VJKK VJKF Just like to say an excellent rehnsabhai. However, I have a VERY IMPORTANT point which was VERY DISTURBING which occured at the Rehn Sabhai. Let me just put this into context... In Guru Gobind Singh Ji's time, a fellow Singh used to read Gurbani, however, on one particular occasion he did not express the correct pronounciation of a "laav"...which gives the "aay" affect on the letter...Upon hearing this, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, in order to prove a point, ordered Sikhs to, quite frankly; kick this guy's butt...as he was disrespecting Gurbani and the future Guru's limbs. At the RehnSabahi a Kirtani Singh was reading a shabad; along the lines of the Bapiya Bird singing at Amrit Vaela. Very nice shabad. However, this was highly disturbing that; during the shabad; he kept on improvising and twisting the words of the shabad and re-aligning them. This occured constantly. In where he would say 2 or 3 words and then say Bapiya again, or Amrit Vaela... People may think, "yeh yeh yeh...it's only a few words which were mixed around to make the shabad sound jazzier"... However,,,this shows sooo much disrespect to our Guru and the Gurbani. WHO ARE WE TO CHANGE GURBANI LYRICS ACCORDINGLY? ARE WE THE GURU? NO. LISTENING TO THIS AND SEEING OTHER SINGHS AND SINGHNI'S BOP THEIR HEAD TO THIS WAS DEVASTATING. I'M NOT SAYING I'M PERFECT...I'M THE LOWEST OF THE LOW... But any Sikh should know that fiddling around with Gurbani is a great sin! Let me put this into context... Imagine someone saying ... "Ik on kar"...followed by "Nirbhau"...followed by "Karta purakh"...all in a continuos phrase on a Vaja. I'd walk out in anger. I mean, shouldn't we have a brain and prevent this from occuring?? I mean we all can read the Gurbani on the Projection screen, so we know what exactly the bani's order is,,, yet we all sat there and recited with him... What will become of us???
