I fully agree that Hindus are not to be clubbed as one It would be like calling every christian a Nazi which is not correct. Why did India Loose West Punjab , Sind , Afghanistan and Baluchistan in last 600 years?. I guess west Punjabis are the one who talk of all religions being equal and preaching peace. I think Sikhs and Christians are the only people who are guardians of Punjabi culture. Under Muslims rule Punjab was badly mauled , plundered and raped . They snatched our beloved Gurdwaras from us and keep it shabbily under there rule so as to finish us spiritually . They are the most discriminated than any other group but still manage to thrive and prosper. It is a time for introspection for we Sikhs of INDIA.( I have excluded the western sikhs who are doing a remarkable Job in there new country ) I shall deal the topics onder two heads :- Firstly :- The evidence of there sucess Secondly :- Reasons for their sucess Firstly :- The evidence of there sucess a ) Bolly wood a journey from 1947 to 2006 :- There was a time when the word Muslim was changed to hindoo name such as Dilip kumar , Sanjay kumar etc . Today they are the hottest selling stuff in movieland . They are the makers of so amny movies Contrast this with Sikh who started with so much good will but have stagnated at Deols and todays Shergill. b) Technology :- They have done some very good science such as Rocket science in the President KALAM and his book " Wings of fire " Wipro a world class software firm CIPLA a world class drug firm. 3) Indian Idol :- The boy is a Muslim . Sikhs did not even take part in it. 4 ) Diamond Industry :- All the technical part and hard part are done by muslims . Alternatively the world could be made a safer place for all its citizens by allowing more Churches , Temples , Gurdwara to come up in Islamic countries with a corresponding increase in population of Christians , Hindus , Buddhist and Sikhs to make it more contemporary as is happening in USA , Canada , India, UK etc today . This should not be done in a symbolic way. The percentage of population could be monitored. Alternatively they could choose from a variety of religion which ever suits there taste bud such as Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism or Sikhism or a Protestant variant of Islam . [Why do we sikhs kill our girls? I want to initiate a discussion on the missing "SIKH GIRL" who is aborted and is not amongst us today on 20 Dec 2005. Why do we sikhs kill our girls ? Are we: 1. Greed for wealth to be earned from dowry--- ? Is this not an Anti Sikh activity as our Gurbani says earn out of your hard work and not out of yours in laws wealth. 2. Scared that we will not be able to save her honour ( strictly speaking it is our own false honour that she should not elope) ? --- Are we Sikhs supposed to be scared. 3. Are we Savage ? -- None of our action of past supports this. I think we are a Kind and a compassionate religous group . 4. Are we foolish ? --- No I dont think so . We have a brilliant PM in our own country . Also we have had a Chief minister in a distant land of British columbia in Canada -- An unbelieveable and unparalled feat . 5.Short sighted ? -- I mean thinking of only ourself and the immediate next generation. I think this is not our legacy. Our ancestors have been giving up their lives for last 500 years so that we could be the harbinger of torch of life. I personally feel we Sikhs have a rendevouz with destiny till Akal. 6. An unidentified ENEMY "X" :- Is there some unidentified enemy that we are not able to see or understand who wants us to opt out of our march to destiny to AKAL ? 7. Stupid Indian Punjab legacy :- Now by some magic and blessing bestowed by our Gurus we are today a Global Community ( Wahe guru willing we shall shortly also become solar residents thanks to NASA and ISRO ). Dear brother's Wahe guru ji tha khalsa and wahe gur ji the fateh I was wondering it was time we started dreaming of a " NOBEL PRIZE " It will bring unmatched glory to us. It will require us to learn few languages at a very early stage such as mathematics , computer language to be able to converse with artificial Intellegence of machines and be highly original.
