  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Europe there was a survey, and Europe is pretty religious.

There reason why in poorer countries people are religious is that, people pray for good things, and that their suffering will be gone. In richer countries people tend to forget god, or are busy to pray to god. There are a bunch of European countries that are really religious. For education, people dismiss that Adam and Eve is fake, and the Earth is 6000 years old. Sikhism, doesn't believe in that and our religion has some really neat religious facts. In the future I feel that, religion will be the thing in the past, but I hope that the future generation will remember god.

Well, the Bible talked about "Big Lizards", which are dinosaurs. So eh, it has some science.

  2. Pretty self explanatory. I was reading something on societies where there's a discernible class divide between northern and southern territories, and in most cases where the levels of education were low (what people are quick to label as 'backwards') the religious fervour and adherence was at its peak, whereas in areas where there are greater numbers of educated professionals there is a noticeable relaxation in religious adherence.

Opinions on why that might be the case? Anyone else disturbed by the suggestion that religious adherence suggests a lack of intelligence (if measured by one's location, employment, environment, etc?) Why does a life lived religiously presuppose a distinct disadvantage in getting ahead in life (if "getting ahead" is measured by a high level of education, a professional job, and the resultant social and financial benefits). There are exceptions in many cases. This is just a broad, generalised look at issues.

All types of replies welcome; spiritual, empirical, whatever.

  3. Personally, I'd have to agree with them on this point(only on the pakhandi Babas religions, not the Satguru Guru Nanak). Reasons being, looking at secular countries become so advanced.

Its just that I feel that Atheists cherry pick their facts from Science. Its just that how did Religion become involved in this. Religious books are not scientific journals, they don't know everything, there are many other mysteries. There are many mysteries on the way.

  4. For some reason I feel that us Humans caused lots of damage to our home. We destroy plants, and homes of the animals. Heck, we are killing our own cousins the Apes! But, I know that some day us Humans will be extinct, and I guess we will be evolved into a new species. I guess we will be reborn again, and again till we fix our actions. On the news they say they are culling deer, while they should cull us humans. Us Humans are the invasive animals, while they say carp cause damage, we are the ones who caused damage, and we are the ones who brought these carp to the oceans. There is one quote I saw in the Guru Granth it said this, " You have made this Earth like a great dish of yours while the living beings get only once in their life. It is the great source of all the materials needed by mortals. But the mortal becomes unsatisfied, and begs for more; his fickle mind brings him disgrace". This represents our demand of the Earths resources, and this quote from the Guru Granth is 100 percent true about us Humans using too much of Earths resources. Also, sorry for being dark about this. I want to tell my view of us Humans.

  5. I am a worthless person and I have not gained anything in my life.

I have made some big decisions about my future. I am going to move away from family friends to a completely new place.

I am thinking of moving to BC or Alberta in Canada. I would like to ask for help and would like to know if it is easy to find work in BC. I would like to be in touch of gursikhs and gurughar and improve my gursikhi as well. I am looking for an affordable city to live where finding work is not like trying luck.

I am a young amritdhari person and capable of doing anything.

Please guide my way my beloved gursikh friends.

Hello brother, in Alberta eh we sort of have a problem with the oil issues, but its getting fixed. I agree with Gurbur, Vancouver is one of the most expensive places ever. Also, if you ever come to Alberta, come to Edmonton, and come to Singh Sabha or Gurdwara Millwoods.

Also, one more thing. I am warning you, do not go to Quebec. I think there is religious restrictions I guess for the Kirpan.

  6. Alright, look everytime when I go to some website I see that they found a new species and then some random guy says" Religion is a fake". Its annoying, I don't know how did religion get into this. But, I feel that some Atheists use Science for their own things, trying to bash religion. I respect Atheism, and its okay. There are always disbelievers. For example most people say that America is better, while others say its not, there are always disbelievers. I know that Sikhism believes Evolution, there was quote in the Guru Granth as well. But, there are many things beyond science.

  7. This is a big topic. People keep denying that Global Warming is fake. Well, its not, and I know that Global Warming is part of nature, but us Humans are speeding up the process. The government are barely doing anything about this problem, and in December, they are going to have a climate summit meeting. I pray to god that they will do something about Global Warming. I know that countries are promising to slow down global warming, but they need to do it fast. Us Humans are the invasive species we destroy environments, and people are saying that these invasive species are coming, well its our fault. I hope we will do something that will save our future.

  8. Its just hard when religions, keep fighting over each other. They keep mocking each other, and I hate it. I believe that everyone is equal. But, now people keep saying that " if you are not a Christian you will go to hell, or if you are not a Muslim you go to hell. I believe that everyone is equal, and that we will all be judged by our actions. I am a Sikh, and there is another problem. Why are people discriminating peoples castes. Our Gurus told us that everyone is equal. I hope that one day that we will all be equal.

  9. They are people who want to colonize Mars, and other planets, and it will take a while. But, if we succeed, it would be pretty cool if we built a Gurdwara at Venus, or even Mars. It would be interesting when Sikhs will move to different planets.

  10. Ahh right, I misread I do apologize.

Guru Nanak disappeared for 3 days, I wonder if you're familiar with this Sakhi as its one of the more well documented ones. During those three days people searched for him and when he returned that's when he proclaimed no hindu and no muslim and also revealed the Japji Sahib. Going from that I would say Waheguru did "communicate" with Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Physically speaking you're right. But the Shabad, the word of god isn't bound by physicality. It comes in many forms, our Gurbani is just one form of it. The Bhagats who Waheguru blessed and then our teachers put their bani into our Guru Granth Sahib all had similar if not the same line of thought as our Guru Sahib. God isn't restricted to one set form in bani.

The Dasam Granth sort of alludes to something against that.

    Very true.

I mean like a living being, thinking, "living" in the sense it has a heart and stuff. Our self awareness is a pretty hot topic. I think our self awareness was something we developed through Evolution. Obviously by Waheguru's kirpa.

    Very true also.

Our Gurus told us to respect nature, and the animals. Also, Albert Enstine was a Pantheistic too.

  11. According to pages 210 - 211 in this book, KPS Gill and Badal held meetings to discuss fake encounters and how to rid Punjab of the Kharkoos. Another claim is he even appeared at the bhog of the murdered Singh's and shed crocodile tears, what a Kanjar and Akirtghan!.

The chance of Singh's being released under his regime is NIL.

Also, KPS Singh was arrested a while ago for molesting a woman in a party.
  12. Sheikh, why even ask that question? Do you really think there's a possibility that he will answer: "NO! Paedophilia is a beautiful thing! I'm CanadianMuslim!" His answer, whether Sikh or secret Muslim troll (which I don't believe he is) would always be yes, yes for the former because it goes without saying, and yes for the latter because he'd naturally be trying to preserve his cover.

    Come on bro.

Why so you think I am a Muslim.. I am not a Muslim.
  13. OP= Original poster or CanadianSingh, did you find any answer reasonably suiting to any of your questions ( in other threads) yet?

No, they keep questioning about my profile saying if I a a Muslim or a troll. I am not a Msulim or a troll.
  14. I never said you were not. Are you happy with the answers you've received from the online sangat?I

Well, yes I did. They helped me. I am just saying is there any science proof of heaven and hell, or the soul. I am not a skeptic at all, its just that the other skeptics want to know.

  15. I don't doubt that your most likely a good kid in the real world; however, asking the same question on different topics in the same forum would look like your spreading propaganda. Did you look at the link I posted, lots of things could be answered there.

I aka good kid, I don't mock other people, and I am a nice person.

  16. "WaheguruBhagatSingh" is still seemingly active though, I assume school prevents him from staying active.

Hanji this is what I was trying to do, to find out if somebody is putting him up to asking these questions or that if he has some problems that he's not able to understand as 13yrs is a young for a child to understand as an adult would so quickly.

Also as bullying has been mentioned so my main concern is if he is being bullied or his school friends are asking for proof of his religion.

Okay, okay I am not being bullied. Well, when I was grade 5 I was being bullied by some Goras, for being Indian okay. There!

It's okay, I don't wish to upset you. I could be wrong. I am a suspicious person by nature unfortunately that's how things have turned out. Keep asking your questions and you'll get your answers. It's nothing personal. Good luck.

Why would I spread propaganda in these forums. I am just asking questions alright, that's it.

  17. In short, subtle (for him) attacks on dharmic concepts such as reincarnation, as well as the rejection of an ever-lasting soul that is reborn according to karmic deeds, in favour of Abrahamic absolute concepts such as heaven and hell. Eventually, the use of science and logic to undermine those previously mentioned concepts, whilst promoting the Islamic view on such matters, but in a very vague and obtuse manner so as not to draw attention to his true agenda.

Of course, his vocabulary will gradually, miraculously, begin to improve over the course of days and weeks, his ideas and explanations becoming steadily lucid and forthright as he begins to feel comfortable on the forum. Had he not made a point of stating his age and stuck to just being a Singh from Canada he might have been able to pull off this charade, or at least make his attempts to troll less obvious for a short time.

Then there's the emotive inclusion of Hindus and 1984, because he knows if there's one subject that unites most Sikhs is the events in India during that time, and the hatred for the Hindu mobs who caused misery for Sikhs.

If I were to hazard a guess I'd say this 'CanadianSingh' is the same individual who purported to be 'WaheguruBhagatSingh' but I could be wrong.

Woah, woah I am not promoting Islamic Values.. I do not reject the soul or anything, I am just asking a question okay. I am not doing anything wrong, its just that as I ask questions about these things, these skeptics keep saying we need scientific proof okay!
