  1. You're very wise for your age.

Eh, I just look at religion. I look at other religious scriptures, and check them out. All of them has some Science in it and its neat!

I got one more question, but I think that us Sikhis believe in a temporary heaven o hell till we are reborn again, or there is a new universe.

  2. They might not be. Guru Nanak Dev Ji took a Pir Dastagir on a voyage and he brought back Prahshad. That means their civilized and at-least (towards Guru Sahib and the Pir) very hospitable. We may find a planet that's just developing or who knows we may find some way to get along with them. Maybe aliens are watching us right now.

P.S- not a conspiracy nut but who knows.

Sikhs are there too. In Guru Granth Sahib Ji it's mentioned that Waheguru's Darbar holds beings of many forms. not just humans.

Kira by the way I am 13 :). Well, if we meet an Alien, lets be friends with the Alien, and give him a cup of Chai, and Barfi.

  3. Yes and No. No in the sense we don't believe in an eternal Damnation for all of eternity in hell and Yes in the sense many spheres or realms which I suppose are akin to Heaven or hell exist. For a Sikh none of it should really matter. Our Goal is freedom from the life cycle.

Our Guru Sahib's described Heaven as being near the Guru, inside the Sadh Sangat and hell as being seperation from Guru sahib.

Some will tell you no, some will say yes. But their all coherent on the point that we should put it all out of our heads as it's not our concern.

Thank you very much. By the way I am 13. I heard that Heaven and Hell is a temporary place.

  4. Nah bro, I'm aware of that :D. Loads of exoplanets out there. I know Sikhs will adapt no problem, I was just pondering it all. Imagine seeing a sunset every year or so. Or even longer or in some cases never. Things like kepler 452b are really exciting in the frontier of possible extra-terrestrial life.

Yeah, our Guru Granth believes that there is other life on other planets. :)

  5. There's no regulation in Punjab as far as im aware. Drugs, booze and everything are rife. Corruption further makes it easier for people to exploit the masses with these substances. Even Sikh philosophy is being tampered with. Everything the Guru Sahib fought against are now being added back. In the west however there's a nice presence of Sikhs who are sort of filtering out the badness that's being mixed into Sikhism. People like BasicsOfSikhi are slowly but surely providing people with information on what true Sikhism is. Even forums help.

My,My for someone born in Canada your love for Sikhism (or atleast your enthusiasm) is a refreshing thing to see.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you.

    I am 13.

Well, I cut my hair, but I respect my religion, and I want to save our religions heritage.

People like Badal cause corruption everywhere.

  6. Why would I lie? You dont know what a Jaat is. Have you ever been to India?

Jaats are found in Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, MP in large numbers. They are Hindus and speak Hindi. The story above is about Jaats of UP. Last year there was a huge riot between Hindu Jaats and Muslims in western UP. Sajan Kumar who killed Sikhs in 84 is a Jaat.

So yes, there is such a thing called a "Jaat"

I am sorry, for this Jonny. It was a misunderstanding, I never heard a such thing as a Jaat.

  7. Well, I am a Sikh, but was born in Canada, and our culture has a strong presence, nothing changed that much. The only things is just that we speak English, and do our Western things. We still believe in our heritage, and faith. I know that we have a drug problem in Punjab, and my mothers cousin had a drug problem, but luckily, he is at rehab. Thanks to Whaeguru. But, I think that the parents of these youth should teach their kids about the effects of drugs, and what will happen.

  8. I have a feeling that religion will be the dust in the future. Technology is rising, and stuff is changing. Our youth do drugs and other bad things. But, I think that religion will still stand in the future. We will colonize other planets, but like our Gurus said the humans wanted more from God in the Earth. But God got disappointed. I hope that we won't do bad things to he planets we colonize. It will also be neat if we have Gurdwaras on different planets.

  9. Alright, I am confused now. I understand the recarnation, but I don't know what will happen to us after liberation? Other Sikhis say we go to heaven or hell. While other Sikhis we don't, and I got another question. So what happens when a Sikh who is not baptized dies? Do they have the same thing as well.

  10. Thanks guys, for the anwsers. I read them, and they were excellent. So, pretty in Sikhism it means that Heaven and Hell is a temperate place, and that we are waiting to get reborn again. But why do Muslims and Christains think that Heaven and Hell is forever?

  11. Look, I am a Sikh, and I am just a tiny bit nervous of Death. I know it will be a long time till I leave this wonderful planet. But, I am just wondering about us Sikhi's believing about Heaven and Hell. Do we believe Heaven and Hell. I also believe in reincarnation as I believe we do a life, and death cycle, and we need to achieve liberation, but when we achieve liberation, what will happen to us after that?
