GET READY FOR ‘SAVE A LIFE’ GIVE BLOOD DAY

Akaal Organisation has taken it upon itself to organise a second ‘Give Blood day’ for the Blakenhall community

LOCATION : Guru Nanak Gurdwara(Hall 4), Sedgley Street, Blakenhall, Wolverhampton

DATE: Sunday 8th February 2009.

TIME: First session will be from 10.30am to 12.30pm

Second session 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Like many people, most of us have never donated blood before in our lives. However we take it for granted that when we go to the hospital that it should be there for us if we were to require it.

‘To be honest, it has probably never occurred to you either’

Each day the National Blood Service collects about 7,000 donations to maintain supplies to hospitals in England and Wales. But on average just 200 of these donations are from ethnic minority donors.

‘It is time for people to stand up and be counted’

On our first ‘Give Blood’ day 81 people attended over a 4 hour period. For 72 of them it was the first time they had attended a give blood session. 55 people successfully gave blood on the day and in addition to this 14 bone marrow samples were taken as well on the day.

This promises to be a great day for all the community. Everybody is invited to come and help save a life by offer as little as 1 hour of your time and 1 pint of blood.

I went and my team smashed the Brum, Walsall, Willenhall Team :cool:

And we smashed the team at the end it was mad .

What they did was all the Singh’s and the Kaur’s Vs The Rest. All I know is the marshals said STOP and next thing you know is there is about 200 - 300 paintballs a second being shot in the direction of the other team it was chaos man but SINGH’s and KAUR’s ROCK. :umm: :umm: :nihungsmile: :nihungsmile:

The first line in Guru Granth Sahib answers that

"ik oa(n)kaar".... There is one and only ONE God... One Universal Creator God
