  1. admins i don't understand why you're letting people be so disrespectful in this thread. there is way too much hatred in this thread and it's starting to look a LOT like some other, less democratic forums. You lot should keep it clean and respectful, we're a Sikh Panth and any 'enemies' we may have should certainly not be other honest Gursikhs that are working towards seva for the panth. We can't have so much infighting about such issues or we'll never be united. This forum should promote unity rather than yelling at each other in a disrespectful tone, we're supposed to be brothers here

    ADMIN NOTE

...And on this note, we end the thread. Having left this thread open for a while, we have no reason to conclude on this thread that the jatha is in anyway or has in anyway been corrupted by GOI or others. It is known that the jatha has in the past, said many truths against organisations and individuals, which can cause ill feeling and, subsequently, rumours.

Jago Wale, throughout decades, have remained very valuable to the Sikh Khalsa panth and we all wish they continue to do the seva, that so many others have been, or are, too scared to do.

    Thread is closed.

  2. Interesting, i wonder when a soul goes back to Dargah, does it go back without any clothes on? Or in the exact same way it was when it died?

I heard a person that goes to "heaven" (or wherever else they go) will keep that physical roop that they had at the time when they died. But I'm not sure? I wonder, when your soul is beign taken by Jamdoots or Shaheed Singhs, what attire you have on (just came into my head after looking at those pics).

Also, do the jamdoots / Dharam Raj take pity on little kids? Or any kids at all? Or are they treated the same as adults

  3. What i've heard so far from the newspaper is that he is a Canadian citizen but he was arrested in the US without a warrant for a crime that they have no evidence of his involvement and the person who accused him is a convicted drug-trafficker. He's been in jail for two weeks without bail because they think he's a threat to the public ?!?! Although he's served the Sikh community in Vancouver for years and years. It's all politics and US Patriot Act garbage.

  4. mam pritpaaran jai teygung!!!! woohoo!!!

jai jai jag kaaran srist ubaran mam pritpaaran jai teygung

tegung comes from TEGH, it's like the sword/tegh, you know, deg + teg = fateh? it's that kind of tegh.. But I think in this context it means Sword..

Jai tegung = hail the sword :D

Mum Pritpaaran = pritpaaran is like to paal something, to take care of it, what does mum mean?

  5. mai andhulae kee tek tera naam khundkara isn't that... i don't know what andhulae means but tek is like sarnaaee isn't it? protection? something like that?

all i know is tera naam khundkara means 'your name is my support' or my anchor - not really support as in "aadhaar" but like... my anchor, my strength

  6. I also think some people bow there because they might THINK guru ji is there and they can't see clearly whether guru ji's suroop is there or not. Sometimes I've gone to the gurdwara and accidently bowed, thinking guru ji's surroop was there, when sukhaasan had already been done or parkash hadn't been done yet... Sometimes you can't tell..

Sadly, some people also bow as a ritual without realizing what bowing represents or stands for

But that's true - wherever Guru Ji sat is probably stll really pure. His essence is still there...

(as long as we dont turn it into a ritual and bow to nothing)

  7. Hunji, actually I've heard a lot about Sodhi but I was asking particularly about pictures of him and Sant Ji together, or even any stories about how Sant Ji and Surinder Singh Sodhi got sooo close..

There are loads of pictures of Sant Ji, many with Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh Ji too, but none with Surinder Singh... How come? I've heard that Amrik Singh and Surinder Singh were like Sant Ji's "main men."

I've actually only seen one picture of Surinder Singh Sodhi, does anyone have any other pics of him?

  8. your efforts are appreciated but you can't just make things up, right

some of what i have written is bull...

indira gandhi did not plead from what i know, she was shot instantly.

beant singh and satwant singh were hanged privatly.

my source was my mind, its not 100% accurate, due to the fact i had to change some things to create some tension in this story. and i still need the hukamnama.

in my opinion, it's not exactly in line with sikhi to make things up when describing the stories of shaheed singhs and their lives/missions.

Beant Singh was actually killed immediately, on the spot, by another of Indira's bodyguards.

Beant/Satwant Singh did NOT choke Indira, as you mentioned above, and I don't think they were sadistic - they wouldn't wait for her face to turn blue and what not. They were Gursikhs of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji... They just wanted justice, and justice would be delivered through sending her back to narag and letting the jamdhoots take care of her. You shouldn't make the Singhs sound sadistic or like something they're not.

It's not right to alter history ji

And also I don't really think it's that right to step into the mind/body of a shaheed or any gursikh and try to imagine what they were thinking. We're not at that level yet where we could even comprehend doing such a thing or beign there in 1984 and witn

    essing all of that...

there's no point in writing these stories to create 'tension' or whatever ji, if you want to create awareness about what happened, then please portray the events correctly without altering anything

    bhul chuk maaf

    vaheguru ji ka khalsa

    vaheguru ji ki fateh

  9. I've heard that Sant Ji considered Shaheed Bhai Surinder Singh Sodhi to be like his own right arm, but I haven't heard any stories about the two of them together and I haven't seen a single picture of them together either.

Does anyone know any stories or of any pictures?

Ive actually only seen one picture of Surinder Singh Sodhi, I wonder if there are more?

  10. u guys are hilarious.

by the way Deep Singh, I am a bhanji, not a veerji. B)

Anyways. I have some more questions

    1) Why did people call him a Sant? Did he start out as being good or something?

    2) Is there any proof that he actually surrendered? Like was he WITH the jatha and then he said that he doesn't want to fight anymore? Or what? Are there any websites or anything to read about this

    3) Whats AISSF

    4) Do u have any info about the rajiv-longoval pact? Or whats the anandpur sahib resolution? 10th regiment veerji you know a LOT... wow..

    5) DEEP SINGH whats SAD?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really curious. I was told that Tohra wasn't as bad as people made him sound. Badal is a different story obviously.. But someitmes people say all these bad things without real reason, but you guys are giving some pretty good reasons 4 why he may have been wrong..

    P.S. I hate the telletubbies

P.P.S I think ive seen the picture youre talking about, I was wondering who the teddy bear guy was... But it's too big to upload
