my favourite was double, double edged sword but our instructor stopped coming about 7 yrs ago. - he used to bring it! It was pretty lethal for the person in front, behind on my sides and myself if i had lost my momentum and concentration! now moved to alternative - double sword.

2 years ago, my dads masar jee came from india to visit. They are a classical keertanee and told us Bhai Sahib jees rare style of keertan where they used to sing to the highest note on the vaja. They even encountered that bhai sahib jee used to start playing on the wood on the other side of the vaja as there wasn't a higher note!

I had the privelage to attend bhai sahib jee's funeral.
it wasnt like the usual indian funeralsEveryone (must've been at least 1000 people) was doing jaap and it felt amazing. I was expecting people to be in tears; i guess they all knew that bhai sahib jee's aatmaa was what had escaped from the misery inwhich we live in.

I enjoy Bhai Manmihan Singh Jee's (san jose waale) Keertan as it combines akj and raag.
- excellent combo!
now all i do in my free periods (sixth form college), and free time at home is chek l8est keertan.
Its amazing how guru jee played with gurbani so that people could understand it.

For get about it. It's BC, the land where the ManmukhsI totally agree. i just came back from bc 3 months ago and realised how far away from sikhi i had gone; in terms of abyass.
The problem in BC is that all of our people are in a competitive frame of mind - trying to outwin other ethnic minorities.

why doesn't anyone say 'i wish i could meet Guru Granth Sahib' - everyday. Our Guru ji is always living, just feel his presence, we believe and follow their teachings whether in form of scriptures or body.
Guru Arjan Dev Jee maharaj says:
dhur kee banee aaee
The Bani of His Word emanated from the Primal Lord.
Guru Raamdaas jee also said:
baanee guroo guroo hai baanee vich baanee anmrith saarae
The Word, the Bani is Guru, and Guru is the Bani. Within the Bani, the Ambrosial Nectar is contained.

err, i thought medicine was a 5 year course - not a 1 year course. I'm sure that you are awarded the title of 'doctor' (in medicine) once you have completed and passed the 5 year degree program.
