  1. Oh, That Other Hindu Riot Of Passage 1. By Khushwant Singh 07 November, 2004 Outlook Magazine There are two anniversaries so deeply etched in my mind that every year they come around I recollect with pain what happened on those two days. They occurred 20 years ago. One is October 31, when Mrs Gandhi was gunned down by her two Sikh security guards. The other is the following day, when the 'aftermath' consummated itself: frenzied Hindu mobs, driven by hate and revenge, finally killed nearly 10,000 innocent Sikhs across north India down to Karnataka. Four years later, Mrs Gandhi's assassins Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh paid the penalty for their crime by being hanged to death in Tihar jail. Twenty years later, the killers of 10,000 Sikhs remain unpunished. The conclusion is clear: in secular India there is one law for the Hindu majority, another for Muslims, Christians and Sikhs who are in minority. October 31, 1984: The sequence of events remains as vivid as ever. Around 11 am, I heard of Mrs Gandhi being shot in her house and taken to hospital. By the afternoon, I heard on the bbc that she was dead. For a couple of hours, life in Delhi came to a standstill. Then hell broke loose-mobs yelling khoon ka badla khoon se lenge (we'll avenge blood with blood) roamed the streets. Ordinary Sikhs going about their life were waylaid and roughed up. In the evening, I saw a cloud of black smoke billowing up from Connaught Circus: Sikh-owned shops had been set on fire. An hour later, mobs were smashing up taxis owned by Sikhs right opposite my apartment. Sikh-owned shops in Khan Market were being looted. Over 100 policemen armed with lathis lined the middle of the road and did nothing. At midnight, truckloads of men armed with cans of petrol attacked the gurudwara behind my back garden, beat up the granthi and set fire to the shrine. I was bewildered and did not know what to do. Early next morning, I rang up President Zail Singh. He would not come on the phone. His secretary told me that the president advised me to move into the home of a Hindu friend till the trouble was over. The newly-appointed prime minister, Rajiv Gandhi, was busy receiving guests arriving for his mother's funeral; home minister Narasimha Rao did not budge from his office; the Lt Governor of Delhi had no orders to put down the rioters. Seventy-two gurudwaras were torched and thousands of Sikh houses looted. The next few days, TV and radio sets were available for less than half their price. Mid-morning, a Swedish diplomat came and took me and my wife to his home in the diplomatic enclave. My aged mother had been taken by Romesh Thapar to his home. Our family lawyer, Anant Bir Singh, who lived close to my mother, had his long hair cut off and beard shaved to avoid being recognised as a Sikh. I watched Mrs Gandhi's cremation on TV in the home of my Swedish protector. I felt like a Jew must have in Nazi Germany. I was a refugee in my own homeland because I was a Sikh. What I found most distressing was the attitude of many of my Hindu friends. Two couples made a point to call on me after I returned home. They were Sri S. Mulgaonkar and his wife, Arun Shourie and his wife Anita. As for the others, the less said the better. Girilal Jain, editor of The Times of India, rationalised the violence: the Hindu cup of patience, he wrote, had become full to the brim. N.C. Menon, who succeeded me as editor of The Hindustan Times, wrote of how Sikhs had "clawed their way to prosperity" and well nigh had it coming to them. Some spread gossip of how Sikhs had poisoned Delhi's drinking water, how they had attacked trains and slaughtered Hindu passengers. At the Gymkhana Club where I played tennis every morning, one man said I had no right to complain after what Sikhs had done to Hindus in Punjab. At a party, another gloated "Khoob mazaa chakhaya-we gave them a taste of their own medicine." Word had gone round: 'Teach the Sikhs a lesson'. Did the Sikhs deserve to be taught a lesson? I pondered over the matter for many days and many hours and reluctantly admitted that Hindus had some justification for their anger against Sikhs. The starting point was the emergence of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as a leader. He used vituperative language against the Hindus. He exhorted every Sikh to kill 32 Hindus to solve the Hindu-Sikh problem. Anyone who opposed him was put on his hit list and some eliminated. His hoodlums murdered Lala Jagat Narain, founder of the Hind Samachar group of papers. They killed hawkers who sold their papers. The list of Bhindranwale's victims, which included both Hindus and Sikhs, was a long one. More depressing to me was that no one spoke out openly against him. He had a wily patron in Giani Zail Singh who had him released when he was charged as an accomplice in the murderof Jagat Narain. Akali leaders supported him. Some like Badal and Barnala, who used to tie their beards to their chins, let them down in deference to his wishes. So did many Sikh civil servants. They lauded him as the saviour of the Khalsa Panth and called him Sant. I am proud to say I was the only one who wrote against him and attacked him as a hate-monger. I was on his hit list and continued to be so on that of his followers-for 15 long years-and was given police protection which I never asked for. Bhindranwale, with the tacit connivance of Akali leaders like Gurcharan Singh Tohra, turned the Golden Temple into an armed fortress of Sikh defiance. He provided the Indian government the excuse to send the army into the temple complex. I warned the government in Parliament and through my articles against using the army to get hold of Bhindranwale and his followers as the consequences would be grave. And so they were. Operation Bluestar was a blunder of Himalayan proportions. Bhindranwale was killed but hailed as a martyr. Over 5,000 men and women lost their lives in the exchange of fire. The Akal Takht was wrecked.Symbolic protests did not take long coming. I was part of it; I surrendered the Padma Bhushan awarded to me. Among the people who condemned my action was Vinod Mehta, then editor of The Observer. He wrote that when it came to choosing between being an Indian or a Sikh, I had chosen to be a Sikh. I stopped contributing to his paper. I had never believed that I had to be one or the other. I was both an Indian and a Sikh and proud of being so. I might well have asked Mehta in return, "Are you a Hindu or an Indian?" Hindus do not have to prove their nationality; only Muslims, Christians and Sikhs are required to give evidence of their patriotism.Anti-Sikh violence gave a boost to the demand for a separate Sikh state and Khalistan-inspired terrorism in Punjab and abroad. Amongst the worst was the blowing up of Air India's Kanishka (June 23, 1985), which killed all its 329 passengers and crew, including over 30 Sikhs. Sant Harchand Singh Longowal, who signed the Rajiv-Longowal accord (July 29, 1985), was murdered while praying in a gurudwara just three weeks later. In August 1986, General A.S. Vaidya, who was chief of staff when Operation Bluestar took place, was gunned down in Pune in August 1985. The killings went on unabated for almost 10 years. Terrorists ran a parallel government in districts adjoining Pakistan which also provided them arms training and escape routes. It is estimated that in those 10 years over 25,000 were killed. Midway, the Golden Temple had again become a sanctuary for criminals. This time the Punjab police led by K.P.S. Gill was able to get the better of them with the loss of only two lives in what came to be known as Operation Black Thunder (May 13-18, 1988). The terrorist movement petered out as the terrorists turned gangsters and took to extortion and robbery. The peasantry turned its back on them. About the last action of Khalistani terrorists was the murder of chief minister Beant Singh, who was blown up along with 12 others by a suicide bomber on July 31, 1995, at Chandigarh. It is not surprising that with this legacy of ill-will and bloodshed a sense of alienation grew among the Sikhs. It was reinforced by the reluctance of successive governments at the Centre to bring the perpetrators of the anti-Sikh pogrom of October 31 and November 1, 1984. A growing number of non-Sikhs have also come to the conclusion that grave injustice has been done to the Sikhs. Several non-official commissions of inquiry-including one headed by retired Supreme Court chief justice S.M. Sikri, comprising retired ambassadors and senior civil servants-have categorically named the guilty. However, all that the government has done is to appoint one commission of inquiry after another to look into charges of minor relevance to the issue without taking any action. The Nanavati Commission has been at it for quite some time: I rendered evidence before it over two years ago. It has asked for further extension of time, which has been granted till the end of this year. The only word I can think of using for such official procrastination is disgraceful. I have to concede that the attitude of the bjp government led by Atal Behari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani towards the Sikhs has been more positive than that of the Congress, many of whose leaders were involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh violence. Some of it may be due to its alliance with the principal Sikh political party, the Akalis, led by Parkash Singh Badal. It also gives them a valid excuse to criticise the Congress leadership. Nevertheless, I welcomed the Congress party's return to power in the Centre because it also promises a fairer deal to other minorities like the Muslims and Christians. And I make no secret of my rejoicing over the choice of Manmohan Singh, the first Sikh to become prime minister of India and he in his turn selecting another Sikh, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, to head the Planning Commission. The dark months of alienation are over; the new dawn promises blue skies and sunshine for the minorities with only one black cloud remaining to be blown away-a fair deal to families of victims of the anti-Sikh violence of 1984. It was the most horrendous crime committed on a mass scale since we became an independent nation. Its perpetrators must be punished because crimes unpunished generate more criminals. This Artical I got off of the internet. http://www.countercurrents.org/comm-khushwantsing071104.htm And this is from the book I am reading.. By Khushwant Singh.. Truth love & a little malice.. I wanted to get better aquainted with punjab Politics and decided to go to Anritsar on the day the Akalis launched their Dharma Yudh Morcha. I had strong reservation about it. In the morning I had met leaders of the Congress and the B.J.P. groups. In the afternoon I walked up to Manji Sahib Gurdwara Adjoining the Golden Temple to listen to Akali leaders and take in the scene. There must have been over 20,00 Sikhs sitting on the ground and another five to ten thousand standing around. On the dais besides the Granth Saibh, sat the elite of the Akali party: Sant Harcharan Singh Longwal, Jathedar Tohra, ex chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, ex-Finance Minister Balwant Singh, es-Members of parliament Balwant Singh Ramoowalia and Nirlep Kaur. The shining star of the glaxy was Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Tohra spotted me standing in the crowd. He two men to fetch me. Very reluctantly I allowed myself to be dragged along and found myself seated in the front row between the Granth Sahiv and the microphone. Most of the speeches that followed were directed at me. Bhindranwale had never seen me I heard him turn to one of his cronies and ask ‘Eh Kaun hai?’- who is he? I heard my name mentioned. He knew about me and what I had weritten against him. I had issued instructions that the prefix Sant (Saint) was not to be used in his name in any reference to him in the paper I edited. An Australian pressman had also told him that I thought the Bhindranwale was aiming to become the 11th guru of the Sikhs. ‘If that fellow really said that, Bhindrawale replied, ‘I will have him and his family widped out.’ The Australian quickly recanted, to save our lives. I find it very painfull to sit on the ground I had to keep shifting my position to give relief to my aching knees and bottom. One fiery speech followed another. The crowd became restless and clamored for Bhindranwale. At last he came to the microphone amid thunderous cries of ‘Boley So Nihal- Sat Sri Akal’. He was a tall, lean man with an aquiline nose, diary eyes and a long, flowing beard, In his left hand he held a silver arrow, the sort seen in picrures fo Guru Gobind Singh and Mahrarja Ranjit Singh. A bandoiler crarged with bullets ran across his chest. He had a pistol attached in its holster and held a four foot long kirpan in his right hand. His speech was also addressed to me. ‘I don’t know this Sardar Sahib sitting near my feet,’ he started. ‘They tell me he is the Editor of some English paper called The Hindustan Times. I cant speak English I am told he writes that I create hatred vetween the Sikhs and Hindus. This is a lie. I am a preacher. I go from village to village telling Sikhs to come back toe the path of the tenth Gure. I tell them to stope clipping their beards, to refrain from taking opium and smoking tobacco, I baptise them into the khalsa panth.’ There were loud cries of Sat Sri Akal to express approval. He warmed to his theme. ‘If I had my way, you know what I woudl do to all these Sardars who drink whisky-shisky every evening? I would douse them in kerosene oil and set fire to the bloody lot.’ The announcement was greeted with prolonged cries of ‘Boley So Nihal - Sat Sri Akal’. It was ironical that the vast majority of the audience applauding him were Sikh Jats notorious for their addiction to hard liquor. I turned to Badal and Balwant Singh, both of whom had taken Scotch in my home and said, ‘What Chief Minister Darbara Singh has been unable Singh has been unable to do with all his police this chap will do with one matchstick.’ They sniggered. "He would refer to Mrs Gandhi as Panditan de dhee or Bahmani-- that Pandit's daughter or teh Brahman woman. Hinus were dhotian, poian walley - those who wear dhotis and caps. In one speech he exhorted every Sikh to kill 32 Hindus, not 31 or 33 - only 32he said (in that way the inthe entire population of Hindus would be accounted for). Okey I have a lot more from Khushwant Singh but don’t have time I’ll will post it latter. But for now I want to know if ‘Bhindrawale’ was worth a "Sikh Leader" Now I don’t mean to target the Sikh community (I am a Sikh as well.... don’t know If I am worth one but certainly claim to be one) And Please don’t bombard me... this is just plain facts and analysis...(by facts I mean the Articles by Khuswant Singh not necessarily what he writes in them.) Why do so many Sikhs on Sikh Sangat hate him? I want plain facts and what he has done wrong to provoke the emotions of Sikhs with facts.. What has he said wrong?... If that fellow really said that, Bhindrawale replied, ‘I will have him and his family widped out.’ The Australian quickly recanted, to save our lives. How could Sant Ji Say such a thing.... I don’t know if kushwant Singh is telling the truth. I think it is a lie as Sant Ji never backed on his promise and if he promised to wipe him out he would have the day he came to hear his speech but rather he let him go in one peace.. Kushwant Sing claims to have been on bhindrawales hit list... I don’t think he would be living if he was but the part of wiping out the family was “wrong” ‘If I had my way, you know what I woudl do to all these Sardars who drink whisky-shisky every evening? I would douse them in kerosene oil and set fire to the bloody lot.’ Again unappreciated violence shown by bhindrawle... ( Shouldn’t he rather help them out) Sikh to kill 32 Hindus 1. Sikh to kill 32 Hindus, not 31 or 33 - only 32he said (in that way the inthe entire population of Hindus would be accounted for). If this is true (I haven’t heard all his speeches so I don’t know, but what I do know for a fact is that in one of his speeches he warned the govt that if his buss inst released he would lay down the lives of 5000 Hindus... If this is true then he has failed as a leader and definitely falied as a Saint... Now pleas don’t hate me. Just looking at the 1984 issues from a different point of view.
  2. Check my post on Satwant and Beant Singh.. and all the shaheedi seva u r talking about not even a dollar is reached india if it did beant singhs childern wouldnt be living in such a condition!!! These guys in forigen gurudawars are looting all the money and making houses for themselves buying the latest cars... Read my Post then tell me what Seva u r talking about.... so much money is being collected by gurudwars and the children of such great shaheeds how took revenge for injustice against sikhs and Golden Temple, arnt even allowed at school living on such low incomes where we should have awareded them... I presume they will turn out to be the greatis anti Sikhsss because they have seeen the reality... all those shaheedi samagams or programs related to khalistan or human rights. are ntn but rippin you off they fool u and u get fooled i mean didnt u ever think where dat money was going... Read my post on Satwant and Beant Singh and then prove me worng Narinder Singh before you start making bold statments... get to the depth of that matter!! Last post was supposed to be Wrong,, not worng by bad Bhul Chuk Maaf
  3. No replies Do I Need to Put the Song "Wake Up Call.." See big words and big topics but when It comes to do Seva no one shows up!!... How are we gonna create Khalistan when Sikhs arnt even willing to do a small favo to the shaheeds.... How are more worriors going to gain courage when we arnt willing to support their children????
  4. Good post Narinder Singh... But dont You feel a little ashamed of your self for using such language...On a website which represents thoughts of young Sikhs... What impressions are you creating Singhaaa I think you were relating to my post on the families why do you disagree don’t they deserve to be loved and taken care of or should We be so stone hearted.... I don’t know about you but I believe Sikhism is a very nice religion which teaches people to help their fellow folks... Man they need to be helped.. If you have read my posts... I hate Badal but understand the average Sikh community in India they are not literate thanks to RSS which insists on teaching Hindi in schools... but anyways after the 1984 Sikhs in Punjab... using a strong word ‘hate’ congress because of their injustice done against them.. They are justified... Even tho literate people who understand these things are located in cities and have access to the net only make up 20-25 percent of votes.. The remaining believe the Akali Dal... Is a Sikh party because it uses the word Akali and they fear those incidents(1984) to ever happen again.. So fooled to believe that Akali Dal is a Sikh party they continue to vote... Do you feel me... Not there fault Badal a corrupt politician takes advantage of these sad situation... And no we cant kill them in India because we don’t want our bodies cut in to various size pieces, but what stopped you from attacking him in America you could have gotten away wid it no torture only 90 something years in jail with homosexual people...
  5. LOL i love that line.....Bhul Chuk Maaf..... Singh Jassa can i plz use your line.... Sorry off topic go on.... lol Bhul Chuk Maaf
  6. I want all Sikhs from India who read this post and are willing to do seva for these mahan families to contact me... we'll get together and make their financial situation stronger.. so then we can encourage more people and I dream one day we will have an organization which will help Sikhs stuck in such problems... Don’t worry doing seva is not illegal
  7. Okey guys in the 'WEST' any one can stage rallies in America, Canada, England... why don't you come to India and stage a rallies in India... lets see you stand the lathi charge of these cops.. Remember India in not a democracy... I don’t know how to explain it bro but when you face the harsh reality of India you’ll realize.... and your views on Khalistani Punjabis will change..(I don’t call Sikhs in India Indian Sikhs Khalistani instead as I Obey order of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa... The day golden temple is attacked foundation stone for Khalistan will be laid) The fire for Khalistan is over and tho ashamed to tell you there will be no Punjab in another 10 years... And by the way what were you saying about movies... Jo Boley So Nihal.. Well they guys who blew up the ‘satyam cenima’ and the other one near modle town where Indian Sikhs.. They were Babars now in jail... Oh so what happened in France are Sikhs still not allowed worship Sikhi... Lets see that happen in India... Like jassa singh we are allowed to carry kirpan’s on planes try to achieve that right in England.... But yes this is the truth Sikhs in India are losing Sikhi and if a wave for the demand of khalistan doesn’t start soon there will be no Punjab.... I apologize for if I hurt anyone... I have nothing against NRI’s that would be stupid If Khalistan is gonna result in a civil war well I don’t want Khalistan... Sikhi is more important than Khalistan... I just don’t want NRI’S to discriminate Sikhs for not talking action.... We take all the action needed and are severely punished by HIND SARKAAR... Akali Dal is no better!!!!
  8. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh May Waheguru have mercy on your arrogant soul “Dancing Warrior”. I am so ashamed at you, my disappointment can not be described. Our own Gurus have sought revenge when ever the Golden Temple was attacked. Baba Deep Singh (1682-1757) took revenge from the Mughal’s on November 11, 1757. In April 1757, The Mughal’s raided Punjab for the fourth time. While they were on there way back to Kabul from Delhi they took with them all the valuable belongings fo Sikhs and Hindus, they also took women to be sold as prostitutes. The Sikhs made a plan to attack him at retake their valuables and set the prisoners free. When Jahan Khan heard about this incident he was shocked as no one had ever challenged his authority. He sent in his delegates to find about these “Warrior Saints” and where they lived. His generals explained that these courageous people were Sikhs who lived in the jungle and kept moving from place to place. Making it impossible to rage war against them, but there most valued shrine was ‘Harmandir Sahib (The Golden Temple)’. Jahan Khan ordered a general to lead a force of twenty thousand Mughals, they proceeded towards Amritsar and eventually captured Harmandir Sahib, 15 Sikhs proudly defended their shrine till their last breath, against 20,000 Mughals. After they captured Harmandir Sahib many vulgar activities were conducted within the temple to challenge the Sikhs. When Baba Deep Singh heard about this he promised to take revenge. Five hundred men came forward to go with him to free Harmandir Sahib. Baba Deep Singh Ji did Ardas and offered prayers before starting for Amritsar:"May I keep fighting till I have seen Sahib freed and under Sikh control." As he went from village to village, many other Sikhs joined him. By the time Baba Deep Singh Ji reached Tarn Taran Sahib 14 miles from Amritsar, he had over five thousand peasants armed with hatchets, swords, and spears, in his train. Mughals clashed at the village of Gohalwar on November 11, 1757. The Sikhs pushed the Mughals back and reached the village of Chabba where General Attal Khan came forward and inflicted a blow on Baba Deep Singh Ji whilst Baba Deep Singh inflicted a blow on him and his head separated from his body. Baba Ji also suffered a deep wound on his neck. A Singh reminded Baba Deep Singh Ji, "You had done Ardas and promised to see Harmandir Sahib free from the Mughals." On hearing this, Baba Deep Singh Ji did another Ardas where he asked Waheguru to bless him and give him strength. When Baba Ji freed Harmandir Sahib, he thanked Waheguru for giving him strength and achieved Shaheedi. Dancing Warrior doesn’t Baba Deep Sigh deserve to be honored or would you rather let the Mughlas occupy our honored Harmandir Sahib, conduct vulgar activities and wait for justice to prevail by its self.. Beant Singh and Satwant Shing need to honored for their great sacrifice.. “Oh soorme Singh Pug Kom De Rakhgey” We are proud of them and need to support their families..
  9. No one laughingly gives up their life, I am sure if given the choice they would have preferred life to death. Hey Satwant and Beant Singh's had a choice they could have preferred to live.. But when Harmandar Sahib was attacked knowing the future of their Families and that they would be achieve Shaheedi they still gave up their lives to take revenge of our sacred shrine and our 11th guru Sir Guru Granth Sahib.. Which was shot and burnt... I doubt they regretted that.... Wouldn’t you call that laughingly but anyways how am I to compare such guru dey payare.. Sant Jarnail Singh Je Kahlsa knowing Harmandar Sahib was going to be attacked swore to defend it as ordered by our Gurus.. He had a choice he could have fled but he laughingly accepted Shaheedi.. Every Gursikh who swore to seek revenge knew their future.. Wouldn’t you call that laughingly or were they sad and didn’t want to fight.... Was their anything forcing them????
  10. Well was that directed towards me.. I deeply feel sad for your relatives my sympathy for emm... and I shall pray for their well being.. But for the rest.. Yes I do Ardas for the shaheeds of not only 1984 but from the start of Sikhism, All those who laughingly surrendered their lives for Khalsa.. Shaheed Bhai Ajit Singh, Shaheed Bhaj Amarjeet Singh Babar, Shaheed Bhai Amarjeet Singh Shahzada, Shaheed Bhai Arvinderjeet Singh Goldy, Shaheed Bhai Avtar Singh Babbar, Shaheed Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma, Shaheed Major Baldev Singh Ghuman, Shaheed Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal... list goes on.. Sant baba jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa, But thats besides the point of this post.. I want to set up an orginization which will fund the families of these heros... Beant Shingh jee.. and stwant sing jee's families will be the first ones that we are going to support.. The names i have listed will be only a few of the sikhs that we are going to help.. and No i didnt get these names off ove my head.. i am ashamed... but that’s the point of these post we need to respect these shaheeds only then will other be encouraged to fight for Khalsa and our guru will be proud off us.. Lets organize this..
  11. Next time you go to Delhi or Panjab, take some time out of your trip to visit areas where our Sikh heroes families are living (usually shanty towns) and donate whatever you can. Give it to these people directly. Help them improve the quality of their lives. Their relatives gave their lives for us, so we could live as free Sikhs without being under the foot of the corrupt Indian government - the least we can do is give a little something back.
  12. Amar Shaheeds: Bhai Beant Singh and Bhai Satwant Singh Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh 22 years ago today two beloved sons of the panth, Bhai Beant Singh Ji and Bhai Satwant Singh Ji delivered justice to Dusht Indira Gandhi. First Beant Singh and Satwant Singh wanted to see with their own eyes what Indira Gandhi had done in Punjab, and at Amritsar. The three Singhs shocked at the scene at Siri Akal Thakht Sahib, made their minds up and went to Siri Darbar Sahib and did ardas, “Oh Akaal Purkh, give us strength!” After seeing the state of Siri Darbar Sahib, both Satwant Singh and Beant Singh returned to Delhi back to their duty. On 24th October 1984, Beant Singh and Satwant Singh took Amrit at a Gurdwara in Delhi. Neither were particularly knowledgeable on Gurbani, but Operation Blue Star and the legend of Sukha Singh and Mehtab Singh were foremost in their mind. This is what led them to take the blessing of Amrit. Satwant Singh always had the late shift, and Beant Singh always had the early shift. They had to work out a way to both be on duty together. On 31st October, Satwant Singh faked a stomach bug, and swapped duties with another guard. Now they had to decide how to do the task. They decided the best time was when Indira Gandhi was doing her walkabout. On the morning of 31st October 1984 at 9am as Indira Gandhi walked from her house to her office at Safardajung Road. Bhai Beant Singh shot her 5 times with his service revolver. Bhai Satwant Singh at the same time lifted his Thompson Staingun and shot 28 bullets. Seeing Indira Gandhi fall, all of her PA`s and ministers ran for their lives. The Indo-Tibetian Border Police commandos, who also guarded the grounds would not come close. Both Singhs shouted “Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akaal!!”. These two brave lions walked on this path without thinking twice. They both had families and they both knew that those relatives of theirs would have to suffer for their actions. But even knowing this they chose to walk on this beautiful path of truth and justice which was set by Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. Today the Sikh Kaum has forgotten their sacrifice. Even remembering them on the day they sent Indira Gandhi to face dharma raj seems too much for many. After Bhai Beant Singh Ji drank the nectar of martyrdom his three children, Bhai Sarabjeet Singh, Bhai Jasvinder Singh and Bibi Amrit Kaur were kicked out of the school they used to attend. These three children were turned down at all government schools they applied to. Even the SGPC denied them education in Khalsa college! As a consequence of this all three children had to get a private education. Today Bhai Beant Singh Ji’s sons live in Phase 5 of Sahibzada Ajeet Singh Nagar, Mohali. Their source of income is nothing more than the rent they receive from a room. Bhai Beant Singh Ji’s family live in a financially weak situation. Why would any Sikh want to fight for khalistan if these is what their families would have to face.. Many Gurudwaras in foreign countries collect money from Sikhs on basses of Khalistan and injustice against Sikhs.. But guess where all that money is going... Its used to make bungalows for themselves and buying expansive cars.. If every Sikh in India even gave 1 rupee for Beant, Satwant Singh’s families they would have enough to build a huge house and offer their grandsons education.. This is the reality and if all foreign Sikhs gave one dollar... where actually they give a lot more than that... then the families off all the shaheeds of 1984 would be able to live more than a sufficient Life.. Something needs to be done... We need non corrupt Sikh Leaders...
  13. Okey i might be wrong tell me which post your talking about...???.. Are you from India?
  14. Hey Singh's When is these protest taking place ill be in punjab this week tell me about it when and where... Ill be there hope to see you guys there enough of these Shive Sane lets show im What Singhs are made offf... so their Moms can tell their childern... Singha Naal Vehr naaa payain bachiaaaa....
  15. Well maybe I don’t deserve to write this post as many people on Sikh Sangat... Well are not too found of me anyways here I go again. Well what I can make out so far is that Singh Jassa is trying to ask that why is it that Sikhs out side India demand Khalistan while Sikhs in India are not so desperate or have sorta forgoten about it...“the fire is not that high about khalistan in punjabi sikhs ... then in uk or canada or us sikhs ... i just need to ask why ????” Well ill tell you why that is sooo.. It might disappoint Sikhs outside India but I speak form my heart... The reason Sikhs in India are not fighting is because they know there is no point in acting brave on the net and listening to dharmik music getting all charged up.. Because the reality for all Khalistani’s is the same Brutal torture by the police and eventually death... It is easy for Americans and others to act patriotic but eventually its just the net and you guys don’t face reality... nothing is gonnna happen to u for posting on Sikh Sangat but for people like me who live in India can be arrested and beaten up.. Wid no Justice from the Hindu Sarkarr.. And Singh Jassa its not that Punjabis in India don’t want khalistan if the movement was to start again it will be these Guru dey Pyarey who will sacrifice their lives.. No one from America or Canada is gonna come to the rescue... Its easy to posts up on the net... But it takes a real guru da pyarra to take action.... While you play Hokkey... We Punjabis living in Khalistan will be killed.... Im gonna write about some tortures that were done to Sikhs then picture your self in that position,, and after that tell me if u would be willing to do such a sacrifice for khalsa Panth or would u rather post on net... discriminating Sikhs......... Torture:: One day Bhai Sahib was arrested by Vairoval Police in the Amritsar area. For many days Bhai Sahib was kept hanging upside down in the police station. Foot-long metal rods were heated up and hammered into his legs, from the heels upward. A pin was put through his private parts and an electricity connection was attached to it so that he could be shocked. Hot metal rods were also passed through his chest. But the Guru's Singh took the tortures calmly. All the torturers heard was "Vahiguru". No cries of pain, no screams. After the torture, Bhai Sahib was left on the ground, unable to move. The time for Rehraas arrived. Bhai Sahib opened his eyelids but the sockets that held his eyes were hollow. His beautiful beard was soaked in blood. Those eyes which were once lost in deep meditation had been taken out by the dushts.\ And like I said before... Its RSS which is killing the Youth in India... Read my other post on RSS.. Who teach Hindi in schools so Sikhi can be forgotten.. Supply drugs and what not... I am deeply saddened by unstopped deeds of RSS guys.... Which are still being practiced I Punjab soon there will be no Punjab..,. Rss have week the Sikh youth... Remember those days when People would keep pride in their fellow Sighs muscular bodies and tall heights... Shera Wargey Gabroo.. Who once lived the life of lions in punjab... Sorry got a bit too emotional
  16. Who is International Akaali....
  17. Hey Raju Do you still disagree with me and side up with RSS. Drugs in Punjab 80% of Punjabi youth takes drugs. The drug problem came to notice only few years ago. The spark was present since past many years, but the fire spread only two or three years ago and it is destroying many houses in Punjab. According to our survey, 78% people say that users make their first contact with drugs through friends. The most popular drugs among students are: Alcohol - reported by 38% Smack - reported by 37% Cigarettes - reported by 25% As you see in the above survey result, smack (powder form of heroin) is trying to take number 1 spot among the punjabi youth. Chemist Shops In the villages, the chemist shops which are meant to be the lifeline for the villagers are one major source of illegal drugs for the village people. There is a major need to control the illegal sale of medicines. The chemists do not ask for a prescription, and they do not keep any inventory of the drugs sold. They even sell the medicine in bulk to individuals, without any doctor’s prescription. Two Day Anti-Drug Campaign in Khalsa College, Amritsar SikhGiving in collaboration with United Sikhs held two day drug awareness camp at Khalsa College, Amritsar. A booth was set up as a part of the United Sikhs Anti-Drug program DEEVA (Drug Eradication through Education, Vigilance and Awareness). The main goal of this project is to educate the upcoming generation regarding the negative effects of DRUGS. Our Drug Awareness campaign is targeting the youth who yet have to enter the world of higher education and have to deal with peer pressure. Our Survey Data collected from random 48 users of areas around Amritsar City (approx. 6 villages). Most of the drug users are in the age group of 20 to 30 years old. From the last three years the drug use has seen a steep rise. Everybody has one thing in common which is "Unemployment". They usually inherit a good share of land ranging from 5 Kilas up to 25 kilas or belong to rich families. All of them use heroin (Smack) users. Visit this link to see survey stats: http://www.SikhGiving.com/drugs/q1.htm Desperate Youth - Willing to do anything to get High Petrol - They dip a piece of cotton wool in petrol and keep it under their nose and inhale the air and they get high by doing that. Lizard - They kill and burn the lizard and eat it to get high. Boot Polish - They rub the boot polish onto the back of their neck and turn it towards the sun and they get high feeling by doing that. Petrol Pipes - They eat the dirt deposited on the leaking petrol pipe of vehicles and petrol pumps. Bhang in Cigarette - They rub the Bhang leaf in oily hands until it turns into a small ball of dirt and they put that small ball into the cigarette and smoke it. This gives them more thrill/high than normal cigarettes. Iodex - They use Iodex in place of Jam on a toast and with that taste they get high. Iodex is a pain relief balm. Correction Fluid - A simple stationary item which is used to correct writing or typing errors on papers. They cut open it and drink the whole fluid to get high. Rehab Clinics Drug De-addiction/Rehab clinics in Punjab are not being open to help the addicts but another way to do business. We couldn't find any clinic which offers good long term plan for the addicts and works according to the Gurmat priniciples. We found Navjeevan Rehab center as the most effective clinic which offers counseling and raising the self-esteem of the addicts. But there are few down points according to Sikh rehat; They shave off everything on addicts face (including Eyebrows) as the punishment to those who try to run away from the clinic. Drug problem in Punjab can be controlled only if we run the de-addiction centre according to sikhi rehat, including maintaining the Strict Amrit Vela program. Sikhi lifestyle can give these addicts a new life, making them feel that drugs are BIG NO in their religion. We need to lift the spirits of the addicts and boost their self esteem by giving them good counseling and gurmat education.
