  3. aaaahhh man its too long...skimmed thru it. gud info but hardly understandable  but this is what we all shud read i think

In 1991, there was a lawsuit in Oklahoma concerning the hospital use of a microwave oven to warm blood needed in a transfusion. The case involved a hip surgery patient, Norma Levitt, who died from a simple blood transfusion.

It seems the nurse had warmed the blood in a microwave oven. This tragedy makes it very apparent that there's much more to "heating" with microwaves than we've been led to believe. Blood for transfusions is routinely warmed, but not in microwave ovens. In the case of Mrs. Levitt, the microwaving altered the blood and it killed her.

1). Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long te

rm - permanent - brain damage by "shorting out" electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].

2). The human body cannot metabolize [break down] the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.

3). Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.

4). The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual [long term, permanent] within the human body.

5). Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.

6). The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.

7). Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths [tumors]. This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.

8). The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood.

9). Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations.

10). Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.

i think this last part is a gud summary of the whole article telling us why microwaves r bad....shud've jus read the end tongue.gif

  4. first of all ..not an appropriate joke for sikhsangat forum...anyways...

i think some people just ask dumb questions cuz they dono anything abt sikhs and they dont even know how to ask so their questions sound stupid...but some are well informed here or atleast know who sikhs are...one time a parent of a student at high school said to me while i was working in office that my turban luks good and its kinda neat how i tied it...i was like  thanks...it cheered me up when i was feeling like :D ... also at uni i met a goree who's been to india so many times, knows hindi and a lil' bit punjabi knows alot abt sikhs...its kinda surprising at first to see a goree speaking punjabi. oh and she enjoys punjabi music...bhangra type...hahahah she asked me funny questions abt nihungs in amritsar. hahahahah

  5. here's something funny i came across...i think its starting to happen to me

    Age-Activated Attention Deficit Disorder

I just wanted to let you know that I have recently

    been diagnosed with AAADD -

    Age-Activated Attention

    Deficit Disorder

This is how it goes... tongue.gif

I decide to do the laundry, start down the hall and notice

the newspaper on the table. OK, I'm going to do the laundry...

    BUT FIRST

I'm going to read the newspaper. After that,

I notice the mail on the table.

OK, I'll just put the newspaper in the recycle stack...

    BUT FIRST

I'll look through the pile of mail and see if there are any bills to be paid.

Yes. Now where is the checkbook? Oops...there's the empty glass from

yesterday on the coffee table. I'm going to look for that checkbook...

    BUT FIRST

I need to put the glass in the sink. I head for the kitchen,

look out the window, notice my poor flowers need a drink of water,

I put the glass in the sink and there's the remote for the

TV on the kitchen counter. What's it doing here? I'll just put it away...

    BUT FIRST

I need to water those plants.

I head for the door and... Aaaagh! stepped on the cat.

Cat needs to be fed. Okay, I'll put the remote away and water the plants...

    BUT FIRST

I need to feed the cat.

    END OF DAY:

Laundry is not done, newspapers are still on the floor, glass is still in the sink,

bills are not paid, checkbook is still lost, and the cat ate the remote control...and,

when I try to figure out how come nothing got done today,

I'm baffled because... I KNOW I WAS BUSY ALL DAY!

I realize this condition is serious...I'd get help...

    BUT FIRST...

    I think I'll check my e-mail !!

  6. if you feel like wearing a pink polka dot kashera...GO RIGHT AHEAD!
lol...but ur absolutely right we should look at these gursikhs and try to follow their steps.
It is certain everyone has their own views, but my own personal views is that outside does not matter, the inside matters most. Do whatever you want outside, you can show your a amritdhari from outside, but inside you can be something whole lot different.

Another questions (sorry), so if it is white, white that = purity. Why dont we just wear only WHITE. White kachera, white keski, white clothes, white everything... wont it help us remind purity than. I have many relatives that are nanaksari and adopt this. Its just tradition coming down. But come on guys, why do we have to argue this. Think about inside guys, INSIDE. And yes ask panj pyaray i would recommend that too.

ofcourse a sikh is supposed to be pure inside out, and both are important. where guru sahib gave us His own saroop for the outside, He gave us gurbani and naam for the inside. we usually hear monays, or as they like to call themselves - sahajdharis..yah sounds nice , saying that only inside matters as guru sahib's not gonna

look at one's outside. But outside is as important as inside too. if you are in proper bana and everything you will remember that you are guru saroop and will hesitate to do anything that you shouldn't do. your outside keeps reminding you of guru sahib all the time and you are more likely to be pure on the inside too, or atleast thats what i think

oh and for kashera i wear offwhites. but all i know is Blue and Orange Kashera is a big NO NO. cuz these colors are for dastars/ siropas/ chunni and cholas only. also kesari is nishan sahib's color so we respect that and cant wear for kashera...common sense. rolleyes.gif

  7. sangat jio, instead of just looking at one pankti ( line) of a shabad, look at the whole shabad because one can not tell what the meaning of that line is, as every line in a shabad relates to the main idea or rahao (pause) lines. so by posting one line from here and there can't prove anything. also, sorry if i offended any one of you by posting that shabad.

Listening to Naarad's teachings, the child Dhroo was absorbed in deep meditation. ||1||

How can one who instructed a whole Hindu Nation into blindness teach a child Dhroo into meditation?

Again, please look at the moral or main idea of that shabad. also, narad does not have the same meaning in both shabads.

i m sorry if i offended anyone i do not want to start anything here. lets just close this chapter like rochak said. unlike some of us i do not have time or knowledge to write long posts to prove my point. all of us have different point of views, coming from different backgrounds. i respect every one of you. i can see that we will not gain anything from this discussion, as it will eventually turn into a hindu sikh competition, which i know no one wants to get into or not :umm: anyways, may waheguru bless us all with naam and piyar that got

Bhagat Dhanna Ji dharshan of Waheguru.

The Hindus have forgotten the Primal Lord; they are going the wrong way.

As Naarad instructed them, they are worshipping idols. They are blind and mute, the blindest of the blind.

The ignorant fools pick up stones and worship them.

But when those stones themselves sink, who will carry you across? ||2|| Page 556

maybe in future someday soon...please do ardas for this manmukh

May Waheguru Ji bless you with Amrit and Naam.

  9. if Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib can give up his life for these ppl, who the hell thinks they are allowed to look down upon them?!
first of all no one's lukin down upon hindus here i think ppl were talkin abt what's accepted in sikhism n what's not. and guru tegh bahadur sahib ji didn't give up his life for hindus He gave up his life against Julam showin non acceptence of whatever the mughal emperor was tryin to do.
if they believe that their mukti is gonna come from idol worship, let them do it. who knows? what if one of them ends up bein the next Dhanna Bhagat?

missin the point buddy, i think pakhandeebunga jus proved that no where in gurbani it says that bhagat dhanna ji did idol worship. it was his determination and love that got him darshan of waheguru. i say determination because when pundit left him the stone "thakur" and told him to make food and get bhog first and then eat it himself, he did not know that pundit just put it infront of the stone and then picked it up without doin anything, like thakur did bhog to his food that was it. bhagat dhanna ji believed that thakur himself really appeared and ate the food, so when he was given this job he wa

nted to make sure that thakur does bhog to the food first and only then he'd pick it up and eat it. so he was determined to get bhog and his innocence and determination got him darshan of waheguru ji.

now, the people who are already doing idol worship are foolish they do not see that murti puja can't get them mukti or whatever they want to get. if they really have love inside they dont need to do murti puja they'll realize that waheguru is inside them.

don't interfere in their path to the Almighty, cuz that'd be downright sinful.
gurbani clearly says that murti puja is not the right path to the Almighty. shouldn't sikhs be teaching others or tellin other ppl about the right path to waheguru?
    ROCHAK THE NIHUNG SINGH>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself didn't add "Singh" to his name untill He got Amrit from Panj Piyare. now unless Rochak Sharma got amrit from panj piyare, then i'd be wrong ( NO offense rochak)

why is everybody taking sides here, i dont understand. this is discussion forum ppl. and if someone has made gud posts in the past doesn't mean he knows everything we all learn and everybody is learning and thas why we are here, aren't we? look at the points someone is making and what sources he/she's backing it up with. obviously there's nothing above gurbani. so is ignoring someone's good points just cuz you dont know him and believing in whatever someone u kno says, i dont think thats

right. i said whatever i needed to. NO offense to anyone. B)
