KHALSA JI, it would be better that ANY other party whom supports PANTHIC programmes are selected / elected to manage Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall Gurdwara rather than the current "himmat sohi" or "sohi" group aka baaz group.

This group is totally anti panthic, as we have seen their ANTI PANTHIC activites at the Gurdwara Sahib both havelock road and park avenue, himmat sohi and his bandwagon have banned panthic programmes, banned coaches to hyde park in remembrance of june 1984, and a STOP to PANTHIC EVENT at the Gurdwara all together, after building a multimillion pound Gurdwara in under 2 years over £175,000 was spent on repairs!!!! what ever happened to guarantee's??? i thourght buildings like these were guaranteed for atleast 10 years!!!

That Sangats money over £175,000 could have been spent on Sikh youth or Panthic events but no SOHI hasnt given a PENNY not 1p towards a Panthic event!!!!

A murder investigation has begun after an 18-year-old man died following a gang attack.

The victim died in hospital on Monday after being assaulted by a group of up to 15 youths in Windmill Lane, Smethwick on Saturday.

Two men aged 17 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of wounding. The 17-year-old has been released on police bail, but the 20-year-old remains in custody.

West Midlands Police said the victim was kicked and punched by the gang.

The victim was with a friend when attack took place just before 2300 BST.

hello all

You may remember in april i spoke to you all about my brother who passed away in February. I have tried so hard to take on board the advice that was given, but seriously i can't do this, i feel as though i'm all alone!! I can't talk to my husband as he feels "i should let go and try and get over it" and he can't cope with me crying - can't talk to my parents because i don't want to keep bringing it up for them - the only person i could have spoken to is not even here. My older brother was everything to me, we were there for each other in good times and bad, and i just can't believe that for the worst time of my life he's not here to support me - not a day goes by when i don't wish that it was me rather than him. Everyday when i come to work, my heart sinks when i have to walk past the section of the hospital where he was - my heart beats so fast, sometimes i feel as though me feet just can't move and i can't walk. Everytime i drive and am stuck behind a lorry, i fail to understand how his car could've possibly gone under the lorry, especially with tthe crash bars on every lorry now - and again the question Why is alway on my mind.

I've not had a single day since February 14th where i've not cried for him - I WANT HIM BACK!!!!!!

I wanted to ask others that have better knowledge about sikhi than I do about apneh that convert.

The thing is my mates sister left home around 5-6 years ago cause she was supposedly 'in love'

with this muslim guy.My friend and his family tried reali hard to keep her away from him but one

morning when they woke up she was gone.

Well anyway, may mate always said that he was a onli child and lived his life with just him and his mom

his dad became shaheed in 84. So like he's the onli person in his household that takes responsibilty.

Well anyway, his sister turned up on ther doorstep a couple of months ago with a child. And she said that she wanted to come home because she found out that the muslim guy got paid to corvert and have a child.

He wanted to kick her out of the house and not allow her back in cause of all the pain that she put ther mom through. But me and one of my other mate convinced him to let her stay, cause no matter wat at the end of the day she's still his sister and she should look after her.

Well they all living very happily at the moment, with guru ji's kirpa.

But what reali confuses me is that he wont let her come back to sikhi, hes telling her to stay muslim. He says that if she can turn her back sikhi once then she can to it again. But my argument with him is that she wasnt in the correct frame of mind at the time and that she was brain wahsed.

So my question is, if something like this happens to one of our brothers or sisters is it wrong to accept them back into sikhi?

Firstly i think that she was wrong to convert cos no religion is better than another ! Secondly.... you can forgive a person who is blinded by love, as they only see and hear their partner and nobody else !

As for her child...... i think the only way she can honestly redeem herself is by bringing her child up as a Sikhi :wub:

I think that you should be allowed to marry any person regardless of their religion,colour or creed. At the end of the day if both the parties involved are happy and love eachother, then why shouldn't they be allowed to get married to eachother !

I totally agree with Khalsa4ever, we do all have a choice to whom we should marry, however i do think that its important that we help the older generations to move and change with the times in order to educate them on the changing climate.

what would you say to arrange marriage's now days. should they still carry on , or we should be able to choose our own partner by our own choice. should we change a bit with time or keep the restrictions as it was b4.
