  1. WJKK WJKF! Hi to all, there are many punjabi words which i don't know- but i would love for someone to write down the punjabi words for different family members, as some of my friends say them in a conversation but i hate asking them for reassurance about the meaning Many thanks, Khalsa123 :T:
  2. As a relgious SIkh do you need to know how to play the tabla and read punjabi? Khalsa123
  3. Thank you, thank you for your encouragement and advice i really appreciate it. I know theres a tough road ahead but hopefully Vaheguroo will allow me to initate into his khalsa. I will make steps to the Lord and he will make 1000 to me, i am slowly becoming a vegetarian but i can't make it too obvious yet that my beliefs are stronger than ever. Many thanks Khalsa123 WJJK WJKF :T:
  4. Hi again, sorry for all these questions, I try to meditate regularly and when i do so i cant seem to meditate properly. Can anyone help? Regards, Khalsa123 :T:
  5. Vaheguroo! Is it alright while in the Gurdwara to close my eyes and meditate on the name? Khalsa123
  6. YOur advice had been taken on board, thank you, i am so uspet and angry that my parents won't let me be what i want. I love my parents unconditionably but i love the guru too. They both mean the highest to me, after all aren't our parents our teachers? After i had an argument with them about converting or adapting to the sikh life i told some of my friends. They said that it was Vaaheguroo telling me not to be a sikh just yet. The hukamanam today told me to become a sikh and follow the path. This is what confused me, i have interpreted from both of these messages that vaaheguroo wants me to become sikh but just not yet. I know the hukamnama means different things to evreyone but i'm questioning whether if i do become a sikh will my parents and family accept me? I know only i can answer the question but i'd like your opinions please. Khalsa123 Everyone is so friendly, your all so great! Thank you for giving your time to answer my queries. WJKK WJKF
  7. Thnku, everyone is so nice, it is great. Thank you! I am currently studying but i want to devote time to Waheguru as well, equal amounts, sometimes this is hard, is this wrong? Khalsa123
  8. I used to wear a kara with my watch so it blended in, i h8ed this, i wanted to show my identity and feel prous, but my parents noticed it and i had to remove it immediately, i would love to grow my hair and wear the 5 k's but i again feel trapped. Khalsa123
  9. I'd like to thank both of you for your advice. I try my hardest to lead the sikhi life, like waking up at three to meditate and do the prayers but i recently this has become harder for me. I think my parents are slowly finding out what i do and i am worried of the consequexcnes, like im slowly becoming vegetarian, but im so scared of telling them why i made up an excuse, also i try to grow my hair and put off going to the hairdressers but suspicion is rising. Khalsa123
  10. WJKK WJKF! Hi again another post, another question - sorry! If i was to convert to Sikhism how would i cope, i'd be the only white sikh in my area, my friends said you'd ignore it, but i think it would be hard. You know how it is, people take the mickey out of you for a variety of reasons if you wear glasses, if your slightly larger, this is wrong! Please may someone help. Many thanks, Khalsa123 :TH:
  11. Many thnks Sikh solider for your comment. Ive read many Hukamnamas and i've interpreted the same message from most of them. It was telling me to worship the true guru, this is what i want to do, i would do anything to follow the path which i think is right for me. This is my personal opinion - christianity doesnt answer questions which Sikhism does. I have the problem of my parents not letting me. Can somebody give me some more advice please. Khalsa123 :TH:
