  1. i agree with rinku at least this event is in a Gurdwara, Nishkam sevak jatha dont even let ragis in or other jathabandis inside their gurdwara to do kirtan. i never even hrd of a kirtani going to soho road. it seems like nishkham think other kirtanis are not good enough to do kirtan in the gurdwara

I went to a wedding recently at soho rd and the speaker there was going on about how the jatha behaves and we should be showing the outsiders how the jatha behave, making it sound if u belong to the jatha u r normal and if ur not then u r outsiders i wasnt impressed

    Let the Jatha Bashing begin!

  2. if you need burgers or some sort of protein intake, no-one does it better that fry's. their range is fully vegan and available from holland and barret and they do sausages, burgers, hotdogs, schnitzels, steak strips, the works! they taste brilliant too!

holland and barret are normally good as you can also get chicken style pieces which i normally stick in pitta bread with salad for lunch, get burger mix for the occasional bbq, sausage rolls for a quick snack, and rochester ginger beer (non-alcoholic of course) to wash it all down. jus give them a visit, im sure they're nationwide.

if u r anywhere near birmingham, there is also a vegan shop in digbeth which is really good and also a health food shop on soho rd which is where u can buy the 10kg borria of burger mix for the smagams.

be careful in holland and barret and always check the ingredients coz sometimes they still contain egg and in some cases with there vitamin supplements, fish oil.

also some chinese supermarkets can come in handy when u want an oriental dish, you'll be able to grab mock duck, chicken and pork from most of these supermarkets, and when put in nice szechuan sauce, taste brill

    happy eating

  3. the necc is a lot bigger than many of the gurudwaray, u have the venue mixed up with nca which is the community centre next door to gnnsj. necc is down the road closer to hockley flyover, and i would say a lot more suited to housing the amount of people that will be attending.

the program is going to be amazing

sangat ji, i've recently been viewing this one video on sikhitube.com and i can't get enough of watching it. i have tried using plugins through mozilla but none of the ones i am using recognise the media files on sikhitube, they only work with google video and youtube. any ideas? heres the link to the video.

  5. i had the same problem when i was at school back in the 90's

as a frequent basketball player and a pupil in gcse p.e. we were always taking part in sports activities. though these activities werent full contact, in a western persons view, the kara can be seen as a hazard whilst engaging in these activities, similar to the way necklaces, bracelets and earrings/earstuds.

its simple, jus cover it! i used to get wristbands from sports shops, similar to the ones they wear in tennis, or even wrap it up with a bit of material. at least way, u r still wearing it, and its covered so that it is no possible hazard. that should soon shut ur teacher up, it did with mine.
