  2. I heard from one singh that they weren't allowed to do gatka

    while they were doing it in front of the stage

    the management guys were like yelling at them too stop and let them do speeches

    and then when they went to the rink thing

    the security guys came over and told them too stop and hes like

    u cant do gatka

  4. which group of singhs approached the committee? what did they say? and what was the result?

    Anyone..? Im sure this part is probably done before writing the article on it?

    the singhs who do agan bhett seva have approached the committee and are trying to get to the bottom of this situation

    the granthis who are responsible for doing saukasan will be punished as well as the kids

    and the comitee will be punished for doing so many parkash's and not having anyone there to take care of the saroop

    the agan bhett sevadars are singhs from taksal, akj, and those of no jatha

    we have decided to do the agan bhett seva on this sunday from 7 am to 11 am

  5. Reckless Incident leads to Beabdi of Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Saroop at Gurdwara Dixie

    Brampton, Ontario (KP) – Panthic Weekly has learned from trusted sources that an incident that took place yesterday at the Dixie Gurdwara Sahib has led to severe beadbi of a saroop of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Despite pressure from local Sangat, the committee members have decided to keep quiet on the matter and no official revelations have been so far.

    A sevadar based in Ontario during a phone call informed Panthic Weekly that around 11 PM on November 24, some ‘unidentified’ kids entered the Akhand Path Sahib room (Room #5) and lit the chaur sahib on fire with matches. The fire from the chaur sahib passed down the rumallas and then caught the saroop of Guru Granth Sahib. The saroop was left unattended and still in parkash form although it well late at night. It was also learned that reckless sevadars are often blamed for not doing sukhasan of Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s saroops at night time.

    It has not been revealed by the committee members for how long the fire kept burning but it has been learned that when sevadars reached the incident, binding and a major portion of the saroop was completely destroyed. The fire was so severe that it also destroyed the carpet underneath the palki. While this incident took place inside, Sangat in large numbers was present at the Gurdwara Sahib ‘enjoying’ the fireworks display that was going on outside on the day of Gurpurab.

    After reaching the spot, the saroop was secretly transferred and locked up in the Sukhasan room. Agan-bhet sevadars were called in the morning and asked to perform saskar of the saroop secretly. Dixie Gurdwara has special machines to cremate birdh saroops, pathis and gutkas. The whole service was performed furtively from the Sangat.

    The committee has been approached by local Singhs to reveal more information about the incident but it has decided to not share any information in public. Room #5 has at least three surveillance cameras installed but their footages have also been secreted from the Sangat.

    i do not think that raja ranjit singh and shaheed udham singh are sikhs because it is apparent in history that raja ranjit singh was not even close to what a sikh is. ranjit singh indulged himself in many acts which are against gurmat and he was even given tankha for this. Akali Phoola Singh jee had exiled him from the panth for sleeping with multiple women. and shaheed udam singh was also kicked out of the panth for being a atheist and aslo cutting his hair. yes in the few months before his hanging by meeting with bhai sahib bhai randhir singh jee he vowed to try and come back to the sikh fold and he was trying to become a sikh but neither can be called sikhs.

    in gurbani it clearly states that in order to call your self sikh you have to have amrit

    gur satgur ka jo sikh akhai so bhalke utth har nam dhiyavai

    udham karai bhalke parbhati isnaan karai amrit sar navai

    wat does it mean to amrit sar navai. it means to relive your amrit sanchaar every day. now if you have never taken amrit how would you relive that experience.

    Alot of people are using words like amritdhari vs sehejdhari but i doubt they realize the true meaning of these words.

    Just to clearify the meanings of the obove used terms

    Amritdhari = A person who has taken amrit

    sikh = someone who has taken amrit (AMRITDHARI)!!!!!!

    Gursikh = some one who is the sikh of my guru (AMRITDHARI)!!!!!

    Sehejdhari = a amritdhari who by the divine grace of satguru jee has reached the divine sehej state through amrit (AMRITDHARI)!!!!!

    Keshdhari = someone who is keeping there hair (non amrithdhari-non sikh)

    Monas and keshdharis = Patit, have nothing to do with sikhi and have no right to call themselves sikh!!!!!!!!

    END OF STORY

    These definitions are based on basic sikh rehat maryada and gurubani

    and think about where you fit in

    just because some people are insecure about your identity does not give you the right to bad mouth sikhs and lower the standard for your own purposes.

    people read gurbani and find out what it means to call oneself a sikh.
