This preacher at MileHi Church in Lakewood, Colorado gives her interpretation of when Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, gave hukam to his Sikhs to wear a dastaar. She says Guru Gobind Singh Ji did this so that the Sikh would stand out amongst thousands, and be recognisable as the figure to go to if you need any help, support, food, water or protection. Guru Gobind Singh Ji blessed the khalsa with his own image to represent righteousness in a world where humanity was losing it’s identity. We commend this preacher for raising awareness of Sikhs and the dastaar in America, where Sikhs are often victims of racial intolerance.
