Bobby Friction, for all his previous faults and comments he has made, should in this regard be commended. I for one applaud him for taking this watershed moment in UK bhangra. Love him or loath him, he is a BBC Asian Network DJ with a degree of influence. If other radio DJ's follow his example, this could indeed be the start of something.

"I now challenge all other Radio/DJ's who play Asian & Desi music accross the world...Stop playing music that glorifies the caste system".
"Bhangra, or the Bhangra scene will not die/fade out etc as some of you are saying...It will evolve".
"To those who think Caste is OK or not responsible for hate or segregation then I say read the newspapers from India & do some research.
To those who complain & say its gonna stop Bhangra being played I say you dont know Bhangra. 90% of Bhangra trax dont mention caste already"
"I completely 100% stand by what I say.x From 31st August 2012 I will not play any tracks that mention caste on the FRICTION show."
