  1. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I'm reasonably new to sikhi. I've started to grown my kesh and wear a dastaar less than a year ago. I can't read Gurmukhi, I can speak Punjabi relatively well, and I'm hoping to learn to read this year. I'm not amritdhari. I'm trying to get into the routine of Amrit Vela, and get up at 5am, I have a quick shower while doing simran, then read my gurbani. I'm reading gurbani English translation using the iPhone App GA - Gurbani Anywhere. I can read Japji Sahib in about 20-25 minutes. I listen to a recording at the same time and try to keep up. I takes me too long to do all 5 Bani, I cant keep up to a recording as its usually too fast. So at the moment I only do Japji Sahib and Naam Simran for 30 minutes. I'm trying to build upon my sikhi, step by step, and with waheguru's grace I will get there. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anyone been in the same situation that am in? Is it fine to listen to the 5 Bani and not read? Many thanks in advance. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
