These steps have caused uproar within the Sikh community who are strongly against such action. The Saroop is invaluable due to the significant history it represents. In recent years cremation of Old handwritten Gutkeh Sahibs, Pothian (Panj Granthi, Das Granthis), Saroops and historical texts have been cremated in high volume- 14 replies
