  1. Muslim boys have been bullying sikh /panjabi indian yotuhs for years.. its just know some of them are standing up to these Muslim gangs and refuse to be bullied. So someone stands up for himself i dont see how he can become a "jihadi". I have seen many Muslim youths beat up kids, girls/ old ladies on buses, they are not gonig to learn its only when someone stands up towards them then they think twice.

The idea of a blood bath seems abit far fetched to me honestly how many ppl would want to go and have a all out war ? I'm sure the majority are against that idea and are more for standing up for themshelves

  2. 77jas, you need to reread my post before making assumptions. I simply stated that monay deny the rehat. Neither it is insulting them nor degrading them. My post does not say they are inferior or anything. They are monay and not Sikh. Period.

You cannot state that "Monay deny the rehat" as a fact when you have no idea why someone chooses to follow Sikhism to a certain level. Just the fact that you are generalizing and stereotyping is insulting. Also you, or anyone for that matter, do not have the right to say whether or not someone is a Sikh that judgement can and should only be left to God. The only fact is that there is no way a person can be amrithari and monay other then that they can still be Sikh.

When will Sikhs stop putting up walls between moneh and people who keep kesh? Regardless of who created these divisions they need to be broguht down.

  3. So What Is Meditation?

    ======================

Meditation is a way to transform and heal ourselves. When we

meditate, we allow the swirl of ideas and thoughts to slow down

to the point where we find a calm and positive connection with

ourselves. Although there are many different ways to meditate,

all styles teach the directing of the attention in order to

re-connect with the part of yourself that is most real and most

    true.

    Why We Need To Meditate

    =======================

Unfortunately, we do not walk through the world as children do.

We all face difficult and stressful situations throughout the

course of life. But rather than beginning each day afresh, we

tend to gather the world and carry the negativity of the past

with us. The happy and contented person you were becomes covered

over by these emotions. Suddenly you feel unhappy and

dissatisfied, and even worse; often the process is so subtle, you

    don't know why.

Meditation is a way of cutting through those layers of past

emotion and excessive thinking. Instead of our minds and bodies

being at the mercy of life, we take back control. We focus the

attention in a deliberate way, and slowly see the false layers of

ourselves begin to dissolve as we return once again to the source

    of our happiness.

Although meditation is an ancient art dating back thousands of

years, modern scientific research now confirms what ancient

wisdom discovered long ago. Study after study shows that

meditation brings about improved perception, focus, memory and

creativity. Regular meditators are healthier, happier, more

    relaxed, and more productive.

    The True Purpose of Meditation

    ==============================

The seductive appeal of mystic visions, psychic intuition and

heightened mental functioning can be very alluring. While some

meditators report esoteric experiences, the experiences

themselves should not be the primary reason for practice.

The purpose of meditation is to transform the state of our hearts

and minds and bring us back to ourselves. As we become

healthier, happier and realize greater self-awareness, more

benefits begin to follow naturally -- improved mental

functioning, greater intuition as well as greater access to

    unconscious resources and abilities.

    Make Meditation A Daily Practice

    ================================

You can be stronger in your self. You can be happier, more

balanced and compassionate. You can manifest the changes you

truly want to see in your life through meditation. You don't

need to give up all your worldly passions or retreat to a

    Himalayan monastery either!

A daily ten-minute practice can make all the difference. It's

not much time to dedicate when you consider all the time spent

caring for your physical appearance. After all, you wouldn't go

out to an important meeting or social occasion without clean

    clothes and brushing your teeth.

What about the mind and body -- the instruments through which we

perceive and interact with reality? Does it not make sense to

take the time to clean up our attitude and the way we feel as

    well?

  4. I'm not trying to make capital of this situation but I pray it will open up some very ignorant amritdhari brother's eyes. Usually they claim that the girls who convert are "Punjabi" and from sharabi kebabi backgrounds.

I hope this opens up your eyes to make you see that this is a major over simplification of the issue and shirking of the truth.

I agree with you their my brother, we have been ignorant , Its a shame that even a amritdhari bibi can give up her sikh faith... but at the same time it does seem abit fishy to me

  5. Just some infomation on the colour red.

Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.

Red is a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. It has very high visibility, which is why stop signs, stoplights, and fire equipment are usually painted red. In heraldry, red is used to indicate courage. It is a color found in many national flags.

Red brings text and images to the foreground. Use it as an accent color to stimulate people to make quick decisions; it is a perfect color for 'Buy Now' or 'Click Here' buttons on Internet banners and websites. In advertising, red is often used to evoke erotic feelings (red lips, red nails, red-light districts, 'Lady in Red', etc). Red is widely used to indicate danger (high voltage signs, traffic lights). This color is also commonly associated with energy, so you can use it when promoting energy drinks, games, cars, items related to sports and high physical activity.

  6. All mystics of history who claimed intimate knowledge and experience of God had one method in common, that is, meditation. Stripped of philosphical pretence, meditation is a mental activity characterized by phyical relaxation and norrowed perceptions. Meditation is controlled attention or effortless concentration. Modern urban life has been described as a complicated system of keeping ourselves both busy and nervous. " Keeping busy is considered to be the bodern virtue and mediation is the opposite of keeping busy.

If you wish to be more "spritual" that is to experience subjectively the ideals you belive in, you must cultivate the art of some form of meditation, for it is this, which results in spritual growth and improvment.

    Question i ask

Does "naam" have to be given or is it a birth right we are all born with it ?

  7. For many of us, there seem to be no good reasons to change our ways of life. We are satisfied that we are living on the lines of the great majority of us. We are after health, wealth, sex and power. We are buoyant in fair weather and depressed and despondent in adversity. We go through life like a boat without sail downstream. We could not escape birth, we do not know why we are born. We have no choice but to live and drift. When great men make their appearance in our midst from time to time and by their precept, demostrate to us the supremacy of the spirit, we applaud them, admire them, glorify them, mostly because we are, at least we think we are, incapable of rising to their heights.

We have a great teacher in life: Enquiry. All progress, all learning is the result of enquiry. The more earnest the enquiry, the deeper the insight we gain. The more we ponder over things, the firmer become our convictions. If newton had not enquired why the apple fell to the ground, how poor the world would have been. No doubt some other Newton could have made the discovery but only after asking the same question.

Enquiry is necessary not only in the realm of knowledge of phyical sciences. It is an absolute must in day to day life if we are to gain an insight into the science of living.

Are we quite aware that we are banking too much on the reliabilty of our senses, mind and interllect in assessing the worth of wordly objects? Although we know vaguely that our senses like sight, touch and smell are liable to play us false, we continue to be guided entirely by them in deciding on any course of action. We are just content to receive infomation and knowledge second hand even where we should excersise independent judgement and thought. Why? Because we are busy living our little lives and there is less room for enquiry and reasoning.

  8. Sikhs have started to live in fear, not from other gangs as such but from bad media and constant crisising. As for this Muslim phobia i find it ahrd to belive that Sikh girls have stooped so low. But then again we are in kalyug and anything can happen.

Looks to my that this gurdwara supports Sex Drugs and Rock & Roll and drastic action should be taken.
