  1. That gives me an idea....

If we could get everyone in Punjab to eat nothing but rajma chawal for one whole week, we could cover Delhi in flatulence. Take that Sheila Dikshit.

Sorry for crude humor, but I can't take anything that lady says seriously.

I mean, just look at what her last name is. Dikshit.

    LOL!!!

  2. he allowed the demolision of the ramgharia bunga at nanded and countless homes of hazoori sikhs.

That has nothing to do with the Jathedar. His control is over the Takhat, nothing else. If you want to meet a Bhramgyani in this day and age, go and meet Jathedar Kulwant Singh Ji.

Sigher, afaik, original bana was like that - it's actually a single piece of cloth held in place with a kamrkassa. During difficult times, there was no time to stitch sleeves etc or get choley made so I think it's remained a tradtition for the pujari to wear it when doing sewa in the sachkhand room.

what evidence do you have to make such a big statement that he is a"brahmgiani"?

just because you are born into a doctors family, it doesnt make u a doctor. You have to do kamaee to earn your status, just because Jathedar sahib does seva in anguita sahib, it doesnt automatically make him a brahmgiani. He has to do kamaee to reach that status just like any one of us!

please dont use the word Brahmgiani so lightly, there are a lot of mahapursh who did a lot of kamaee and finally reached that stage. Jathedar Sahib was studying (BA) after which committee members gave the role of Jathedar, he has to do his kamaee just like anyone else in this world.

of course we all respect him because vaheguru has given him such a high seva, which indicates that he has done some very good karam in previous life. No matter what he is Takhat sachkhands Jathedar, and we hold the utmost respect for him, and his seva is very very great.

What is the bana Jatehdar Baba Kulwant Singh Ji wears sometimes. It looks like a sadhu bana. He only wears it when doing Shaster seva. What is the significane of this? Why must he wear this?

    wjkk wjkf

the bana is called a "gati", it is a piece of material like saree material which i sworn over kacha and banain, it is tyar bar tyar bana and its easy to fight in as it is well and securely wrapped, also it is puratan maryada and all jathedars wore the same.

The train leaves mumbai at just past 6 in the morning and gets to hazur sahib at just before 6 in the evening. Any idea how to book accomodation for the 300 saal? also does anyone know know where the train leaves from? is it the airport or a station? :gg: Also ive tried looking for details of flights but no luck, anyone got firsthand experience of travelling to nanded from mumbai? thanks

there ar two trains to one called devgiri express and one called nandigram, both leave in evening, check out this website http://www.southernrailway.org/ train leaves from railway station called Dadra.

for 300 saal accomodation email dp singh Chawladpsingh@gmail.com the superintendent of sachkhand (NRI rooms are in process for completion)

the airport is not yet ready at Nanded, they are hoping to get it started in few weeks (however was supposed to be done Aug 15th) even so after that limited flights are going to nbe coming in and during 300 saal private planes will be coming in, full details are yet to be announced.

  8. Hi, I don't have school all this summer so decided to work. I got accepted as a CSA w/ an airline but later when i gave them my resume they promoted me to be the Sr. Flight Editor & Floater and Incharge of Departing Flights at Newark Liberty Intl. Airport. It requires me to work beyond the customs sterile area and my office is also in the sterile area. I am an amritdhari sikh so i have to take off my kirpan before i go to my office. Do you guys think i should keep going as i am right now or try to talk with the Customs Sr. Security Coordinator to give me "Armed" status on my ID card?? Please reply soon.. Thanks!!

my advice is dont worry about it, we all have to go thru these customs when we board planes, guru ji knows ur majboori and i am sure he understands. I know it isnt easy to find another job.

    guru kirpa kare

dont worry, it happens to a lot of people, just keep doing paath and maharaj will do the rest. The biggest step is sitting down to do paath in the first place. Some peopls say we dont dp paath becoz our "man nehi tekhda" but it works the other way round, you have to do paath so that "man tekh jaave". And yes i def agree to do ardaas benti to maharaj before you start and he will take of it all :umm:

  12. i say she should rockon.gif her discourses are quite good actually even tho i've heard only 1 so far.

i wonder where the notion that only "sikhs" can get gyaan from guru sahib came from? grin.gif i got one word to describe such people FANATICS rolleyes.gif

i heard loads of her discourses and she is nirvair in everything she says, she respects sikhi and also does kirtan, and then does viyakhya

at least she aint disrespectin sikhi like at lot of people are doing these days. Listen to her first and then decide.

i quite like her, one day she was singing a shabad and she broke out into tears, she was in so much bairaag, she sings with so much love :umm:
