Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

    The poster link, http://akj.org/skins/one/posters/ny-aug09.pdf !

  3. A very simple answer- it is alteration of your body. Tattooing involves puncturing the skin and then colors are injected.

Again it is a personal decision but for me it would be a big NOOOOO :D .

    Vahegurooo Jeee!

Getting a tattoo in my minid is the same as cutting your hair!

You are alternating your body image and turning into something which is pleasing to your mind or someone elses mind. When we do things to please only our mind this is what we call MANMAT!

Even more so nowadays that you must shave the skin in prep for tattooing should be a further sign telling us not to ink ourselves up lol.

This body is a gift of Guru Sahib Jee, we have no RIGHT at all to change it in anyway at all. We must take care of it as a gift and know that in the end we must leave it.

As faar as the Singhni is concerned, I hope she goes to the Panj Piaray for peshi and tell them of this. i know for a fact that a Singh in Toronto went through this and was told by the Panj that he should not brandish it and what is done is done but never be proud and show it off to other people. He was not asked to remove it because futher kes is mutilated in the lasering process.

But the bottom line is we should talk to this daughter of Guru Sahib jee and have her know what is the protocol.

Bibis who do wear keski should hold themselves to a higher regard. Not in an egotisitcal way in not talking to bibis who do not wear dastaars but in a humble way knowing that they portray the image of mata sahib kaur jee and mata gujar kaur jee!

Vaheguroo sanu saaareeyaaa nu SUMAAT bakshoo jeeeeee.

    Bhul Chuka Da maaf

    Fateh jeeeeeeeo

  4. Dear Sister,

Everyone makes a mistake. There is a proverb saying, "Every Saint has a past, and every sinner has a future". Make your life better by now going to Sangat and changing your entire friends circle. Our Guru tells us to only seek the company of those who do Naam Bhagti, Simran, Kirtan, Katha, and Seva. All the fun in life comes through them, guru Sahib jee tells us that any other thing is all fake and maya driven. There are limitless Gurbani lines telling us of this.

Please take this to heart. First of all if you are serous about your Sikhi go to the Panj Pyarai @ the next Amrit Sanchar and get peshed. Give yourself to your Guru all over again!

Second CHANGE YOUR SANGAT. Gursikh Sangat would not let you go to someplace where there is drinking. Guru Sahib Jee through the gift of Sangat saves you from this.

We have our local programs here in Queens, if you seek help and wish to come in contact with Bibis here who do Keertan, and are Gursikh Amritdharis let me know.

  6. I don't think I have ever used any Oil on my Dari. My sister bought this Garnier "Leave in" Conditioning cream and I put that on with a brush. It makes my dari nice and soft and makes it smell really nice too. I would HIGHLY suggest it and its not like gel or hairspray because you don't even feel like you have it on you. TRUST, its a nice product!

Thanks for the advice...what kind of Cream do you use...there are different types (ie.- curls and shine)

The one I use is called Sleek and Shine. Its awesome!
