  1. Sorry for the long delay! Yeah the recordings will be uploaded soon (we're just going through some technical problems atm..converting etc)

The Croydon Rehansbhai recordings will be up very soon too.

    Apologies...

Sikhroots can u confirm if you got the whole of smethic rainsabi recorded please? how long roughly do you think it will take? :gg:

  2. wahegurusign.gif Saturday nite was awesome. Felt really buzzing after the Kirtan and happy to see so many Guru ke singh and Sangat.

I was slightly annoyed to see some young Singhs sitting bit in front of me ((don't know who they were)) laughing, talking, fidgeting and smirking during the Kirtan!!

Could be that they were talking amongst themselves and generally laughing but it doesn't look good whilst sitting in the Guru Mahraj's Darbar and other Sangat members may think they were laughing at the Keertan being sung and Naam Simran.

I felt bad because I was embarrased to say anything to them. So that's my fault! Nothing wrong with talking with friends, sharing a joke and having a laugh but it should be done outside without disturbing surtee of Sangat.

Despite the group of lads fidgeting and smirking at one another, I felt blessed to have been able to attend the programme.

    Thanks

I also notice this, it seems the singhs were laughing at the simran being done.

Was a group of about 5 little youngers all in bana laughing a way. A big shame i dont think they were bothered about the surti of the sangath whilst others wanted to concentrate on gurbani, they need to be approached next time or if they are reading to think twice of there action when in guru ji's darbar.

They did namsakar to guru granth sahib by walking around sri guru granth sahib and showed full respect but then wasted there time laughing away and walking in and out of the diwan, all seems to be for show.

  3. I want to know what have you done about it? have you approach the couple on stage? why are you letting this happen if you know about it and if your older enough.

Seem people of your age are quick to point the finiger at others.

Removal of hair we need to support our sisters and give them the courage to continue in there rehit.

Again with B/F and G/F thing if you see this happening talk to a gursikh who knows them or approach them with pyar.

Sikhi is still growing stronger as it was then singh ji but people like you want something to say and want to be looked up to but just full of nindiya and hunkar i think.

Why not give soultion on how you would like to improve things lol

  4. Ok i think we are geting abit off the topic now, but I know akhara in london that charge hundreds of pounds to do a display and for venues to learn and mini busses etc this should not be the case in todays society as this is a seva to, what is going on with the money being saved in the account??

When doing seva this can also turn into a big hunkar but we should all try to share our knowledge and not put others down.

  5. Like verji has put it if you both have the same motive why not work together and share the knowledge of the vidiya, from what I see the southall akhara has got much smallier so this would be a great uplift.

orono we should not look at the past and look forward now the akhara should welcome others

  6. Ek Onkar Satnam

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

The closest place to Southall that the Khalsa Panth Akhara teaches is Hitchin, the Khalsa Panth Akhara is getting many requests to start Gatka Akharas around the UK and specifically Southall so please keep an eye on www.khalsapanth.co.uk.

Manchester and Hitchin Akhara are setup and running regular classes.

    Gurfateh Ji

Vaheguru jee kaa khalsa Vaheguru jee kee fateh

Sangath jee its great to see so many akharea and i hope this has help the person who orginally started this post but why not get together and help each other, like surely having one akhara in southall then another one in the same area is much because martial arts can be learnt and tought by one another.

Just yesterday I was speaking to a singh in manchester who had just got back from gatka class that had been started up by khalsa panth akhara which is really good to see.

Just a small request i thought id make if i have offended anyone i am really sorry.

Vaheguru jee kaa khalsa Vaheguru jee kee fateh

Very good point made by verji, but verji i think people just want to only help there own banner of akhara name which is a shame to see.

  7. Just another way of recruiting memebers.

If sant ji was here he would not want this as gursikhs like to stay away from getting hunkar.

A good move to add in the musuem but also a time to stay as one and live a jeevan of sant sipahiee.

Can I ask what if sant ji did not come back? Or someone pretended to be him? As i would not put it pass the gov of india

  8. Day by day reading threads on SS on sants i feels the amount of ustast being done is haridous.

We should not forget our guru mahraj sri guru granth sahib jee and try to always relate back to shabad guru , even if we are writting topics about sants that are now no longer with us yes i agree it is inspiring to read on their jeevan but we should try put this into practise ourselves and not keep living under there name and should try 2 concentrating on our jeevans and help the ones around us.

If i have offened anyone i apologies this is not my attention but just expressing my views, may we all live by hukum of shabad guru

  9. what if your in ur 30s n still havent met anyone?

I'm 21 so I cannot comment on this....but the original post wants sikhsangat to offer dating stuff which I don't agree with. There are actually sites about which do this already such as sikhfaces.com and then I think sikhnet has a matrimonial section and so do alot of the asian newspapers like des Pardes. These things however are secondary cos who would want to meet a complete stranger?

My own person opinion is that its best to meet someone in your day to day life. So basically its up to you to help out in the gurdwara, go youth kirtan programmes etc, but go to these events cos u wanna be there not to look for love. I really do believe you should not go in search of it cos if you search for it you try to become someone you are not and in the longterm this is bad. If it finds you then it will last.

I did not say to make this in to a match making site and just asked for some surgestions to help as it is a problem we are facing but keeps getting ignored.

  10. I know of many gursikhs and sikhs that what to progress in sikhi but when it comes for the time to settle down people are pushed away as they do not know the way to deal with it, its easy to say sit back and wait but alot of my brother and sisters are in stress over this as they are getting on and getting preasured by families.

Youth today being so judgementle does not help the matter is another reason no would like to approach one to get to know them.

I would like to request admin to help in this in someway have our first ever sikhsangat wedding lol

    Please share your views.

  11. I agree nower days it is so hard to get married, its easy to say sit back and wait for the right time.

In todays age no1 wants to be a parchola or porcholiee because of the amount of kuljug around.

You can sign up 2 forums and ask baba and auntiea but i think youngester want to know the person first and get along with them, how can u explain that to the older lot?

Sikhsangat should open somthing like this that helps one have a link and get to know one another.

Bhai Manjit Singh was wicked too. shame some people left from the front when he came on

Yeh i know what you mean ... a real shame ...

Apparently some people from the back, the middle, the left, the right and even the middle got up and left when different kirtani's changed too!!! Shocking isn't it!

    :)

Why were u watching other people this is no big deal, people might had 2 go or were hungry or had to go to the toilet come on guys dont cause problems for no reason.

Programe went well, and all jatha made an effort, seeing bhai manjeet singh and bhai gursharan singh goes to show there was no problems sitting with one another, if some individuals did have a problems that is there little mindness thinking we can not change that
