  1. A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.

  2. meenaa aar masa(n)dheeaa monaa kurree jo maar hoe sikh varathan karehi a(n)th karaegaa khuaar ||6||

Meenaas, Masandhs, those with haircuts and those who kill their daughters; If a Sikh associates with them, he will not be united with the Lord and will suffer at the time of death..

I just read this on sikhi to the max i dont exactly agree with the cut hair part. Can someone explain this quote from Bhai Nand Laal i think. Is the meaning of cut hairs to something else?

  3. I remember in infant and junior schools we all used to get along no matter what religion we were from, played football, cricket etc... but soon as high school progressed the same friends turned enemies just because of one anothers colour or religion.

Instead of playing with footballs, we began to play with our fists.

    Like the saying goes

    "Good friends Better Enemies"

  4. The direct tactic of war is necessary only on the battlefield, but only the indirect tactican lead to a real and lasting victory.

Subvert anything of value in the enemy’s country. Implicate the emissaries of the majorpowers in criminal undertakings; undermine their position and destroy their reputations in otherways as well; and expose them to the public ridicule of the their fellow citizens.Do not shun the aid of even the lowest and most despicable people. Disrupt the work of their government with every means you can.

Spread disunity and dispute among the citizens of the enemy’s country. Turn the young against the old. Use every means to destroy their arms, their supplies, and discipline of the enemy’s forces."

Debase old traditions and accepted gods. Be generous with promises and rewards to

purchase intelligence and accomplices. Send out your secret agents in all directions. Do notskimp with money or with promises, for they yield a high return.

Another thing that must be said is why cant we just all get along? Why cant we accept our indivdual views? When i say this i am reffering to "jathas" It seems to me we like to pick up tiny differences and blow them up and cause arguments and name calling.

Do Sikhs even love each other anymore?

The Nihangs, AKJs, Taksaal and various others all seem to hate each other, They cant sit in the same room as each other without pulling out their Kipans,

  5. kabeer saakath sa(n)g n keejeeai dhoorehi jaaeeai bhaag || baasan kaaroeeai tho kashh laagai dhaag ||131||

Kabeer, do not associate with the faithless cynics; run far away from them. If you touch a vessel stained with soot, some of the soot will stick to you. ||131||.

maerae mohan sravanee eih n sunaaeae || saakath geeth naadh dhhun gaavath bolath bol ajaaeae ||1|| rehaao ||

O my fascinating Lord, may I never listen to the faithless cynic, singing his songs and tunes, and chanting his useless words. ||1||Pause||

These two tuks come to my mind.

Like all great bad habits, clubbing is expensive. Sometimes extraordinarily so. Especially for those of us cursed with a Y chromosome. To begin with, the entry-fee is insanely high. Then, once you get in, which is oftentimes an annoyingly long process, you have to pay out the <admin-profanity filter activated> for drinks. The concept of clubs brings pre-gaming to an entirely new level.

"But clubbing's funnnnnnnnnnnn..." you yell at me. And "yell" is the operative word here. In clubs, one does not speak. You do not whisper. You yell. Now, seeing as how extended yelling is uncomfortable, this effectively takes any hope of conversation out of the picture.

If you feel you must go clubbing then fine go, But please dont use the excuse your trying to spread Sikhi when you go, that just sounds lame. People in clubs want to dance about and have "fun" you really think they want you to spoil that and talk about the religions of the world?

Another thing what about your amritvela? you rather be dancing lsitening to music in a club rather than you simran, bani? Theirs people out there that try their very best and do ardas everyday to be blessed with waking up at amritvela, while on the other hand you have "amritdharis" that like to spend theirs clubbing?

When i used to go clubbing before i was into Sikhi i used to see Singhs in a club and laugh thinking what the hell are they doing here. Used to remind me of bollywood films were they have a sardar doing some funny dance and making fool out of himself with his turban half falling off. I have friends that go clubbing and even they come and tell me how stupid it looks when a Singh is in a club.

  6. this is good stuff but I hope that aswell as tackling 'soldier' issues, which is definitetly needed, they will be encouraging the proper Gursikhi way of life, taking amrit and developing a true love for Vaheguroo at the same time, not only should they be getting Sikhs to understand these problems but also on their spirtual side of life which is just as important.

There are way too many wannabes walking about thinking they know about Sikhi but probably havent even done one Jap Ji Sahib paath in their lives, shouting "khalistan zindabad" and "I'm a sikh soulja brap" lol.

But good albums, just dont forget theres two sides to sikhi. Good luck with producing more :TH:

i agree i think the albums are a start thoguh but on i think their flow could be abit better

  7. He is a hero for some and atwaddi for some, a similar case to that of .......

    who?

I think his refering to Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale. On one side you got a man trying to convert or kill the whole world and promising his people 72 virgins in heaven for their "martrydom" and on the other you got a man seeking justice for his people and promoting dharma. A real hero is not some one that sends his people to battle. A real hero is someone that leads his people into battle

  8. I think we should all make efforts to get along and respect each others views :D after all the freedom of thought is a sacred right of every individual man, and diversity will continue to increase with the progress, refinement, and differentiation of the human intellect.

  9. Chatanga that seems like a good idea but would it work?

I mean different jathas cant even get along with each other nevermind preaching to others about peace and love. When we ourshelves pull out our Kirpans on each other.

I think first we need to increase the english parchar within our own Gurdwara on Sundays when sangat is usualy at its high. Maybe having a seprate hall where youth can come and discuss topics and issues aswel as learn.

But the thing with donig parchar like you said everybody is lazy we all seem to have a fasination with being GUPT :D

As for the lazy boys think of something to make them un-lazy lol

  10. Darśana (Darshan) is a Sanskirti term meaning "sight" (in the sense of an instance of seeing or beholding; from a root dṛś "to see"), vision, apparition, or glimpse. It is most commonly used for "visions of the divine," i.e. of a god or a very holy person or artifact

    Sanskirti

  11. Just because she is not amritdhari = Whatever she says is false

If some "Amritdhari" did the exact same katha you all would be jumping for joy and screaming Alleluia

If someone is telling you that such and such car is great, its the best car there is, but they dont have one themselves, would you or would you not find it absurd?

No i get that all the time :D
