    pls elaborate on him being the last 'gurdev' ???

    him being the last gurdev means, he is the only teacher LEFT who teaches Shastarvidiya, there were many akharas during the 16th-18th century and the akara which niddar is gurdev of is called ''Baba Darbara Singh Runjeet Shastar Vidiya Akhara''which was established in 1661, the teacher linage is as followed :

    1.Akali Nihang Baba Darbara Singh (who also learned from Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh Ji)

    2. Akali Nihang Baba Budh Singh Ji

    3. Akali Nihang Baba Sukha Singh Ji

    4. Akali Nihang Baba Lakha Singh Ji

    5. Akali Nihang Baba Sawan Singh 'Bangroo'

    6. Akali Nihang Baba Mangal Singh Ji

    7. Akali Nihang Baba Giana Singh aka 'Rabb Ji'

    8. Akali Nihang Baba Mohinder Singh Ji aka 'Katapa Singh'

    9. Nihang Niddar Singh Ji (present 'Gurdev')

    so as you can see from this, niddar singh is the 9th teacher of the akhara and he is the only person who FULLY knows shatsarvidiya.

    many people say this nihang baba knows the vidiya etc that may be true as there are some nihangs who do know SOME bits of the vidiya but no one knows the full martial art but there may be a possibility there is a nihang in india who knows the vidiya but hasnt told anyone and has kept it gupt like it is meant to be.

    i think ur refering to when dasmesh pita jee was composing akaal ustat jeeo...

    In the Akal Ustat, at the end of the verse of Tuv Prasadh, Laghu Naraj Chhand, paudhi 69, it ends with:

    Tuhi Tuhi, Tuhi Tuhi, Tuhi Tuhi, Tuhi Tuhi.

    Tuhi Tuhi, Tuhi Tuhi, Tuhi Tuhi, Tuhi Tuhi.

    It is said that on the banks of the river Sutlej while Guru Gobind Singh Ji was composing the Akal Ustat he went into a deep trance state (smadhi) and so deeply emersed was he in Akal Purkhs glory that we continued to say 'Tuhi Tuhi, Tuhi Tuhi......' for hours. It is a tribute to the Sikh scribes who were writing down the bani as Guru Ji was composing it that they filled pages upon pages upon pages of 'Tuhi Tuhi..' When Guru Ji opened his eyes he decided in his wisdom only to use two lines of this so as to keep within the poetic structure of the composition.

    giyanee thakur singh jee talks of this in his katha, if i find the audio, will post it jee.

    daas once heard a singh say at an amrit sanchaar (when they were telling the rehit)....

    tht...how amazing was dhan dhan guroo gobind singh jee maharaj?

    u think about it...if someone, 4 example is a wikd singer, the best of the best, would they teach their skill to others? no, in this world if someone has any good qualities, we usually keep them 2 ourselves, why would we want someone else to take our numba 1 spot???

    but Dhan Dhan Dhan kalgidhar pita sree guroo gobind singh jee mahaaraj, so astoundingly beautiful in his baana in his datstaar, gave it to his sikhs, said tusee vee dastar sajao, tusi vee bana pao, khande bate de phaul chakko, rehit rakho....dhan vaheguroo jee! Our beloved pita jee gave us his own dress, mde us unique, made us his kids!! vaheguroo jee kirpa kare may people feel the thrist to look like the children nd keep the rehit of dhan dhan damesh pita sree guroo gobind singh jee maharaj!!
