    Totally shocking.

    When he was jathedar of akal takhat he fell ill. He was admitted to a nursing home

    at Amritsar. He told the doctor in the evening that he cann't live without whisky as it

    his habit.

    Doctor knew a senior functionary of SGPC and he was informed about this rogue jathedar.

    Most probably these revealations will come in a book being written on him.

    His name also appears in Open secrets written by one indian intelligence officer MK Dhar and he also appears as a greedy character in Punjab police cchief Ribeiro's book " Bullet for Bullet" Rebiero writes that he was asking for free revolver form SSP of patiala.

  2. Can someone anser this question - When Guru Gobind Singh Ji complied Sri Guru Granth Sahib, why did he not include Dasam Granth Bani in there?

    That Guru sahib knows best. It does not diminish his writings status whether these are contained in SGGS ji or not.

    In theory we have two granths but have one in practice. The system has been wronged by some when they drafted sikh rehat maryada.

    Its price we are paying now.

    All takhatas have parkash of weapons at central podium. Parkash of SGGS ji on the side

    Akal takhat is no exception.

    Akal takhat had parkash of Dasam Granth till 1944. In my view we are paying the price of removing its parkash by some senseless people.

    I am narrating before you my first hand interaction with Ragi D Singh, this incident dates back about one and a half year back, when Ragi was in chandigarh to do kirtan at Ramgarhia Bhawan sector 27 Chandigarh, and he sang the shabad about dujee bhav meaning those who abandon the path shown by the Guru and tread the second path face the obstacles etc, after the kirtan one of my friends asked him to spare time for interaction, Ragi told that he was going to the house of Rajinder Singh of Khalsa Panchayat and that he should come to that place for interaction , though I was inclined to be face to face with Ragi but on the insistence of my friend I went along with him to the residence of Khalsa Panchayat president , by the time we reached that place Ragi was having dinner with his friends at that place and his plate was full of goat meat , we sat apart and waited for Ragi to finish his meals , he joined us and soon all his companions also came and sat with us, my friend asked Ragi ji to explain the meaning of Duja Bhav but Ragi being crafty enough inquired from my friend the basis of his question , in what context was the question being asked but my friend was feeling shy to tell him the reason for asking this question and both of them spent some time in this interaction with out any progress ultimately to get past the deadlock I intervened and told Ragi ji that my friend did not have the courage to offend you ,the basis of his reasoning is to ask from you whether the stones worn by you in your fingers come in the Guru Ka Bhaw or Duja Bhaw ,to this their was commotion in the room and all his well-wishers in the room were shell shocked after some time the Ragi replied that these stones were worn by him to cure his diseases , again there was chaos in the room with my fried inquiring which doctor advised him this cure ,I sarcastically asked Ragi whether these stone were got known to him through the parrot or he went to some panda to get his teewa made , Ragi was also loosing his cool by now and he said that even Guru Gobind Singh ji wore Jewelry ,to this I asked Ragi that while he was the Jathedar at Siri Akal Takhat Sahib can he recount the number of innocent villagers whom he asked to remove their worldly Jewelry and put the Kakars prescribed the Guru and can he give them a message that Sikhs can adorn any kind of ornaments , there was melee all around his supporter asked us not to let this episode go into the press we also asked them that hurting Ragi is not our aim but they should ensure that Ragi removes all these stones, to which they assured us ,and this is the first time I am disclosing this incident to let the Sikh masses judge who is who in Sikh affairs

    The above is a lie. Sant Bhindrewale was not released because Gajinder hijacked a plane. Sant bhindrewale was released due to lack of evidence aginst him and mounting pressure from sikhs.

    You people living in UK or any where outside Punjab have no right to comment on ANY Sikh jathebandi in Punjab .

    Each and Every jathebandi in Punjab has resolved to work for Panthic unity including the ones you are calling Dasam Granthia's or anti Dasam Granthia's or whatever.

    These are not apnthic jathebandis.

    When killing Skhs in 1984 they didnt ask to which jatha you belong or what your caste was or whether you belong to some missionary team or anything..They just killed you because you were SIKHS..Remember they even killed so called "Mona Sikhs" as they had list of Sikh homes with them..So next time when they do so they will not ask what type of Sikh you are ..So Sikhs please unite now leaving aside your affliations..Remember this time the assault will be even more dangerous and we can not face it till we are totally united .....

    There was no missionary involved in 1984 sacrificing for sikh struggle. They are heretics dokhis of sikhs.

  6. It is well known that this was Gurudwara that was supporting heretic ragi Drashan singh.They had even called heretic Ragi in Aug 2009 and he did a lot of bukwas against Dasam granth.

    President of gurudwara and few of his goonda mates were supporting Ragi agianst akal takhat. Singhs have blasted these heretics for opposing akal takhat.There were scuffles yesterday and today heretci president has given in writing that they undertake not to support Gurunindak ragi Darshan and will follow whatever akal takhta decides.

    That is a great victory of truth.

In 1984 when the Sikhs were facing the wrath of the Indian Government and when thousands of Sikhs were being butchered on the streets of India, controversial ragi was busy doing what he does best. He was making money by acting in a film " Nimmo" and praising Dasam Granth by taking lines from Suraj parkash.

    Another smaller faction of Dal Khalsa in India must have attended the Tat Khalsa/Missionary College...etc meeting yesterday if it was not the mainstream one (as according to the news report above and others, some faction of Dal Khalsa in India did attend the second smaller split meeting, but must not have been the mainstream organisation - the media should make a differentiation of this).

    The more core Panthic organisations that set-aside their personal issues and collectively come together on one platform, the better long-term (and short-term) outcome the Khalsa Panth can achieve.

    While it's true that, according to various websites, the MP for Ludhiana brought up the violence in the Indian Parliament, in no way was he standing up for the Sikhs. Rather, the Congress party is taking the line that Badal mismanaged the affair and President's Rule should be imposed in Punjab. Also, they said everyone has the right to hold any samagam they want, which basically means a pro-Ashutosh statement.

    I think what Tiwari and the Congress would have preferred would be to use even more force, put down the Sikhs for good, and have the Ashutosh samagam go on for the full 3 days.

    So why are a portion of Sikhs supporting them?

    Because such organizations are their mouthpieces among sikhs.

    Fight but not with bullets... You need heavy control and discipline for that and real big organisation.

    You can achieve your goals by other means. It is a developed society. If you/we are right, no one can deny you and you will get support which is essentail for success. Any one with a gun is not a freedom fighter. Change your leadership if you/we can and get results. You/we need good leaders. An army without a leader is useless and more dangerous.

Also, Sangat may want to note after numerous requests from the Panthic Jathebandhia and Sant Samaj, to hold only one united meeting yesterday, these groups did not listen in an attempt to disrupt unity. Jarnail Singh and his Tat Khalsa were in particular invited to share their views at a joint meeting, but they did not listen. As a result, in their own meeting in which was also present the principle of the missionary college, and others who go against Sree Dasam Granth Saahib, no hard or fixed stance/decision was taken apart from boycotting Badal and his Akali Dal. Very few people came to this meeting and only a few of their own likeminded Jathebandhia were present.

    Note their thanks to Congress for help. Oh boy. They had gurnindak tarsem lal also there.

  12. Is not it more reasonable to accept that someone added some verses to malign his writings? Now we can not be sure what he wrote and what he did not. Do not extend your imagination to explain every thing written in the Granth as His writing. it is going to rduce our religion to a laughing stock. It already has... Hindus have almost succeeded

    If you know the writings that you say are not his let us discuss those here. It seems you do not know anything about Dasam Granth sahib and just posting heresays here. Dasam Granth is granth that gives us our identity, discards idol worship and demigods. This is Granth of khalsa.

    Everything written in DG is by one writer. Internal evidence says that. That is guru Gobind singh ji. No human can write this type of writings.They are simply aweful.

    Mind you this site does not permit slander of dasam granth. So if you have something up your sleeve write here.Otherwise simply making a general sattement derogatory of DG is not allowed.

  13. No, he baptized khalsa. SGPC definition of 1925 somewhere states that if someone declares that he is sikh and follows sikh preachings then he is a sikh. Why are you trying to reduce sikh population? Anyway, it is a different issue.

    What is the problem in accepting that Guru Ji used it as a common word for Lord/ God . It must be common those days to use these names. DID guru ji said that I am starting a new religion called sikhs which have to be different than Hindus and we have nothing to do with them..

    Yes we are different but others also exist and Our GuruJi always preached for love to all humanity and equality.

    Read SGPC rehat maryada first and then talk.

Gupt84, you do not understand the Jyot and Jugati aspect of Khalsa. GuruGranth Sahib Ji is the Jyot of Khalsa; and we are given a Jugati as well!! It even includes a Flag! AND A LOT MORE!!!!!

  15. Question. What is the identity of names 'Shyam' and 'Ram' that appear in some compositions of Dasam Granth?

    Answer. This misunderstanding about the appearance of names 'Ram' and 'Shyam' in the Dasam Bani was first created by the self-styled puritans called the bhasurias. They tried to prove that most of the Dasam Granth was written by the poets Ram and Shyam, names which occur in one or two compositions in the Dasam Granth. There is more than sufficient internal and external evidence in every composition to show that all the writings in the Dasam Granth were the works of Guru Gobind Singh. The names Ram and Shyam are used in some places as pen names. Actually speaking, they were not pen names but poetic translations of Guruji's names. Guruji's name Gobind is an attributive name of God; so also are Ram and Shyam. In Sikh theology the three words govid, ram and syam mean the same thing as the following quotations from the Guru Granth prove:

    siyam sundar taj nind kiun ai [Guru Arjan: Suhi]

    siyam sundar taj an jo cahit jio, kusti tun jok [surdas: Sarang]

    govid govid govid har govid guni nidhaan....

    govid govid govid jap mukh ujhal pardhan [Guru Ram Das: // Kanra]

    ram ram kirtan gae ram ram ram sada sahae [Guru Arjan: Rag Gond]

    In all the above quotations from the Guru Granth the words ram, syam and govid mean the same thing; and so also they do in the Dasam Granth where they stand for Guru Gobind Singh. That is why two or sometime all three of these names occur in the same composition.* This practice of writing a synonym for the proper noun in the Dasam Granth applies not only to his own name but to many other names also. iln the Dasam Granth, Guru Gobind Singh writes Netra Trung for Naina Devi, Satdrav for Satluj, Dasampur for Anandpur, Shah Sangram for Sango Shah, and Madra-desh for the Punjab. Even in our own times Bhai Sahib Vir Singh's maternal uncle Pandit Hazara Singh wrote his name Hazoor Hari while his father Dr. Charan Singh wrote his name Charan Hari. Sardar Dharma Anant Singh, in his book Plato and the True Enlightener of Soul, writes the name of Sant Attar Singh as Mrigindus Atrus. So Ram, Shyam and Govind are synonymous names of Guru Gobind Singh.

    Worry about spreading message for future generation. Guru Ji was just using a common word of those days... do not try to make foolish and funny meanings and make Our Guru as GOD. he naver claimed it and leave hm a GURU. He is better served like that...

    There is nothing funny in this.It was common practice to use pen names in those days.In swaiye of Bhats one bhat has used three names.

    In one charitra of charitropakhayn both names Ram and shyam come thereby indicating that they were same.

    What is important to see is if belief pattern of poets Ram and shyam was in line with Guramt or not.

    Sikhism had ten gurus.Guru gobind singh aksed his sikhs to be baptized with khande di pahul and wear kakkars.

    By the way how we do naam simran?

    Where does it say that this was the verbal salutation by Guru Ji?

    Can you show us that in SGGS ji?

    I know what Harmanjit Singh, Dilgeer, Inder Singh Ghagga, Kala Afghana, etc stand for.

    I also know what Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, Lamba, Thakur Singh Patialawala, etc stand for.

    It is necessary to know both sides inside out.

    We know what for dilgeer,ghagha,kalu stand for.

    We also know waht for Sant ji stood and sacrificed for.

    Do you know more than that and then tell us.

    Shabad for me is the Dhur Ki Bani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj

    If someone is not educated what does he do?

    If I am not mistaken, the Dohra 'Agya Bhaee Akaal Ki' is preserved at Hazur Sahib from the time of Guru Ji's Joti Jot.

    There are any versions at the time of departure.Some say that Guru sahib ordered khalsa to be guru.Kavi sainapat writes that.It is written by Giani Gian singh.

    But it does not come in SGGS ji and hence yardstick of only following what is written in SGGS is destroyed.
