  1. firstly to do seva in panj you should be thoroughly vetted in which you can say why you think you are not fit

as far as seva i remember when i was 9 or 10 we went to someone's house for a kirtan and the taksali singhs doing seva asked daas to do a shabad, i made an excuse saying i hadnt practiced and said no like 2 times... later when langar was served i was skipped over by everyone as if i was invisible, then finally one of the taksali singhs doing langar seva gave me some water and said this what you get for saying no to kirtan seva.

  2. Excellent work, thank you - and may Guru give you the resources and determination to grow.

"the site clearly has a warning that we don't endorse any of the beliefs."

"the daljit singh article about the kartarpuri bir actually proves that the kartarpuri bir is authentic... we recognize some of the material is controversial but it has been included so we can be educated about what has been said about certain things in sikhi - it's ultimately important to know what the other side believes and why so you can disprove it... sorry if the site has offended you, maybe you can suggest more clear wording of the disclaimer?"

I am afraid you condradict yourself brother, obvioulsy you do endorse certain beliefs. You need to be clear where you stand with regards to impartiality, if you are not impartial, then you shouldn't suggest that you are.

    Vaheguru.

personally i have my own beliefs, other sevadars have their own, we dont agree with each other on every single issue- i personally think the kartarpuri bir is authentic, i personally dont agree with everything ppl like mcleod say but the site as an entity is neutral - however if we have made a mistake and included something the akal takhat has banned please let us know as that will be taken off immediately but otherwise the site has no official endorsement although each individual sevadar may endorse their own set of beliefs

    hope that makes sense

  4. It is with Guru Sahib's utmost kirpa that sevadars for the iSikh network have been able to launch http://www.vidhia.com this past week. Savadars were able to scan in Kalaam-e-Goya or all of Bhai Nand Lal Ji's writings. Personally Daas would encourage everyone to read Rahitnama and Takhahnama in this book at the very least not to mention Zindginama.

Please send us suggestions and tell us if there are files we should add or books that you would like to see scanned in the future.

  5. According to Gurmat,

By speaking, listening and WRITING gurbani, a mortal can cross over the world ocean and also do the udhaar of his ancestory. Here is the gurvaak:

kehte pavitt, sunnte puneet, LIKHTEE(N) kul tariyaaa jeeeooooo.

But make sure that whenever u write bani, u treat that piece of paper just as a Gutka Sahib and give it the same respect.

In the future, the panth is going to write Gurbani again just as we used to do in the 18th century as this industrial civilization(maya) is going to finish in the near future.

  6. i apologize to all of sikhsangat for being 'absurd' ill try to refrain from having conversations about rehit in the future as if we dont agree with jasleen bhenji we are wrong... in fact maybe jasleen bhenji can write a new rehit maryada for us...

  7. everythings jootha so might as well eat from non-amritdharis right? you mentioned a lot of situations that are unavoidable - i.e. breathing, drinking water etc. (this is similar to entering a train that is filled w/ smoke from tobacco and having to breathe as bhai sahib randheer singh ji wrote about) but there's a difference between doing things out of necessity like savings someone life, breathing, etc. vs. doing something for pleasure - there are plenty of ways to exercise without swimming.

    as for definitions

    ਜੂਠ

    جوٹھ

noun, feminine pollution, contamination; food polluted by taste or touch, leftovers, leavings, orts, crumbs, kitchen refuse; slang. low, mean person

as you can see the first two definitions have nothing to do with food

  8. um no, no one called you stupid, now if you have a complex yourself, no one can do anything about that, and from your whole post about how much of the world ppl have seen, how long have you been an amritdhari? cuz that's your real age.... anyway no point in getting into my 12 yrs are better than your 11 yrs debate, but the point is, for someone who acts like they are more educated about the diversity of views in sikhi (not all of which follow gurmat) you surely jumped the gun in calling someone an extremist, and its just me but hearing ninda (or some thinly veiled sarcasm intended to insult the person) of a fellow gursikh for what is apparently no reason, is upsetting - im not claiming to be perfect, im not claiming to be better than you, but that's how i see the situation, as for the topic you still didnt address the point of the water being jootha - but i guess ad hominems are more your style - which is a game id be more than happy to play.
