i believe the huge reason for sikh youth getting involved in drugs or girls running off with muslims has to do with the fact their is a lack of sikh education most parants have failed to educate their children on sikhi so how can we fix this problem and how can we educate youth on sikhi without ppl judging the youth, cause alot of ppl who try educating sikh youth end up angering many youth by judging them and telling them what to do rather then just educating them and inspiring them

how much does a lack of sikh education play in the role of sikh girls dating and marrying muslims and how can we fix this problem, how can we educate youth on sikhi cause the majority of parants are clearly failing to do so i believe the role of punjabi culture were the boy is prefered over the girl has done a huge amount of damage, when boy is born family celeberates and girl is born family cry's how many girls feel neglected cause of this, boy gets treated like king girl gets treated like slave boy gets to drink and go out with friends girl has to sit at home and learn to be house wife but when girl goes to uni or is sneaking out of her house she's wearing mini skirts and getting drunk and rebelling and how can we get sikh males as well to treat other sikh females like their sisters rather then trying to sleep with them

i don't know if its cause they want clean shaven boys cause most sikh guys are clean shaven and most the sikh girls i know would have no problem dating a singh long as they are strong and confident, i know alot of guys who are singh's and don't cut their hair's and they have some of the most beautiful girls on their arms cause their confident and strong

i know this is a conteversial topic, but it's sad to see how many sikh girls have dated or do date muslim men, and how many sikh girls have married and coverted for muslims why have so many girls from our community dated muslim men and married muslim men whats causing this problem and whats the solution

could you post the documantry from bbc asian magazine i dont have it, a programme called east in west showed around 1988 on bbc, you will find that alot ex sp have it on video, but no has ever uploaded yet on the net. i rember the top sp showed thier faces while pakistani guys were darked out. do you know of any other coverage of these guys and why hasn't anyone uploaded the video

i think sikhs can be united when they all relize they feel the same way about a single cause, take uk for example i bet you could bring all kinds of sikhs together to deal with the islamic threat, when ever their is trouble community's come together, 9/11 look how america came together

in uk it should be able to be easy to unite, cause of the muslim attacks cause im pretty sure most sikhs are angry about this issue even the most white washed once, so address the problem together and come together to solve it i guess rather then making the gurdwara a place of politics make it a place to learn are sikhi and a place to solve the problems the community is facing today but one of the biggest factors i believe in why were not united is cause most of us arn't educated on whats going on in our community, you wouldn't believe how many sikhs my age don't know about all the sikhs that were raped and murdered in 84 cause their parants don't care to teach their children this we need to raise are children to be soldiers, we need khalsa programs that are fun educational and give each child a purpose, like willing to fight and defend their sikhi, these islamic camps teach kids to be soldiers for islam why can't we teach kids to be soldiers of sikhi raise boys and girls to be soldiers, 200 years ago women accompanied men to the battle field, 1947 women would rather die then be raped and killed themselves, 84 women were raped and now you know how many sikh women act

the person who makes these claims is a sikh i work with, he claims that sikhism was influenced by hinduism and islam, i forgot to add hinduism to the title of the forum but thanks for your reply's they really help could you guys give more examples of how sikhism is seperate from hinduism and islam and how it was not influenced by hinduism and islam
