SAD-BJP rout in Delhi Badal, son should quit: Sarna Sarbjit Dhaliwal Tribune News Service Jalandhar, December 9 Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal should quit leadership of Sikhs following defeat of the SAD- BJP alliance in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections, said Paramjit Singh Sarna, president of the Delhi Akali Dal. Talking to The Tribune today on the defeat of all four SAD candidates in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections, Sarna said Sikhs this time overwhelmingly voted for the Congress and worked to defeat the SAD-BJP combine in the Delhi elections. He said Sikhs, by and large, in Delhi did not trust the BJP and considered it as an anti-Sikh party. So they voted against the SAD-BJP alliance in Delhi, he said. Most of the Sikhs were allergic to the SAD’s alliance with the BJP, he added. All Sikh candidates, who contested against the candidates of the SAD-BJP combine in Delhi, won with a huge margin of votes, he said. The SAD leaders from Punjab had come to Delhi with 10,000 supporters and bags full of money, but they failed to make any impact on the Delhi elections, he added. “We supported the Congress because its leadership had promised to meet our five demands before the beginning of the Assembly elections in Delhi,” asserted Sarna. Among these five demands were removing of the black list of Sikhs, converting of the death sentence of Prof Devinderpal Singh to life sentence, enacting of the Anand Marriage Act, Indian citizenship for Sikhs and Hindus ousted from Afghanistan and now settled in Delhi and restoration of the land belonging to Majnu-ka-Tilla gurdwara. “Unlike the SAD, my party did not ask for any seat from the Congress, but pressed for accepting our demands,” said Sarna. “As the Congress has come to power in Delhi, I will not press it to fulfill the promise made with the Delhi Akali Dal,” said Sarna, adding; “I am certain the SAD-BJP combine would lose the Lok Sabha elections in the same way it lost in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha,” he said. “We will camp in Punjab to defeat the SAD-BJP combine.”

Delhi assembly elections Sarna Justifies for support to Congress The president of Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) Paramjit Singh Sarna on Monday said that it was BJP's prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishan Advani and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was responsible for Operation Blue Star as both had admitted it many times. He dared Shiromani Akali Dal Badal to de-attached from BJP as both of its leaders has admitted many ties that Blue Star Operation during the tenure of late prime minister Indira Gandhi due their pressure and SAD (badal) has been still supporting him for getting support In Punjab. Justifying support to Congress Candidates in Delhi assembly elections he said that due to wrong policies of SAD-Badal Sikhs have been treated as second citizens of the country and has created bitterness among Hindus and Sikhs in India and resulted to Operation Blue star and all incidents aftermath. He said that due to wrong policies many Sikhs, who have been listed in Black list, could not come back to India even after the disturbances have stopped in Punjab. Criticising Punjab Minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia for his utterances against him regarding support to Congress, he said that SAD-Badal was only party which has been towing the RSS agenda and begged 15 seats for them and satisfied with one seat in Delhi assembly. He dared SAD that they should follow the same formula in Punjab also with BJP. He said that with the satisfaction of only one seat SAD has downgraded the Sikhs in Delhi. Regarding Rahul Gandhi's apology for anti Sikhs riots he said that matter was over now for Sikhs as all the family members of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi have tender the apology for Operation Blue Star and Anti Sikh Riots. He said that He said the support to Congress was not unconditional and we have raised five demands which have been accepted by Congress President Sonia Gandhi herself principally. well brother this is because ...mr sarna has done so much for the sikhs in delhi...the accounts of the guru ghars have gone up by 40 %.....there is so much devolpments happening in gurudwaras...BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY...MR SARNA HAD LAID 5 DEMANDS WHICH WAS GOOD FOR SIKHS WORLD WIDE....out of the ones i remember were...CHANGING THE DECISION OF TO BE HANGED TILL DEATH TO LIFE TERM FOR SOME SINGH....I DONT REMEBER THE NAME...THE GURU TEGH BAHADUR MEMORIAL IN DELHI..WHICH WILL BE THE LARGEST SIKH MEMORIAL IN INDIA....TO STOP DEMOLITION OF GURUDWARA.. MAJNU KA TILLA...THE LAKHI SHAH VANJARA HALL IN G.RAKAB GANJ..WHICH HIS OF WORLD STANDARDS AND IS USED EVRY MONTH FOR KEEPING KEERTAN PROGRAMS FOR SIKH SANGAT...
