  1. Btw, you should seriously consider adding weight training 3 times/week it will help immensely with fat loss. Do cardio 2-3 times/week and weights 3 times/week; but do not do them both at the same day. If you do them the same day, do 2 sessions, don't do both in the same session. For example, cardio during morning and weights during evening. Make sure you get proper rest and nutrition (not just the protein shake) so your body can recover from the stress. Good luck.

Edit: You do not NEED cardio to loose weight, what you need is a small calorie deficit. But the ill informed media has made us all believe that cardio is the only way to loose fat.

  2. First off, let me congratulate you on starting a physical activity :) Now, I would say don't jog daily, 3-4 times/week is enough. This applies specifically to people living in western countries as a lot of times people run on pavement, that is not good for your joints.

I find that whilst jogging I get a temperory ache at the bottom sides of my stomach (particularly on the lett side). Is this normal?
That is your diaphragm (I think lungs as well) expanding to give more oxygen during exercise. It's normal and will subside over time as your stamina and endurance increase and your body adapts to using the supplied oxygen more efficiently. Take it slow in the beginning and listen your body, you have plenty of time to add intensity later on.
  3. And speaking of brainwashed. Everyone knows a person that cuts his hair and acts like the rest of the western society has been brainwashed to do it. You guys are trying to fit in so you can be accept as a normal person. You bend over in many ways just to be another person in the crowd. You adopt western culture, which is just political games with no truth and then call it the correct way of living. Political correctness is your Truth. The only way your going to make it in society is by kissing buts and the western culture has taught you the best way to do this. You wanna be liberal right.
Same can be said about a lot of sikh youth these days as well, just thought I'd point that out.

  6. There are different stages of spirituality. The lowest stage is the one where people hurt others for no apparent reason; such things do not bother them one bit. The highest stage is where one sees God in every being, in every iota of the creation. Such stages were attained and demonstrated by Guru Sahib Jee themselves. Guru Arjan Sahib Jee were tortured till physical death but they did not utter a single word of hate or anger.

What bhagat jee is describing here is pointing toward the higher stages (if not the highest) of spirituality. At such stage (avastha) does not matter what people do to you, you simply say 'tera keea meetha lagai...'

It is something to strive toward, but don't be confused or disappointed if you are not able to walk this tuk. The spiritual avastha required to carry out such acts is highest of the high.
