  1. Yes Mr Dogra truth is always rubbish specially when it is about Hinduism .

you dont want to accept the truth that mass killings which ur community has done.

Yes Inqalibi when points get raised on hinduism which are rubbish will state them simples!

Understand there are millions of different points in our world, so whichh one are you talking about ,because each point has a different answers from different people.

INow for the second part of the above, baseless rubbish from u to speak on personal level, know and condemn butchers of Hindu faith without hesitation, whether Delhi 84, Gujurat or Christians, just as condemn killers from other faiths!

  2. Brother, this is not just my belief but its also the belief of the Sikh Guru's too.

Like i said, we each have our own belifes and each to their own! Where i get annoyed is when a non-Sikh tries to tell me what my religion is and tell me that i'm a Hindu!

Yes, realise where your coming from , and can understand your anger or annoyance when non Sikhs tell Sikh people what they are, as they have no right, it is not their business, just as when Non Hindu people tell Hindu faith people what their faith is about, but turns out to be rubbish.

    1. Brahma, Vishnu & Shiv had flaws and were not perfect, Gurbani says so...FACT!!!
There will be some Truth within the Veda's, as there is within the Qu'ran & Bible but the fact remains, all these granth were written by Avtars who themselves had shortcomings. Our Guru Sahib's have no shortcomings, hence why Gurbani is perfect!
That is your belief, so no problem with that, we respect different faiths, but in our faith of Sanatan Dharma it states
The Hindu religion is naturally pluralistic. A well-known Rig Vedic hymn says that "Truth is One, though the sages know it variously." (Ékam sat vipra bahudā vadanti).[11] Similarly, in the Bhagavad Gītā (4:11), God, manifesting as an incarnation, states that "As people approach me, so I receive them. All paths lead to me" (ye yathā māṃ prapadyante tāṃs tathāiva bhajāmyaham mama vartmānuvartante manuṣyāḥ pārtha sarvaśaḥ).[12]
      Karma Yoga-selfless service or sewa:
Therefore, always perform your duty efficiently
and without attachment to the results,
because by doing work without attachment one attains the Supreme.

    1. King Janaka and others attained perfection
      by Karma-yoga alone.
You should perform your duty with a view to guide people
and for the universal welfare (of the society).

    Next primal message:

In sloka (XVI.18) Lord Krishna says: "Given over to egotism, brute force, arrogance, etc. they hate Me dwelling in their own bodies as well as those of others." Thus, Lord Krishna instructs that a Hindu must not hate others Hindus as he is there in bodies of all Hindus so Gita prohibits untouchability.http://www.desiquotes.com/subject/hinduism_quotes/page/3/

    FACT!!

  3. Let us be clear we acknowledge that Sikhism is a separate faith, and completely disagree with RSS on this point.

Vast majority of Hindu faith have their own lives to be getting on with, and this topic just does not come up, it is when bigotted hatefull individuals try to blanket everyone as the same that creates problems, regardless of who is doing it!

  4. Macauliffe writes:

"Truly wonderful are the strength and vitality of Hinduism. It is like the boa constrictor of the Indian forests. When a petty enemy appears to worry it, it winds round its opponent, crushes it in its folds, and finally causes it to disappear in its capacious interior. In this way, many centuries ago, Hinduism on its own ground disposed of Budhism, which was largely a Hindu, reformation; in this way, in a prehistoric. period, it absorbed the religion of the Scythian invaders of Northern India; in this way it has converted uneducated Islam in India into a semi-paganism; and in this way it is disposing of the reformed and once hopeful religion of Baba Nanak. Hinduism has embraced Sikhism in its folds; the still comparatively young religion is making a vigorous struggle for life, but its ultimate destruction is, it is apprehended, inevitable without State support. Notwithstanding the Sikh Gurus' powerful denunciation of Brahmans, secular Sikhs now rarely do anything without their assistance. Brahmans help them to be born, help them to wed, help them to die, and help their souls after death to obtain a state of bliss. And Brahmans, with all the deftness of Roman Catholic missionaries in Protestant countries, have partially succeeded in persuading the Sikhs to restore to their niches the images of Devi, the Queen of Heaven, and of the saints and gods of the ancient faith."

here we have a diatribe of rubbish written by Maxy Macuacliffe, it is this that shows the hate, one chappie held up as some sort of knowleageable person on Hinduism, dear me!! this Maxy clearly has no knowledge on Hinduism, and this causes problems, as people will defend their faiths against rubbish like the above.

    Hinduism verse:

    FACT!!,

any more lets us know what, will show more facts on sanatan dharma as responses to rubbish on Hinduism

The Bhagavad-Gita is the most systematic statement of spiritual evolution of endowing value to mankind. It is one of the most clear and comprehensive summaries of perennial philosophy ever revealed; hence its enduring value is subject not only to India but to all of humanity."

This correlation can be discerned by what Krishna expresses in chapter 15 of Bhagavad-Gita.

  5. i personally believe that the Vedas have gian beyond my comprehension but Sikhs will never accept Vishnu, Brahma, Shivji are Vaheguroo (God) as out Guru Sahib's have categoeically stated that they have numerous shortcomings - Vaheguroo on the other hand has no shortcomings!

That is your belief, no problem, respect different beliefs and faiths, as many pathways to God.

Only one God, whatever his name maybe

  6. The Hindu religion is naturally pluralistic. A well-known Rig Vedic hymn says that "Truth is One, though the sages know it variously." FACT!!

  7. You do know the bahmans made Ashoka sit below him because he was of a lower caste? If you honestly believe brahmanism/hinduism doesn't try to make the population homogeneous, then you're utterly confused or you have bad intentions.

oh dear, what a number of bhamans did, is not what Sanatan Dharma says:

    http://www.paklinks.com/gs/religion-and-scripture/88527-vedas-hindu-scriptures-prohibit-casteism.html

Thus, the central command of the 14 harmony richas and 10 profession not hereditary richas of Vedas is that all Hindus are totally equal by birth, of one bunch, share same water and food, worship together united in same temple, common are prayers, common purpose, common thoughts, united like spokes of a wheel, common oblation and friendly towards each others.

One becomes a warrior (Rajnya), Brahman (educated ones) or rishi, not by birth but by his efforts/training (karma) vide RV (X.125.5). No one is superior and no one is inferior by birth.

these are facts, more to follow if required

My caste is human, function is something else, but all fucntions deserve equal respect, as thats how society as a whole functions for the better.

Sir Max Arthur Macaulliffe who wrote The Sikh Religion and translated the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj to English writes that hinduism is like a serpent that slowly puts its grip around any new dharam and Sikhi is now at risk at being absorbed like hinduism absorbed buddhism

I dont give two hoots what Maxy Macualiffe said about Sanatan Dharma, dear me, as if hes some standard for Sanatan Dharma!!

Lets see what others have said:

The Bhagavad-Gita is the most systematic statement of spiritual evolution of endowing value to mankind. It is one of the most clear and comprehensive summaries of perennial philosophy ever revealed; hence its enduring value is subject not only to India but to all of humanity."

  8. I remember seeing a video on hinduism's rig veda where the presenter was saying there are 4 gods who control different universes or something similar

Only one God in Vedas, but many manifestations:

    Yajurveda 40.1:

This entire world is embedded within and managed by the One and Only One Ishwar. Never dare do any injustice or desire riches through unjust means. Instead follow the righteous path and enjoy His bliss. After all He alone is source of all bliss!

  9. Yes, hindusim evolved from brahmanism. They focused on a select few Gods and in return carried on the caste system.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvGXsHsFRlc&

Whats this. bhraminism, no idea, Sanatan Dharma-Hindus real name is from Vedas, Upanishads primarily, so what is written there counts.

Now prime messages in Sanatan Dharma:

    1)

In sloka (X.20)"I am the Self seated in the heart of all creatures. I am the beginning, the middle and the very end of all beings". All beings have, therefore to be treated alike
    2) Karma Yoga-Selfless service or sewa:
Therefore, always perform your duty efficiently
and without attachment to the results,
because by doing work without attachment one attains the Supreme.

    1. King Janaka and others attained perfection

and for the universal welfare (of the society).

    3. Moksha- end game for a hindu faith follower, but can only be acchieved by conduct of righteous deeds.

    Simple enough

  10. According to the Hindu Caste System hierachy a jatt is also a low caste.

Really, scriptures do not say such a thing, all functions are equal in helping society function for the better, dignity of labour for all functions:

In Bhagawad Gita, sloka 20, Chapter 10, Lord Krishna says,

    In sloka (X.20)

"I am the Self seated in the heart of all creatures. I am the beginning, the middle and the very end of all beings". All beings have, therefore to be treated alike

Thus, the central command of the 15 harmony richas and 10 profession not hereditary richas is that all Hindus are totally equal by birth, of one bunch, share same water and food, worship together united in same temple, common are the prayers, common be the purpose, common be thoughts, united like spokes of a wheel, common be oblation, friendly towards each others, etc. etc. One becomes a warrior (Rajnya), Brahman (educated ones) or rishi, not by birth but by his efforts/training (karma) vide RV (X.125.5). No one is superior by birth and no one is inferior by birth. In fact RV (V.60.5) reads “No one is superior (ajyestasa) or inferior (akanishtasa). All are brothers (ete bhrataraha). All should strive for the interests of all and should progress collectively. (sowbhagaya sam va vridhuhu
  11. The government justified the rejection of Sikh demand saying such seclusion would invite similar demands from others.

    Disgraceful excuse.

Those politicians that came up with that, need to think other groups have their marriage acts, so therefore Sikhs, ,Jains and Bhuddists rightly should have theirs as well.

Considering the delay to Anna Hazares anti corruption bill, just gives an indication to the corrupt individuals present in the govenment at current time.

Either have one seculAr marriage act, or many religious marriage acts for all faiths including Sikh, Jain and Bhuddist faiths!

  12. Now lets see a few verses which correspond to first point made about Shakti:

The idea of equality was most forcibly expressed in the Rig Veda (Book 5, hymn 61. verse 8): The commentator explains this passage thus: "The wife and husband, being the equal halves of one substance, are equal in every respect; therefore both should join and take equal parts in all work, religious and secular."

Yajur Veda 20.9 : "There are equal rights for men and women to get appointed as ruler."

Yajur Veda 16.44 : "There should be a women army. Let the women be encouraged to participate in war."

Yajur Veda 10.26 : "In this mantra it is enforced that the wife of ruler should give education of politics to the others. Likewise the king do justice for the people, the queen should also justify her role."

    [22]

Rig Veda 10-191-3 : O women! These mantras are given to you equally (as to men). May your thoughts, too, be harmonious. May your assemblies be open to all without discrimination. Your mind and consciousness should be harmonious. I (the rishi) give you these mantras equally as to men and give you all and equal powers to absorb (the full powers) of these mantras."

more verses to follow if you like!!

  13. Let's get down to discovering what the Vedas say about women. This was brought up in a different thread and there was a very biased side presented. Anyway here are verses from the Vedas that describe or speak about females.

Ok, lets do it, lets see the facts, now can you provide your link for the verses you have put up, as there have been mistranslations of vedas

    Firstly lets see this:

    http://www.jhubc.it/bcjournal/articles/polisi.cfm

For example, Hinduism personifies divine strength and power in the form of a female figure referred to as Shakti. Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning, Music and Fine Arts, is portrayed as a female in Hindu texts and paintings. Likewise, Lakshmi is the Goddess of Wealth, a female personification. Parvati, the mountain goddess, is the consort to Shiva, one of the most important Hindu gods. The Goddess of Dawn is Usha, the Goddess of Rivers is Ganga, and the Goddess of Earth is Prithvi - all female personifications of incredibly important aspects of nature on which humanity depends

So picture forms of the basic points

    http://agniveer.com/3309/women-in-hinduism/

" O Husband protect the son to be born. Do not make him a women

    Atharva Ved 2/3/23 "

    real translation:

Again case of wrong translation. Actual translation is “Protect the child in womb from infections and diseases. Be it a girl or boy, may it not be troubled.”

Here again, “Ma Pumansam Striyam Kran” is translated as “Do not make boy in womb into a girl”. But how can gender change in womb after fertilization? Actual meaning is “Do not trouble male or female child”.

"Indra himself hath said, The mind of woman brooks not discipline, Her intellect hath little weight.

Rig Veda, book 8, hymn 33, verse 17

    "

    real transalation:

Actual meaning: Do not try to rule over the thought process of woman. She can think very fast and in multiple dimensions.

This is also true. Women can think and connect at emotional levels that is impossible for men. That is why women can nurture children in ways men cannot even think of.

"Nay, do not die, Purūravas, nor vanish: let not the evil-omened wolves devour thee. With women there can be no lasting friendship: hearts of hyenas are the hearts of women.

Rig Veda, book 10, hymn 95, verse 15

    "

    real translation:

From this context, the Sukta is a disussion between a man who is attached to the woman and is ignoring his duties to the country as a general. The woman advises him in this mantra that: Do not run away from your duties due to indulgence in a woman. Do not share confidential details of country with anyone. They may be wolves in garb who want to destroy you and your country. A woman befriended for sensual purposes is a wolf in disguise. Hence stay away from sensual vices to protect the country.

"they could not discern the world of heaven, they saw this (cup) for the wives, they drew it; then indeed did they discern the world of heaven; in that (the cup) for the wives is drawn, (it serves) to reveal the world of heaven. Soma could not bear being drawn for women; making the ghee a bolt they beat it, they drew it when it had lost its power; therefore women are powerless, have no inheritance, and speak more humbly than even a bad man [2].

    Yajur Veda 6/5/8/2

    "

    Note:

The first reference is not clear. In any case Taitriya Samhita is not original Yajurveda. Kindly provide a reference from actual Yajurveda (Madhyandina Shukla Yajurveda Samhita to be specific, which is the actual Veda Samhita).

"Almighty God, you have created this womb. Women may be born somewhere else but sons should be born from this womb

    Atharva Ved 6/11/3

    "

    real translation:

The mantra meaning has been distorted to suit the agenda. The mantra has a deep meaning. But simply put it means that: “By Grace of Ishwar, woman is able to have a womb and nurture the child therein. May the woman have a son if she desires and planned so ELSE she may have a girl.”Thus the mantra simply implies that if couple has planned for a boy, may boy be born else girl be born. What translators have done is to translate ‘Anyatra’ as ‘Elsewhere’ instead of ‘In other condition or else’.

    pah, !

  14. Do you agree that Sikhism is a separate religion from Hinduism completely? As such, we should be recognized in the Indian constitution and have our own marriage act?

Of course Sikhism is a separate religion from Hinduism, and should be recognised in the Indian constitution as are other faiths and none, and have ownmarriage act, if other faiths do, though rather there be a secular marriage act, but thats another topic altogether, but if one faith has then other faith should too.

Just a matter of time as India is on secular pathway and still has a far to go to reach UK standards.

Average Hindu wanted this genocide thats the truth .

oh dear utter rubbish, nothing short of hate spreading.

  15. Singhs might want to offer the Hindus some security support over the protection of their mandir. Just a thought!

Yesterday Muslim elders in Ilford were came up to Singhs saying how they were impressed that the Sikhs organised themselves to defend the Gurdwaras and community whilst they hadn't even thought about it.

Thank you to the brave Sikh people for what they did.

The 2 Mandirs of Ilford Lane were contacted, no reports of problems at present

RIP to those brave Muslim people who died defending their community in Birmingham

  16. Politically that man is more Indian then he will ever be Sikh.

Well he got voted in, were there any protests against a Sikh person being PM of the nation.

We shall see. But what you talk about will never happen. The centre has too much power to ever let it go.

Human society always evolves, India will be no different IMO.

Oh dear oh dear. You dont understand democracy do you? An election held with no major opposition, held under occupation, held with no independant observers is not a proper election.

Oh dear, British gave Muslim league equal partity with Congress, despite them not getting same percentage of votes in 1946, yes so not democratic in that sense, and there was minority representation, but Congress leadership, apostles of pacifiscm, surrendered to the violence kicked of by the muslim league, against wishes of majority, they also later reneged on agreement they made to the Sikh leadership, after the partition bloodbath, which also was not right.

India is a secular democracy, as per what it says on the 'tin', it is not to the standard of the UK as yet, but is on the right path, which is the most important point, society and humanity has evolved for the general betterment over time.

Time for maharajahs was over, so e,g, Dogra ruler of Kashmir had to go, and let democratic will of India to speak

Notice to how I was referring to the 1930s when the UK had a major empire compared to the 1940s when Britain had to suck up to America. If you dont believe me read the autobiographies of africans and carribean folk who came to the UK in the 1920s and 1930s.

As for American rights, this was due to Americans wanting to avoid a repeat of the Civil War by pandering to Southerners with Jim Crow laws. Even today the right in many white countries is actively supported by many people and seek to return to the discriminating past.

I know about past, but UK has evolved for the betterment.

BNP hardly gets much percentage in votes, and in USA, where are the fascist parties in elections.....

  17. I've seen Gujarati Hindus do the same thing. I am pretty sure as are many of the others that the infamous 786 "Sikh girls are slags" leaflets were made by a right wing Hindu group. These leaflets were then sent to many Sikh West London families.

ive seen this, seen that, where is actual evidence, 786 was made by far right hindu groups, which one, where is evidence of this, until there is evidence, no group should be blamed, as it can be any rogue individual, who knows what reasons people may have.

It is quite clear there is an anti hindu agenda, to spread hatred against them particular 'HPS' to get them out of punjab, so start by spreading hatred against them, by accusing them, then wholesale tarnishing them.

Well in a lot of families homes, around the kitchen table, people just talk about their own lives and have no interest in spreading hate.

groups that spread hate against one group or another, have one thing that binds them: HATE itself, and HATE welcomes all groups does not discriminate between who is spreading hate, as long they continue to spread hate, rather ironic.

  18. Ahh yes, Hindu panjabis, unedning bull of hate is seen quite clearly here in the guise of 'hps' doing something.

Now i fall under 'HP' label, and not pretending to be anyone, and have no interest in spreading hatred, as real enemy of all peoples are those far right in all groups who try to spread hatred against any grouping wholesale against any grouping, pathetic!!

Now what are the numbers of 'hps' doing these activities well, are these same 'hps' also asking people to change their names at the deed poll offices, they have that much power dear me.

Dont get me wrong there are a number of bad people in al communities and will try to spread hatred.

Fellow Pakistanis in our community we try get along with show freindship, and they show friendship back.

  19. Like I said before....our slave masters are clever. It suits them to divert your attention. Make you busy fight a new enemy so you forget who the real enemy is.

Oh, the hindu bashing, hey, dear me, as to real enemy, well, those that want to convert the kuffars will end the religions, but lets be clear these number of individuals that do are not the majority in Paksitani community, as get on well with those in our local community, and we show friendship towards each other, just as during partition when all faiths lived together in Punjab, until fascist 2 nation theory spread by muslim league, who kicked of the ethnic cleansing, which prompted a response from non muslims:

    http://voi.org/books/mla/

Bu then we had people like Allah Baksh, sind 1st premier who was against partition:

    http://www.sasnet.lu...allahbaksh.html

then we had Abdul Ghaffar Khan in NWFP, who too was against partition, and in fact his party and Congress won the election in NWFP STATE in 1946, and it was Badshah Khan nwho ensured minorites lived fairly there, hence Sikhs people are fine in that area untill the Taliban far right come along

    http://en.wikipedia....ul_Ghaffar_Khan

Real enemy are far right in any faith, those that communalise all as bad, are just as bad, as spreading hate towards any group wholesale is wrong.
