  1. With headline like 'radicals' clearly shows their true intent. Is Sikhs for Justice radical? I thought India only consider turban amritdhari sikh as radicals but I guess they changed their definition and now includes liberal Sikhs as radicals too. India journalism is too weird. It is not like these authors/writers are writing this up on their own.. Most probably higher level editor forcing lower writers to write something against Sikhs and Sikhism in order to keep safe their jobs.

  2. I agree with MS. Sikhs for justice did amazing job and they are brilliant people. India media which is not independent from government control will always post and create sensation biased news.

They have the worst ethics and poorly trained journalist. India is a third world country and anything that comes from there (news, law, election) represent and proves that it belongs in that 3rd world category and will take another 100 year to come up.

Western media are sane enough not to cover or even comment on news that comes out of India. India can play dirty game and damage our outlook but little they know that this only will encourage young generation to take up journalism battle against them and beat them.

Only sad part is that 30+ years ago, sant jarnail Singh jee said, "eh Sadi badkismat ya, jehri Sadi sooch, khabar, biyaan akhbar walay nahi panday." And still today we still don't have major media player that airs our side of the story. I can only hope that someone with proper skills and mad wealth to come up with something that makes the world to listen us (including billion people from India).

  3. For the past few years, i am going to punjab for 4 to 6 weeks and i learnt a lot and experienced both positive and negative of the society. Grew up in city myself but used to spend every summer holidays in our pind.

Recently i started visiting my pind very often and started doing sikhi based programs in order to keep villagers away from *peer voodoo* stuff that was rising at alarming rate in this particular pind. So now i think i fairly had first hand experience with our rural sikh folks. Having lived some of my time in city where i did most of my middle schooling, so i am pretty much aware of city folks lifestyle.

    Two different world !

What i am trying to say is that there is a HUGE difference between rural sikh folks and city sikh folks. There is also HUGE discrimination issue between them. There is no unity between them and to me it seems like they are scared of each other. I rather side with rural folks when it comes to religious stuff but i think this is probably the biggest issue that our kaum ignored or keep ignoring.

What do you guys think of this? did you felt the same way?

  4. NAPA is naastic organization and a two man show. They have no backing nor any presence in California but always find a prominent space in news, which to me is bit fishy.

Manmohan Singh is probably the most clean and educated person out of India's political circle but when it comes to his personal responsibility for Sikh kaum, I have to rate him 0%.

  5. I think Virasat-e-khalsa is the best thing that punjab government ever did. I understand your point about punjabi culture but i do not totally reject our old punjabi culture. We do have young ones who hate the culture part for various reasons... maybe it is something that some of us cannot understand as they were never part of that lifestyle.

I think our focus should be on prachar which should not require buildings or other mega projects. We waste our time in planning/building stuff while ignoring the most important part of the project "Prachar". Visit pind by pind and do prachar, live the life of nomad and take shelter in already exiting networks of thousands of gurdwraas in punjab.

  6. Personally i think Manjit Singh GK is probably the best person to run DGMC. Only drawback is the party he represent in Delhi and no party is true/ok in india and in conclusion he cannot truly represent Sikhs of India. Thanks to SFJ for great job they are doing but I also think SFJ should not release such emotional PR. Diplomacy is the only way for such organization to stay up and above than other rogue so-called sikh organizations.
