How and why..we dont know. We have been given the instructions on how to obtain him and what will happen if we dont, and also if we follow the five demons in our body, kaam krodh, moh etc.

The deep details our human minds cannot understand and we dont need to know, we can keep arguing like fools, but everything we need to do has been clearly defined and proved again and again.

When we would fight, she would bring in the photo of harminder sahib hanging in her room to manaa mee, these things just make it very hardd...but all you can do is try to get closer to god...try to love him so much....try to get him to love u so much that you just dont have to come and go in this world anymore.

The work of karam's cannot be understood by us manmukhs, all we can do is, beg...beg and beg for his mercy..so that he may do kirpa and save the honour of our souls. Just dont attatch yourself to anyone else emotionally except the true lord.

Theres also a software at www.allaboutsikhs.com (Search gurbani desktop version, it has translations of all the Guru's Banis, and Dasam Granth.

Charitropakhiyan-Now you can research on that, theres even a translation of it online in pdf format, the onl;y translation in fact, but it has a lot errors. And I wouldnt exactly recommend it to you at this stage. It is a part of Dasam Granth said to contain the viles of women, the character, the good, the bad, the worse, well mostly bad and worse, getting a lil deep into this discussion. Umm..I was trying to get a hold of SS.S kohli's translation of it, since he is one of the best or if not the best scholars of sikhism, however he is against charitropakhiyan and believes it will just send the wrong mssg to our community which is why he excluded it from his work of translating Dasam Granth ji. He did translate it, but I believe he as asked shrimni akali dal not to publish it, and its lying with them, and they didnt publish it. I too think that Guru Gobind singh ji didnt compose charitropakhiyan, rather some poets of his court did (Shyam etc), but there must be a reason they were included in Dasam granth in the first place.

Who knows, nevamind, went offtopic, pm me if you need the error filled translations.

Recite the banis, try to understand what message they portray, and fall in love with maharaj's feet, he s just testing you.

Attatch yourself to no other, except him. (Kis naal kee jay dosti, sab jagg chalan haar). Enshrine true love for the true lord only, rest everything is false.

It would work the same way Israel Georgia Kosovo were formed they had nothing but they are still here working away at survival. The reason farmers committee suicide is because they have been manipulated by centre government and are tied in to contracts and been placed under huge debts. This can all change once everyone supports the issue.

Everything is there that the country would need. The only problem is the Sikhs are not ready for an independent home land yet. Independence struggle's take hundreds of years some times. The foundation has been laid we should work towards that goal and contribute what we can. The fight is not all about arms and war. Educate the future generations to come about our history in time all will fall into place. As it has done in the past.

When we were down to less than ten thousand Sikhs and gurdwara's had been blown up( first and second Sikh holocaust) things must have looked bad but true Sikhs fought on and look what we achieved and what we have made to date I believe these are achievements to be proud of and yes there are people who will look to the negative rather that achievements these are the people I believe who are worse than open enemies of the panth.

Well, its considered a so called consumable product. Google it for details.

Bottom line. It has a warranty of one year. Usually is only good for 1.5 yrs or so..may go longer, but rarely.

BEST thing to do- If you bought the laptop around a year ago, especially dell(HP might work), call tech support or contact them via chat from their support site. Say that the battery only lasts an hour or half an hour. They will make u do a couple of steps, prolly check quickset or check a couple of lights. If its under a year, they should replace it.

6 cell batteries are recommended for future buyers.

Edit: For the new systems that are not giving out enough battery time, you might wanna change the power settings from control panel, from maximum power use, power mode down to power save mode- uses less brightness on your lcd but should give out more time.

By Khalsa, guruji didnt mean the Nihangs who do ghota or sell afeem outside. By khalsa he was referring to the person who has Vaheguru in his mind, day and night and lives righteously. Well that has surely gone astray by a majority. However, there are some khalsa ji's who do live in exactly like the guru asked them too. I know more families who are hair keeping singhs but not amritdharis that chant name just like any amritdhari's , maybe more. Majority is of the cut surd punjabis. Step into the world, and youd be surprised how many of them do sewa and jap naam just like you, if not more. Lets say the rest half are Hair keeping Singhs, but most of them are not amritdhari. Again...step out of the limited viewpoint and you will find how many of them do the same sewa as you if not more and love god the same way.

Amritdhari's do the same , sewa, jap naam, have khande vaate da amrit. My very first post was I respect them.

Thats almost exactly what I was afraid of , taking each and every line of my post and giving your views on it , I had do the same as I have the strongest arguments for your each statement right now. But I never do that here on these forums . When I saw your post , I was just afraid , about the difference that it can make to any young Sikhs studying these forums , they can find out reasons at the drop of the hat for cutting their hair , belieive me. I don't want my coming generations come up to me and say , "Sikhi is about Naam Simran and Hair doesn't matter to the God " , and if you don't like my comments (which as per you are from 80's ) , I had take pride in it , I am an old school Sikh , I have faith that I have survived till now , so that I can atleast if not anything else , inspire others to whatever extent I can , anyways come to Punjab sometime , we can have Langar together . , Maybe I can help you out with things or I had just Serve you in Langar.

Har/Hari, is what our guru's reffered to the Allmighty as. He has billions of names. Vaheguru/Hari/Har Har Hare, is just what I prefer addressing Maharaj as.
