I think before "you throw your bottle out of the pram" you should approach all local leaders and get them to discuss what is the best way to promote sikhi without offending anyone.
The forum of this discussion should be done with representatives and the teacher who is spearheading the production. A suggestion might be to represent Guru ji through a voice over and orange/white light beam down onto the stage.
Might it be worth being liberal with such a contenious subject, has the play ACTUALLY been rehearsed? Or is it a suggestion that has been taken out of proportion by someone (which happens all the time!)
Nice to see three pages worth of "no's!" which if the case of what you have stated is correct, id agree with. But why not be sensible and people actually suggest better ways of promoting sikh history in a play!?
