i can speak, read, and write Punjabi and English, speak and understand Hindi and Urdu and a fair amount of Spanish....i know a few words in French too...........but i can pronounce words perfectly if i hear the correct pronounciation (from any language)

Its important that we don't just blame our sisters who got harrassed saying they're "wimpy" or "not strong" or something... Sometimes it's not that easy. For those who dont wear kirpan and didnt get martial art training or defense training, and even for those who wear a kirpan, knowing how and When to use it is also another aspect... (especially if it's in gurudwara and with giani!) So all this, basically to say... Easier Said than Done. (and it's not the girl's fault)

Besides that, I support the idea that girls (and guys) should get trained in self-defense, if not some form of martial arts. To give a better chance at fighting back. Also, we must not hesitate to fight back when someone pulls a move you know is wrong. What we need, is a strong community - girls should stick together and support one another - we should not shelter women out of fear of getting attacked - we should not avoid places out of fear - but rather learn to be fearless and live among the corrupt without it touching us.

being a victim doesnt make you weak. It doesnt make you inferior. It doesnt mean you arnt strong or smart or cant fight. being a victem doesnt put a black spot on you. It doesnt make it your fault.

but if you can fight back, do it feircely. or have the strength to walk away with your head high and never look back.

i m hear for the companionship of gursikhs.......to learn from them......and to expand my mind on the issues affecting Sikhi.....................i don't know why, but when i sit quietly to do paath i can't concentrate, but if i'm doing sumthing else (tying my dastaar, cleaning my room, washing dishes, and chores) i find myself concentrating more.........is that bad?

agree with it totally.....Sikhi is the enlightened religion so it is okay to have blind faith because even blind people are shown light in this path
