  1. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. Most of our youth today are heading down the wrong path. Most of the youth say that they don’t understand what is being said at the Gurdwaras they go to. I’d like to make a suggestion which may help the youth of today. Most Gurdwaras now have screens put up with Gurbani translations to help the youth understand Gurbani. The screens should be put up where everyone in the Sangat can see the screen. The suggestion I have is that the screens should be put up above Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee out of respect. The first time I was introduced to Gurbani translations was at a Rainsbai and I was shocked at what I had discovered. I couldn’t believe the vastness of Gurbani. I think it’s very important that the youth start to understand the meanings of Gurbani. If the screens are put up where everyone in the Sangat can see them, I think more and more youth will start coming to Gurdwara. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  2. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. As many of you know, more and more youth are leaving the Sikh religion. Not too many youth are embracing the Sikh religion. Why is this happening? One reason is that there aren’t too many Kirtan programs for our youth to attend. The need for Kirtan programs for our youth has never been more urgent than the times we are in right now. The connection someone makes while listening to Kirtan in the presence of Saadh Sangat is beyond measure. My request for everyone on this forum is to start more Kirtan programs for our youth so that our youth can embrace Sikhi. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  3. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. The joys of focusing on Guru Jee’s Charan are countless. Gurbani tells us this. Countless sins are erased if you focus your attention on Guru Jee’s Feet. To wash the Feet of the Guru and having the urge to drink in those washings, your mind becomes satisfied. However some people don’t believe in this. They say that only a fool would drink in those washings. What these people don’t realise is that the water used to wash Guru Jee’s Feet becomes Pure. It is a very hard concept to understand but if your mind continually focuses on Guru Jee’s Charan, your mind will find peace. If you continually focus your mind on Guru Jee's Feet with a loving mind, all your doubts and fears will be eliminated. Let’s all with a loving mind focus on Guru Jee’s Charan. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  4. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. I don't know too much about Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale but one thing I do know is that Sant Jarnail Singh Jee was a Saint. "May a Hindu be a practicing Hindu. May a Muslim be a practicing Muslim & May a Sikh be a practicing Sikh," were the words of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. In my opinion, Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was the definition of a Saint Soldier. He not only preached to the Sangat with love but he also fought for the Khalsa Panth. Let's not forget Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  5. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. As many of you know we are currently in Kaljug, a dark age. What more better way to fight the 5 evils (lust, anger, greed, worldly attachment and ego) than be in the presence of Saadh Sangat singing the Glorious Praises of God. There's no greater profit a person can obtain. I’m sorry for not writing more about this topic. I’m barely a beginner starting to walk the path of Sikhi, I’m still learning. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  6. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. The Glory of Guru Gobind Singh Jee is too great to write about by any one person. So before I begin I would like to ask for your forgiveness and my Guru’s forgiveness for any mistakes I may make while writing on this topic. We all say we keep faith in Guru Jee but do we really keep faith in Him? Those 40 Gursikhs who saw a million soldiers surrounding them and still didn’t give up. That’s called keeping faith in Guru Jee. We need to think about what we would have done if we were in that situation. Would we fight like those Gursikhs or would we get scared and try to run away? Today’s Sikh insults Khalsa. To have such a Great Father in Guru Gobind Singh Jee and not show honour to Him is a great injustice. Guru Gobind Singh Jee has so much love for the Khalsa that He says the Khalsa is everything to Him. We’re all His family says Guru Gobind Singh Jee. Guru Gobind Singh Jee has got his arms wide open ready to take us in. It’s up to us if we want to return that love or not. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  7. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. As many of you know, each morning at every Gurdwara around the world, Asa Dee Vaar Kirtan is being performed. Wouldn't it be nice if a few times a week Gurbani Shabad Kirtan was performed in the early morning? If this happens then maybe more people will start coming to Saadh Sangat in the early mornings. People might take this the wrong way but this is just a suggestion I'm trying to make. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  8. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. Does anyone know the purpose of walking in circles around Guru Granth Sahib Jee during a Sikh's marriage ceremony? What is the point of this when the God we're searching for is sitting inside of each and every single one of us? I hope everyone who reads this realizes the point I'm trying to make. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  9. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. We are very blessed to have the chance of being in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee. There’s one thing I would like to point out about the Gurdwara Sahibs we attend. The Sangat has started to sit on the floor facing Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee without the use of stages except for the person doing service of Guru Sahib. Shouldn’t that Sikh be sitting on the same level as the rest of the Sangat? This is something we all need to think about. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  10. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. As many of you know, the Golden Temple is considered to be the Sikhs’ Holiest Shrine. There’s something I would like to share with all of you. Our Guru Sahib didn't put the gold on the Golden Temple. It was put on by someone else. Do we really need the Golden Temple to be covered in gold? Does the gold make the Temple more spiritual? Does this agree with Guru Nanak Dev Jee's teachings? The gold was not put on by our Guru Sahib, it was put on by evil spirited people who didn't want to help the needy. The image this is giving Sikhism is being talked about all around the world. Millions are walking away from the Sikh Faith because of this. This is something we all need to think about deeply. The Guru is like a Shining Star. Let's all turn to Him for help in this dark age of Kaljug. Please forgive me if I offended anyone on this forum which wasn't my intention at all. I'm barely a beginner just starting to walk the path of Sikhi. Light to all. Love to all. Peace to all. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
  11. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh. Waking up in the Amrit Vela is a very important aspect in a Gursikh’s life. There’s something special about the early morning hours which makes your mind feel at ease. A Sikh of the Guru rises in the early morning hours to remember God. Some people argue that the night is supposed to be for sleeping and disregard what Guru Jee is telling us. But what these people don’t realise is that during the early morning hours there are a lot less distractions and your mind is able to connect with God a lot easier. If you start to get up in the early mornings you will realise that it is the most peaceful time to remember God. It is very difficult in the beginning but once your chah (desire) increases, it becomes easier to wake up in the early morning hours. Let’s all strive to get up in the Amrit Vela and Guru Jee will bless us in more ways than you could ever imagine. Bhul Chuk Maaf Jee. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.
