  1. hi, in the last few days a sister of one of my relatives was murdered in india. the body was mutilated and thrown in a well. you will hear more about this in the days to come especially in punjabi press in the uk. the main suspect is from london and is a keshdhari or amritdhari sikh. uk police say they cant do anything until they get contact from india officials. london based guys please keep an ear to the ground - we dont want this guy to flee to some foreign country. im not naming any names. the lady in question was his 2nd wife and has two small boys. hopefully justice will be done.

mods please let this one through asap, ban me if im talking rubbish.

  2. No one is suggesting governments be allowed to vet who can and cannot wear the kirpan. This is an internal sikh religious matter and only Sikhs have the right to decide on how to go about this.

The dangers of allowing just any random rahul, tom or davinder get hold of kirpan via amrit ceremony by wearing dastaar and keeping kesh without the right gyan and respect of siri sahib is pretty obvious. If the kirpan is misused they can do alot of damage to the Sikh identity and our rights to wear this important and valued article of faith.

Therefore in my view it is important the amrit ceremony is made to a very high standard before kirpans are dished out so that only those with sound judgement and mind are given this honour.

There are some scummy brahminwad hindustanis and ravidassia extremists out there (even covert members of this forum) who want the kirpan banned for their own racist religious and political agenda's. Therefore we should not give any reason for the enemies of Sikhi to use any excuse against our rights and religious freedoms.

surely a kirpan can be bought somehow by anyone? also a paag, kara etc etc. how would licensing help?

  3. How will it be practical for anyone to vet and licence the select few from millions of Sikhs ? Since we all live in mixed secular societies, the only right for Sikhs should be to carry a blunt and small mock kirpan that cannot hurt anyone. We are not living in medieval times.

A relative of mine (non-Sikh) was involved in a traffic incident with a kirpan wielding Sikh in a rage. He managed to escape alive from that incident but why should he have had to face such danger. It is grossly unfair that a section of the population should be allowed to carry dangerous weapons.

totally agree, it shouldnt be one rule for some and different rules for others. turban wearing people should be exempt from crash helmets tho, if they dont want to wear one because that is at their own risk.

  4. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

Many in Greece, through the recent economic recession that hit them hard, has turned to a very racist slant. They formed a recent political party (Golden Dawn) which is quite racist and targeting immigrants to blame for their woes (very Nazi-esque). All immigrant communities in Greece would do well to remain very vigilant.

golden dawn has been around since he early 90's and yes it has gained in popularity in recent years. i agree everyone should be vigilant against this extremism on the rise in greece

  5. there's a certain community that have been slaves since 1849! When are they gonna b freed? Probably when they actually admit it and get ready to give shaheedian!

they have been slaves? the whole community? none of them own their own houses? own land? have cars? the majority of them dont go to school? they are not amongst the richest citizens of their country?

  6. 100%, and harsh penalties for anyone who is caught using them. In fact, those who smoke tobacco should have a fixed % of their wages deducted and donated towards lung cancer treatment for those who cannot afford it and got it due to those losers around them who smoked.

what about those people who are allowed to drink alcohol in their religion, you would restrict their freedom to practice their religion? sounds a bit similar to those people who want to introduce sharia law worldwide

  7. He uses vague language and tries to understand something by comparing it to things that are entirely different and unrelated.

ok let me use more direct language: if there were massively more sikhs worldwide then at sometime or another there would be splits into different factions/groups/sects, this would lead to tensions which could easily lead to warfare and killings. christians fought each other and others and so did muslims and probably hindus too. no people are totally out with the risk of war breaking out amongst their population. it is ridiculous to claim one religion is better than an other, with regard to some aspect, because it is always YOUR religion that is better wether you are a muslim/christian/sikh/hindu.

  8. you have to know that their are other planets and we don't know what life forms must've died their, also some species on earth are becoming extinct, so where do you get more souls(more people are blessed with human birth, but not more availability of souls), it's a very long process. Their are actually less "independent and separate souls" than their was 10 years ago.

there are more and more humans and animals and bacteria and other such things, it is increasing

ofcourse there are other planets and possibly their is other life in the universe but nothing that we know of at the moment

  9. Life is eternal nothing dies but changes form. There are no should and should nots. That is for an individual to decide. There are religion that say humans have dominion over the creatures that creep and the birds that soar and the fishes in the sea. Such is the level of their arrogance. They use this to justify their cruelty on other species.

they say it is the word of god

  10. NO ONE IN THE WORLD IS REPORTING THIS.

ISIS IS OFFICIALLY SELLING CAPTURED WOMEN AS SLAVES. IN ISLAM IT IS ALSO PERMISSIBLE FOR A MUSLIM MAN TO INDULGE IN SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH A SLAVE WOMEN WITHOUT HAVING MARRIED HER. No limit on slave women either. A scum fighting for ISIS proudly proclaims:

Evidence is way to disturbing to post it here!

Justification in Islam on Slave women, read here :

    http://islamqa.info/en/10382

ISIS follow puritanical Islam as how it was done and followed in the time of Muhammad.

    And the world sleeps on.........

its is allowed in christianity too and judaism

  11. Close examination will reveal that you and the rocks and the trees and other planets are made of the same stuff. We all look different, but we all have identical substance. When you discover your oneness you will see that when you have treated anyone or anything as though it was not you, you have hurt no one but yourself. Life expresses itself at many levels of consciousness or self awareness. The higher the level of consciousness, greater the degree of self determination, the greater the ability to choose and decide. Mind/personality are different but soul is same ONE SOUL.

does this mean that we should cut down trees to build houses or crush rocks to make roads? when we drive our cars, quite often we see squashed flies on the front, this upsets me but what can be done?

  12. Both these things are quite difficult to do. The first one really speaks for itself, I can't imagine being allowed to have a cow tied up in my back garden lol!

The second seems to suggest the 'organic/free range' option, and while it does seem better than the abuse industries there are still issues that remain when it comes to calves and 'dried up' cows being sold to butchers because they have no use to the farmers. We need to remember that at the end of the day, each farmer is running a business and is trying to make money. He will get rid of anything that decreases his profits, however those things happen to be living creatures.

A previous poster on the first page made mention of his organization, Khalsa Ethics, that sounded quite promising however he has not replied yet to the follow up questions. Hopefully he is able to give the answer you are looking for, but for now it seems far too good to be true.

its a tricky situation, we are now so detached from the reality of our food and its production. this was never the case just a few decades ago. more scandals will come out in future

  13. Quit using these words (they, all religions, themselves) quite frankly it is really irritating and shows that you are afraid to talk like a man in a straightforward manner. Most people reading your posts are just laughing in their head because they've seen a bunch of people use the same repetitive vague language as your own to try to mask your agenda and where you're coming from.

Comparing tribal fighting over money in committees and maybe one or two murders to jihad and Islam fueled genocide, rape, pillaging of MILLIONS (countless) people in history?

    Canttellifsrs

why have i to stop using these words? : they, all religions, themselves

im not afraid to talk like a man and im not afraid to talk in a straightforward manner. sometimes tho words have to be chosen carefully because of the censorship on this forum by the mods but other than that i try to speak as freely as i can.

as ive said before, the religion of the killer doesnt nessessarily make it a religious crime. people with no religion kill as well. some people want lots of power/wealth/fame and they want to destroy everything in their path. they justify their acts by whatever methods they can, religion/race/fear/caste/genetics. christians have did it, hindus have did it, muslims have did it. i would guess that aboriginal people have did it to other aboriginal people as well. it was not because of their religion it was in spite of their religion.

  14. Our main problem of the humanity is, that we try to put limitations on the teachings of our Guru Sahibans , our Gurmukhs and Sant Janas in general ..... and encage them in so called religions, and because of this, from there on our problems start ....

Wahiguru is Akal, means beyond time ...... it is we the limited who go through changes.

He is never old nor young, He is the same forever and ever ....

So is the path leading to Him, throughout all the ages, eras, aeons.

It has been the same, and so shall it remain, no matter howsoever we manmukhs try to manipulate their teachings.

Let us have a look, to what do they have to say to the topic of this thread.

For example Dhan Dhan Guru Amar Das tells us in Raag Gauri Guaarayree:

Vin Naavai Ko Mukath N Hoe

But without the Name, no one is liberated

Jug Chaarae Naam Outham Sabadh Beechaar

Throughout the four ages, the Naam is the ultimate; reflect upon the Word of the Shabad

I think here in these sweet words of Satguru Jee, He reveals us that, without Naam there is no salvation, and this has not started with Sacahy Patshah Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj since six or seven hundred years back, but since the very begining of all the eras, all the yugas, all the times, whether past, present or future.....

Wahiguru is only one, the path leading to Him can not be two, three or four, according to diffrent races, dharams, mazabs caste classes, or geographical locations....

People, languages, races, lands, rituals, religions can be many, but the fact is Wahiguru is one, the souls(jeev atmas) are also one of that Wahiguru´s essence, so naturally the path has to be one, and that one path according to the Bani, is none other that of Naam Simran.

    Sat Sree Akal.

how did people achieve salvation before sikhism?

  15. The difference is according to Sikh principles and the definition of a Sikh, narakdharis are not Sikhs. On top of this, they do not believe in Guru Granth Sahib Ji to be their Guru, they openly desecrate it. That comparison shows the center of the problem in your post(s) - lack of knowledge in the subject you're talking about.

If someone in the Islamic world did that there would be chaos even among 'moderates'. Within the Sikh panth there is much difference in jathas and practicing of rehit, but the center foundation and beliefs are same at the core. There is tolerance for difference and approaches, but if someone doesn't consider Guru Granth Sahib Ji their Guru, they are welcome to practice their own religion without the label of being a Sikh.

In Sikh history Sikh Panth has never been responsible or instigators of any sort of mob mentality genocide, I am not sure you can say the same.

youre "not sure if i can say the same" about what?

all religions would say the same about themselves, they would say our religion does not condone this sort of thing or that sort of thing. it is the people themselves who cause the problems.

as far as i can tell from the few that i know - nirankaris regard themselves as sikhs.

it wouldnt take much for a slightly different interpretation of sikhism to become a following and then there would be likely clashes between the different groups. there have already been killings regarding issues such as chairs in langar hall

  16. The energy field that you call the light , or soul envelops a physical object. This light radiates into all physical objects, and thus create them. Its reverse of what popular belief about soul is that it is localized at some particular point the body. There is no place where your soul end and another begins. Its a universal soul GOD. Its like air in your house. In your home there are separate rooms yet there is only "one air". The air in kitchen has some food smell characteristics. That can be sensed in living room but its not separate air. So you soul does not live in your body its the other way around. Your body lives in a force field, its housed within this energy.

so there is just one individual soul? ie. your soul and my soul is one soul? or do we all have individual souls?

  17. eveyrthing has a soul , every matter even the things we consider lifeless have a soul

    all is akall

    akal akal akal karenge

i was meaning things like bacteria and viruses and from your answer i take that as a yes - but do you mean even trees and plants and moss and mould? what about rocks and water and air?

    thanks
