    soo did Guru Gobind Singh ji have a go at the mughals as they bricked two of his sons alive and saw two of his sons die in battle? NO!

    see thats the difference between Sikhs back then and us Sikhs now...honestly if you take my opinion I agree with Dr. Manmohan Singh ji and instead of creating another bloody conflict, we should aim for peace!!!

    Good luck, it isn't easy a their is so much out their.

    I suggest you start with the six shasters and focus on vedant first as i see you are doing with the Gita. Start on a faith at a time and do not try all at the same time as you will get lost. Make sure you expand on each faith completely such as looking at islam you should not focus totally on Sunni and Shia islam but also the Naziris, Ishmailis, Sufis, Druze, B'ahais, Mandeans, Yizidis. Same with Buddhims, Hinduism, Christianity. Judaism is quite rigid. but the rest are vast.

    Focus on their religious gospals/granths also as a comparative to the techings in The Granths and that will keep the subject fresh even when you hit some dull subject matter

    hahahaha, im just messing with you bhaji. even i havent dont those things yet myself. but yea, studying other religions is a very very good thing. how can we answer other peoples questions if we dont even know their religion. but just wanted to emphasize that sikhi is waaay bigger then what people think. and sometimes we read few textbooks or few literature and think oh wow look i konw soo much. yet that is just the beginning.

    giani thakur singh ji says in katha, that 75% of sikhi is inside katha of sri guru granth sahib ji, and most of us have not heard entire katha yet, so yea....its a big ocean out there, we like small fish.

    lol yeaa true, u scared me there tho :p

    have you read suraj parkash granth? have you had santhiya of sri dasam granth sahib ji? bhai gurdaas ji's vaaran? bhai nand lal' gazals?

    I think gurmzz is right in a way. Studying other religions will only make us realise just why Sikhism is the best way of life out of them all. Do read Quran, but make sure the translations are not biased, and read the new testament too. Do a wiki search on Judaism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, etc. and then make up your mind as to why Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Sikhi is the perfect way to life one's life :) All the best!

    soo im gonna start researching other religions...was just wondering, do you guyz have any websites for islam, hinduism, christianity or any other religions that have info on them, like sikhiwiki
