I was reading some Namdhari material that Guru Gobind Singh Ji didn't give Gurgiddi to Guru Granth Sahib.

Namdhari says that there is no Puratan Guru Granth Sahib that says on the cover Guru Granth it only says Adi Granth. This is one fact Namdharis are trying to write in that there guru was given giddi.

I want to know if that are any books puratan that says Guru Gobind Singh Ji give giddi to Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Fatah.

how do we know that the word ram ram in the Guru Granth Sahib does not refer to ram avatar.

or Har Har does not refer to Vishnu.

I find it hard to believe that we couldn't get most of the books these great people wrote on the internet. Some of them is available but the main works of theres is not on the internet. Like Prof. Sahib Singh Gurbani vaikhyan book or Giani Ditt Singh's great book where he is having a talk with a pundit and talking about how Bhrama couldn't have wrote the Vedas.

a general question....is this only for sikh kids or all kids

have what in panjabi? Gurbani? if this is what you are thinkng there are many hindi, brij, farsi, sanskrit words in Aad Guru. Gurmat is not a Panjabi movement.

What i met was Gurbani was in the common language that everyone could understand not in Sanskrit.

I was trying to point out that even though that these Sikhs are one with God and we know that they are True Saints that they didn't use big titles in front of there names. Unlike todays Saints.

I have been working on a teeka on Jap Ji Sahib, I did it so I could better understand Gurbani. I hope this can help someone else.

Please accuse any mistakes or please point them out so I can improve upon it.

I have been struggling with the Sant word. I dont think it should be used for a sikh, because it was not used during the Guru period. If someone is a true Sant it will be the great Puratan Sikhs like Bhia Mardana, Baba Buddha, Bhia Gurdas, Bhia Mani Singh. But none of them got that title only todays Sikhs put the title infront of there name.

I think that the first Sikh who was called a Sant was Baba Attar Singh, and there was much oppostion of useing that word infront of His name.

Is Dharna Kachi Bani?

No.

Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji (Rara Sahib), Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji (Kaleran Wale), Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji (Mastuana Wale) etc All used to sing Dharna. It's just an easier way to understand the meanings of Bani

I know its a easier way to understanding Bani. But wasn't the point of Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji to have it in punjabi so it will be in the common lanuage.

Also, it seem were getting farther away from Gurbani by first not doing keertan in Raags now we doing it on the harmonium which wasn't used during the Gurus time. Now we have Dharna which is a new phase.

Also, alot of stuff starts with Baba Attar Singh Ji

This teeka promotes vaishnav over gurmat. Its metaphors are too much on vishnu and hari-sant bhagti. No teeka is perfect but i doubt anyone can translate agam agadh agochar nirankar into words.

Please can you use examples from the teeka, for us to better understand the question.

I think people say it leans more towards hindu views because it uses examples from

hindu granths.

Maybe he needs just some time alone to work it out by himself. But just be there incase. Also, let him know that people go through hard times in there life to you just have to come out strong. Guru Ji is testing him.

I was just thinking why would people need to invent dharna, shouldn't we learn Gurbani, how its written. Instead inventing poetry.

I just got the Faridkot Wala Teeka and want to know if there are any problems with the translation. Some say that the translation is geared more towards hindu views.
