  1. It is very true that something needs to be done about jaat paat. But sadly amritdharis let alone other still believe in caste. I got discriminated against just because I wasn't a so called jatt. But remember those who believe in caste Guru Sahib will never accept them.

Jo Sikha Ko Puche Jaat Soh Sikh Nahi Mero Aad Jugaad (Those who ask a sikh's caste, they are not my sikh, they never were, and they never will be) --Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Jee Maharaj)

Bhai Nand Lal (Singh) ji in his Rehatnama ,has mentioned at a place:-

"Amrit ko paani kahe ,Sikh ki poochhahe jaat.

Kahe GOBIND SINGH Nand Lal ji ,so sikh jampur jaat."

Whenever we ask some sikh as to which jaat he/she belongs,we

    are marching ahead towards NARAK.

  2. sukhmani sahib didnt stop, its dhur ki bani, nobody can stop it. but maharaj was writing sri sukhmani sahib, and they completed 16 astpadis. and at that time, baba sri chand ji came to meet maharaj at amritsar. it was the nimarta of maharaj that they asked baba sri chand ji to uchaar bani and they would have it added in sri sukhmani sahib. as maharaj said that this would be an honor since baba ji is the son of dhan dhan guru nanak dev ji maharaj, whos gaddi had been passed down onto guru arjun dev ji maharaj. and at that time baba sri chand ji said no no, they cannot add bani as they are not guru, and they do not have authority, these bachans show the nimarta of dhan dhan baba sri chand ji as well. but upon guru ji asking again, baba ji said to put pita ji's pankti's from mool mantar as the salok. and thats why, the 17th salok of sri sukhmani sahib is from mool mantar, but since maharaj had written it in jap ji sahib, guru arjun dev ji changed the bihaari into a sihaari, cuz in gurbani, and guru granth sahib ji, the same 2 panktis never repeat. if bani does repeat, there is always something changed about it. and this was to show respect of maharaj guru nanak dev ji.

but yea, sukhmani sahib has kirpa of both guru arjun dev ji and baba sri chand ji. some frown at the name of baba ji, or think that baba ji has no shakti or something, but this is guru nanak dev ji maharaj's saputar we are talking about here. its a very very big deal to be born into the house of maharaj guru nanak dev ji. so baba ji needs to be given utmost respect.

  3. Caste system realy needs to be eradicated from Sikhi.

But no one is doing some thing for practical implication of the same and everybody

just talks ,gives quotes from Gurbaani . Can any body from so called higher castes

can marry his daugtrer/son to a boy /daughter from so called lower caste? If yes,

it is O.K. and if no , please forgive me , we are only so called Sikhs or BHEKHI SIKHS

    and not real SIKHS.

I being an Amritdhari ,wanted to marry an Amritdhari SIKH Girl in 1979-80 and

advertised in a leading Punjabi news papper mentioning especially "Caste no bar"but

got response from only 2 references one was from Sandhu Jats and another from

Ahluwalia family.Because I had decided for inter caste marriage and that too without

dowry and with Baraat of only 5 persons including Myself ,Ihad no option other than the

Ahluwalia familys Girl who ( now my SINGHANI )was Amritdhari too. Though I had to

make all out and very hard efforts to get my mother agreed for it.

One of my brothers daughter has married a boy from RAVIDASIA family and

the farher of the girl who is my elder brother ,though participared in the marriage

and has also perfomed the Rasam of PALLA PHARANA, is not in talkative terms with

his daughter and her husband and does not allow the couple to enter his house.

I call him BEIMAAN because is hostile in the court of SIKHI and GURU by participating

the marriage ceremony in the presence of GURU GRANTH SAHIB as father of the Girl

but now hasitates to accept the relationship due to society.

So to eradicate the caste system from SIKHI we shall have to be bold enough

to accept rather welome such stories.

  5. My dear Sister,

My wife(Better to mention her, here as Singhani becoz of an Amritdhari before

marriage ) faced same problem when we were married in APRIL 1980.

After waiting for a week , ( though my wife did not complain me) I discussed the

situation with my father and requested him to stop my mother by doing so. However

after observing no progress in the situation ,I did talk to my MOM on this topic( but not

in presence of my wife becoz she has never discussed the situation with me where as

I was a silent spectator of misbehave of my Mom) .And thereafter the situation was

improving very slowly with my continuous intervention. I may add that my wife never

reciprocated the misbehavior of my Mom,she never complained to me or her parents

or her sister or any other relative and she has always been respecting my Mom like

her own Mom( till death of my Mom in 1989).

And after her death my wife, my father and my self were discuusing on this score and only

than my wife became to know that I improved the situation with regular intervention and

discussion with my Mom, and she was she was very much surprised to know all this.

I have told this story only becoz if some one can get guidance from this real

story it will be a grand success.

  6. Talking in scientific language ,Tea contains 6to 8% NICOTINE ( A Narcotic which is

found in tobbaco) ,3 to 5% caffeine(found in coffee) and lein 3%. Amongst all these

chemical components lein is most dangerous which deposits in intestines like dark

brown shade in the tea pan if it is not washed for 3to 4 times after making tea.

And deposit of this chemical after some years causes acidity in stomach permanently.

However we can save ourselves from this problem by not drinking tea made by boiling

the tea leaves and take only DIP DIP TEA because lein is dissolved only after boiling a few

    seconds continuously.

However some sectors in SIKHISM like AKHAND KIRTNI JONATHAN, TAKSAL and late

Baba AJEET SINGH JI NATHALPUR have been condemning use of tea saying that tea

is made after mixing it with tobacco ( Tambakoo di putthh )which may have been told

in simple lay men language after having knowledge by reading scientific literature.

Since Coffee does not contain Nicotine, no such objection has been raised

    by any sector.

Guru roop sadh sangat ji I have tried my best to explain but may I be wrong also

    becoz :-

"Bhullan ander sabh ko abhull Guru Kartaar."

  9. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh,

We should not get confused about Punj Baneeya.

Punj Baneeya are the same baneeya which are read or recited by

Punj Peyare during AMRIT SANCHAR and are JAP (Japji sahib) JAAP

Sahib, Savaeeye,Chopaee and Anand Sahib and these are for AMRIT

VELA.These Banees were recited By Guru GOBIND SINGH JI at the time

of first AMRIT SANCHAR on Visakhi of 1699 and there is no dispute

    about it.

However,if we consider the REHAT MARYADA of SGPC where in JAPJI,

JAAP SAHIB and SAVAEEYE are mentioned as NITNEM for AMRIT VELA

and REHRAAS and SOHILA for night, there is no ban on reading more

Baaneeya at any time and as such if we read CHAUPAYEE and ANAND

SAHIB during NITNEM of AMRIT VELA, there will be no objection from any

sector of Khalsa panth as SGPC rEHAT MARYDA also says that every Sikh

read as much Gurbani as much as one can.

So we should do our NITNEM in light of above and must recite as much as

GURBANI as we can and try to increase our time devoted for reciting GURBANI

upto 2.30 hours daily so as to ensure that we devote at least DASVANDH i.e.

one tenth of 24 hours in the company of our SHABAD GURU.

Bhul chuk khima, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh,

  10. Guaru Roop sangat jeeo,

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh.

I have been very seriuosly suffering from Post cardiac surgery complications and accuute asthma

since last one month and remained hospitalised for some days at Apolo Hospital Ludhina. But now

with the blessings of Waheguru ji and sadh sangat ji, there is lot of improvement. That is why

I remained absent from the forum since last one month.

I very honestly ,humbly, submissvely express thanks to Satgur Sachcha PATSHAH JI

to bless me with DEH AROGTA as is said in GURBANI:-

    Har har Naam dio daaroo,

    Tin sagla rog bidaaroo.

    and

Rog mitaae jeevaalean jaka bad partap.

    and

    Mera baid guru gobinda,

  11. Weather we read GURBANI loudly or slowly or silently, there is hardly any difference

but more important is this that we understand the message given by GURU SAHIB JI

and our life style accepts the message and practically the same is implemented in

our day to day life, as is told inthe shabad :-

    O Nanak, the Gurmukhs meditate on the Lord;

  19. There is hardly any difference. But it is important that our munn hears and understands it

as is told in Japji sahib:-

" Gaaveeye suniye munn rakhiye bhao,

Dukh parhar sukh ghar le jao."

Here Guru sahib give stress on munn.

At another place in a shabad it is told:-

" Munn kar kabhoo na har gun gayao,

Bikhiya-sakte bhayao nise basure keenao apno bhayao."

So it is important that our munn reads and hears Gurbani and we implement the same

    in our life style .
