  1. Yeah i remember that so well...i lived in Punjab when all that happened...i remember what the situation was like when Benta was finished...all were so happy. in some places there were Dhol and Bhangra...others congressi ppl blocked the roads.

Gurkirat, his grandson, kidnapped Katia Darnand (a french tourist) and molested her, alongwith his friends! IT IS REALLY A SHAME THAT THESE DOGS CAN EVER BE CALLED SHAHEEDS! He can't be Gurkirat! :'(

Just think: they didn't leave a french national! what did they do to Punjabis (sikhs)??!

    The whole article: http://www.aftenposten.no/nyheter/uriks/ar...ticle846916.ece

It is in Norwegian, so you won't understand a lot. But it is basically about the new Singapori PM (Lee Hsien Loong), and the president S.R. Nathan.

    So i am still counting:

UAE king, UK queen, Indra Gundi and basically most Indian leaders, Singapore President, all have/had Sikh bodyguards.

Heard about 'Akal Security'? It is run by white Sikhs (Sikh Dharma org). And they guard federal destinations, us army installations, airports etc.

  3. Also, further readings:

Contact dealers Singh Brothers, Amritsar @ www.singhbrothers.com

    Ask for the following:

    1. 'Prem Sumarg Granth' published/edited by Randhir Singh [reseach scholar]

    2. 1965 issue of 'Punjab History Conference Proceedings', that was a poject by Punjabi University Patiala. In that journal you will find an article by one of the greatest historians of Punjab (at present), dr. J. S. Grewal, titled 'Prem Sumarg: a Theory of Sikh Social Order'

    That will be helpful.

I believe total cost would be around $ 15 to get the books in about a week by Air-mail. [they will give you the info...just contact them].

  4. After doing some thinking: i agree with the points made by MKhalsa. That is the way to go...also the Saroops in India should be given atleast this respect. there should be a manual for various museums etc for keeping the Saroops, as the need it! they are not disrespectful, but it is ignorance, and that can end if out community starts a joint movement.

it is time to start a 'Bir Darshan Sudhaar Lehar', just like our forefathers started the Gurdwara Sudhaar Lehar.

  5. Pyare Gurmukho,

Daas wants to share something with the Sangat. It is true that the present issue is about British Library, but i feel lots of such libraries/museums around the world have Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in their vaults. Even in Punajb/India.

    What must be done?

The only solution i can think of now is:

To collect all the historic manuscripts/Saroops at one place, where they are given due respect. Something similar is shown in the Agan Bhet Video:

    http://www.gursewa.org/multimedia/sewa/sewa.htm

Where the Saroops are given due respect.

However i am not fully for the Agan Bhet option, as there could be a historic/reseach value of the Puratan manuscripts. They should be kept in such a 'Sikh museum' fully protected, but WITH Maryada.

Again i am in doubt about the displayment thing...should such a 'Sikh museum' display the Saroops or are they to be protected there and not shown to anyone besides those who do the Sewa there?

    Bhul Chuk Maaf

If someone does not accept the authority of the SGPC, then he should not accept its 'Rasad' too. In Punjabi we say, "Namak Khaa Ke Haraam Nahi Karna Chaahida".

read the whole thread. Akali Nihang Baba Santa Singh Ji is recieving Rasad by SGPC, still the beloved UK Nihangs call SGPC 'xyxyxy'.

I just like to say that, THIS JUST CARVED THE BIGGEST HOLE IN THE SANATAN MATT IDEOLOGY! And i am sure noone will be able to tighten it.

Mintu bhaji, i believe Amrit Ji knows what he is talking about. It is really a shame that Narsingha Ji can't pull the trigger online.... rolleyes.gif A forum is meant for debate, isn't...
