You can not blame SGPC for everything that goes on. Lately, the Satkar Commitee has started using questionable tactics themsevles.

Years ago, the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee was a joint effort between independent Panthic Singhs, Akhand Kirtan Jatha Singhs, and Damdami Taksal (Ajnala) Singhs.

The latter two groups have now distanced themselves from the current head Balbir Singh Mucchall who has unilaterally made decisions that were not very popular with the rest of the Singhs.

Reacting violently to every transgression is not the Khalsa way, Satkar Committee should know better. They need to learn to deal with issues in a more sophisticated manner.

I hope Satkar Committee rethinks about their tactics and approach, otherwise they will not support from the Public or the Panth.

GPS Ji' it is sad that you are praising Badal. If you are noticing the wrongdoings of Sarna, why do you have a soft corner for Badal?

Badal is responsible for the murder of 13 Singhs on Vaisakhi 1978, and countless fake arrests, and tortures of Singhs.

He has single-handedly destroyed or undermined all major Sikh institutions, including Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Under his "wonderful" raj - he has brought promiscuity, vulgarity and lewdness across Punjab.

The 'Khalsa-Virasat' complex was made by from the money fleeced from the blood and sweat of the poor Punjabis. It could have been spent in a wiser fashion, on the poor or the homeless or the victims of 1984 pogroms.

The Khalsa does not need cheap concrete structures to preserve our 'Virasat' - this Virasat is built by the blood and sacrifice of our Shaheeds and not some Isreali Jew architect.

Sant Samaj and Takht Jathedars Shamelessly Ignore Ruthless Tactics

In welcoming right-wing Hindu terrorists of the Bhartya Janta Party (BJP) and Vishav Hindu Parishad (BJP), the Badal Regime systematically silenced all opposition protests in which cherished Sikh dastar of the young and old was desecrated openly by the security forces.

The Akali Government, who is in alliance with the right-wing BJP, and the snatanist Sant-Samaj in the upcoming state elections, openly welcomed the Hindu Terrorist leader LK Advani's 'Rath Yatra' to Punjab. Advani is infamous for having approved and celebrated the 1984 invasion of Sri Darbar Sahib that killed thousands of innocents Sikhs and caused the destruction of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

While Akali Dal Amritsar and Sikh Student Federation activists were being kicked and beaten by the security forces, their dastars thrown on the ground like trash, shameless Sant Smajists, the self-styled babas who have been fleecing the Sikh nation for decades, were holding closed room meetings with Badal Dal representatives in hopes of reserving as many seat as possible for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.

According to Gurbani Brahma, Bishan, Mahadeo (Shiv) are all diseased and stuck in their own Hoamai (Ego).

I have read on this message board certain sant followers post statements by such and such so-called "mahapurakhs" and "brahmgianis" that believed that these devi/devtaas reside in SachKhand have no idea what SachKhand is.

If one can not rid their own ego, then how can reach such a place as SachKhand?

Gurbani is clear these devi/devtas have done a lot of jap/tap, but are nowhere near the level of Guru Sahiban or Gursikhs.

CULPRIT REPORTEDLY CAUGHT IN LATEST DESECRATION OF GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI'S SAROOP

Batala, Punjab (KP) - In the latest incident of sacrilege where angs from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Saroop were torn by some mischievous elements, the Batala Police announced that they had apprehended the culprit responsible for this beadbi.

The individual was identified as Tarsem, son of Surta Singh, a resident of village Behoja, District Gurdaspur, a village near the outskirts of the town of Mehta. The police stated that Tarsem was arrested on August 2nd of 2011, and was reportedly intoxicated when he committed the desecration. As is often the case in Punjab, Police statements are rarely verified or corroborated independently.

Initial reports stated that local sevadars from the village they discovered Guru Sahib Ji's Saroop was lying on the ground in the Gurdwara Sahib's main hall, as if it had been intentionally thrown from the Manji Sahib. Upon close examination they found that more than a dozen angs from the Holy Saroop were torn, with a least one ang completely missing.

Guru Granth Sahib Ji Satkar Committee Mukh-sevadar Bhai Balbir Singh Muchhal, Baba Nishan Singh, Sukhpal Singh and Satnam Singh had also reached the scene to get apprised of the situation from the local sangat.

Sadly, this is the second incident of desecration within the last three weeks that has been publicly reported in Punjab. Earlier, on August 12th, culprits in the village of Udhampur Nallan desecrated two Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji by throwing them in a muddy well and pouring alcohol over the Holy Scriptures.

One culprit was reportedly arrested in connection to the Udhampur Nallan incident and currently under Police protection.

Panthic groups are questioning the continued silence and inaction by the ruling Akali Dal Badal government, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to prevent such sacrileges in Punjab's Gurdwaras.

While the Akalis and the SGPC politicans, along with thier newly found partners, the dubious charlatans of the Sant-Samaj seem too busy vying and buying votes for the upcoming SGPC elections, the issue of respect and reverence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji will likely be overlooked and ignored by these 'Thekedars of the Panth' (self-styled Sikh leaders) unless they can gains political mileage out of by raking public emotion.

Akali Dal Mann representatives have stated that this news is incorrect, his actual statement was that those ex-Kharkoos who are siding with Badal are associated with the "govt" and responsible for the death of Bhai Gurjant Singh BhudhSinghwala, and Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar, and he also publicly apologized for taking part in Dhumma's installation ceremony in 2004.

Akali Dal Mann reps are supposed to issue a clarification on this in the next couple of days.

Not at all, Naam Simran is the essence of Gurbani and central to all Sikhs.

I think you misunderstood my post. My point was that the youth of today who associate with certain samperdais and dals are well known to also mock Naam Simran in the same manner, but there is never any reaction at that time.

I think when naastic missionaries and kala-afghanis do something wrong we tend to make a big deal out of it, but when "our own" groups do something we deliberately become silent or ignore it. Look at all the stuff going on in many deras by all these sant babays, went tend to look the other way, this is not right. What is wrong is wrong, who ever does it.

So what is the big deal now? Taksali and Nihang youth have been poking fun at Naam Simran and at Akhand Kirtani Jatha for years.

Those whose hearts are empty and deviod of Naam can never accept the kirpa of Naam for anyone.
