    i keep saying next year next year. im such an <banned word filter activated> i cant beleive myself. I keep saying im gonna start practicing getting up at amritvela, but i aint doin jack, i barely get one japji sahib done nowadys.

    I do that as well, I always say "I will do this" and "I will do that" but i never get round to it! lol.

    But, your doing a fantastic job without knowing it. You’re trying.

    Some people have the time and don't use it, and take each day for granted.

    I respect you for trying, and I’m sure Guru Ji are also happy.

    ive actually only recently started growing my hair and stopped eating meat but i hope to take amrit in the nxt 2 or 3 years

    Some people use Rakhriya as an excuse to visit cousins. Most of our "traditions" are inherited from our elders, and Rakhriya is one of them. But, I see it as an excuse to see me cousins.

    I love my sisters way too much, I don’t need a piece of string to show them that I’ll always be by their side; I was already given that task by Guru Ji.

    Anyways, it’s up to us to decide whether our love for our sisters is worth strings or our hearts.

    Penji, marriage is such a sensitive issue; this can be solved through the family.

    You have to tell your parents how you feel about this dude before you do get married. You have to put your foot down, because what if it doesn’t work out? This may well end in divorce - and that will smother your families’ reputation, and we all know how much our parents value status.

    About your cousin, this is definitely a sensitive issue. Ill tell you how I coped when me gran past away, and maybe you'll find strength in there.

    I think I was about 12 or so, and I walked into the hospital, and walked into her room that she was in, and I saw all my cousins there as well. I didn’t realize why everyone was so sad, I mean, I was thinking "wow all my cousins are here, it’s gonna be fun!"

    Until I actually saw her, I felt the real blow. I started to cry, but me mom held me back.

    When we came home, me mom told me that “you shouldn’t cry, if you cry you’re stopping her from crossing the bridge towards Sachkhand, the more you cry, the more she'll be held back". "So, stop crying, and do paath, do alot of simran, and help her to cross that bridge". After she said that, she said, "Don’t hold her back".

    So, my advice is, talk to your parents, don’t leave it, pick up the courage, be the princess you are.

    This may sound OTT. But, after these incidents have happened, the victims should write the incident down, and say exactly what happened and when it happened. They can also go to the extent of video-taping or photographing the perpetrators.

    After the incident, victims should take a note of the events that happened. Once they have sufficient evidence, show it to the heads of that Gurdwara, and their name will be blackened and condemned, and most importantly; justice will be served. If they think they can get away with harassing penji's, they should think again. Also, it’s a good idea if they can try to avoid being alone in the first place, and go with someone.

    I hope all of the penjis here are safe and sound, but be careful though, and heed my advice.

    If you don’t think you can handle it mentally; try the physical solution.

    Enable your websites blockers.

    Go to your Tools, then Internet Options, once the menu comes up, click on the Content tab at the top. Then disable any pornographic or sexual material.

    Well... there was that one time when I got really drunk in a bar... lol only joking!!

    I don’t see any problem in having the opposite sex as your friends.

    I’m not saying that u should go out on a mission asking gals and guys to be your m8s!! I’m saying; as long as u don’t have a messed up mind and u don’t wana try stuff, then it’s all cool.

    I have just as much gals as I have dudes as friends. Just like Inderpal said, people do get the wrong idea. But as long as u don’t get wrong ideas, then who cares what others think – u can’t please everyone – even if u tried!!

    I mean, just think of it like this, the person you’re going out with may have a bro and a sis. You wouldn’t like it if someone goes out with your bro or sis - I wouldn’t like it if someone was checking my sis. In fact, unless they are serious about each other and are gonna get married; id slit the dude’s throat- sorry for being graphic!!

    But seriously, just keep cool, and remember don’t do something that u wouldn’t like done to yourself. Man I feel old now...
