In this post we want to talk about the interactive and social side of Akaal Vision. We have recently invested into KhalsaSpace.com, which is a facebook type of site for Sikhs. Now you may be wondering what that has to do with Akaal Vision, well the answer to that is, a lot. Now you can view the web version of KhalsaSpace.com online, it isn't complete yet, also it isn't the full version. The full version shall be available on Akaal Vision, which will also have a completely different and better interface. Now we shall tell you why KhalsaSpace is so important for Akaal Vision. Firstly we shall talk about the gaming side of Akaal Vision. The games shall allow you to interact with other people playing them, and say if your friend is playing the same game as you, you will be able to play with them and talk to them. For example, one of the games is a game where you are in a battle with the Mughals and you have to think of strategies with your team. With the social side, you will be able to invite your friends to be part of your team and discuss strategies with them, you will also be able to talk and interact with the enemy and etc. For the tv side of Akaal Vision you will be able to have an interactive service, where you can talk to your friends who are watching the same program as you and do vichaar on it. Also you will be able to invite people to watch what you are watching, or send reminders to your friends of a certain program. On the online version of KhalsaSpace.com you can upload videos and audio. On AkaalVision you will be able to watch or listen to everything on there. Also one of our main features which is only going to be available to the AkaalVision part of KhalsaSpace and not the online version is that there will be vichaar and discussion groups where you will be able to talk via a mic to up to 50 people at a time and do vichaar with them. So for example say if it's a rainy day and you are unable to go gurdwara to do vichaar, or at your gurdwara they don't do vichaar and you want to, all you will need to do is go on Akaal Vision, join a group in your native language and then start discussing with everyone else in the discussion. So it's just like a discussion group at a house program or gurdwara, however it's from the comfort of your own home. This is good for the people who live in areas around the world who don't have a any local vichaar programs, or for people who are just getting into sikhee and want to learn more and discuss more. There can be unlimited discussion groups going off at the same time however a max of 50 people per group (unless stated otherwise). Also from Akaal Vision you will be able to update your status, view photos, add events, write/read sakhees and much more. For the time being you can head over to KhalsaSpace.com and start adding your content so it will already have loads of content for when AkaalVision is released. Also we have also added the following features to Akaal Vision: a pause button to pause live TV, (there is no rewind, or record button, however you can view previous programs on the on demand service), we are working on a subtitle system aswell. KhalsaSpace is not finished yet, however we shall show you all a demo of it once it is, however in the meantime please visit KhalsaSpace.com for the web version which is usable. Also another addition to the social side of Akaal Vision will be SikhSangat.com Forums integration. So you will be able to read and post topics and replies and also get notifications of any topics you have subscribed to. Shall be sending you an email soon Cool, however isnt that like when there were just 5 channels on analogue TV, BBC 1 and 2 ITV1 Channel 4 and 5, and then when they brought in digital TV like Sky and Diamond Cable and etc, someone saying "I'm happy with the current 5 channels, I do not need a choice of more channels like kids channels for the kids, film channels for when I wanto watch a film, news channels to stay up to date on worldly events. Channels 1 - 5 are fine because that's enough for me " The fact is that yes there are currently 3 Sikh related channels only available in Europe at the moment, however there's still not much choice. In today's world there needs to be more. When kids come back from school, most of them will chose not to watch the 3 current Sikh channels and watch something like Disney or CBBC (depending on there age of course). So why not give them the choice of Sikhi kids channels which will air shows like scooby doo, south park and etc but will base it on sikhi so they will learn something about sikhee at the same time as enjoying a funny cartoon or show. Or if your thinking of renting a film out for the fammily to watch then you will have the choice to watch a sikhi related movie for free. If you wanto stay on top of the news you can and etc. Basically its just like normal TV however Sikhi related, it gives you a choice of what you want to watch and when you want to watch it, its not limited to a few channels which most of the time show similar things. What would you rather people do, change the channel to a non sikhee related channel when there is nothing they wanto see on the current ones and watch something that will just pollute there minds, or give them a choice to watch just as good programs and channels however learn about sikhi at the same time? We are not saying anything bad about the current 3 channels, they are amazing, they shall all also hopefully be on Akaal Vision, one of them is already confirmed to be on Akaal Vision and have decided to help us with this project and the other 2 we haven't heard from yet.. However people need more choice, also these channels are only available in countries where sky is available in Europe, Akaal Vision shall be available worldwide, so in the countries where they dont even have one Sikh TV channel they can enjoy what the rest of UK and some Europe countries do at the moment. So countries like USA, Canada, Kenya, India, Jamaica and etc will get to enjoy what the rest of us currently do Also like we said before, this is not just a TV network, it shall also be a games console and have many apps on it aswell, so people will be able to play games similar to GTA and etc however learn about sikhi at the same time as having fun. Vaheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Vaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh! You have heard of Sky, you've heard of Virgin Media, you may even have heard of the DISH Network, well now its time for Akaal Vision! Have your own Akaal Satellite Dish and Box and watch 100's different Sikhi TV channels! Channels include; kids channels, news channels, kirtan channels, vichaar channels, sports channels, gurbanee channels, and much more! Will be available world wide. Akaal Vision is not only TV, it is also a games console. Sikhee based games will be available to download from the box's app store, the games will have the option to be played with a Wii like remote or a normal games controller depending on the game. Akaal vision will also have a number of apps availble to download including gurbanee search apps, Hukamana app and much more. We will have a developer platform so developers can build there own 3rd party apps. Akaal Vision Features: To begin with over 100 channels Over 50 Radio Channels The network currently has the capacity to air 899 channels On demand service for channels that wish to have it A channel guide and planner An interactive service Sikhee based games Sikhee based apps Get updates to the latest Sikhee events and news Available worldwide Portable tablet on the go version will be available soon after as well, so you may watch Akaal Vision or access the apps on the go wherever you are. Here we shall explain the different channel categories in order. To start off with the first category will be the general category which will have the channels which will show everything, news, kirtan, gurbanee, kids and etc. These channels shall be aired from channel 101 - 199. After the genreal category we will have the folowing categories; Lifestyle - This will include vege/vegan cooking channels, how to make your own clothes (e.g. banaa, kacherai etc), how to make your own shahstar and many more lifestyle type channels. These channels shall be aired from channel 200 - 299. Education - This will include history channels, learning gurbanee and kirtan, learning punjabee and etc. These channels shall be aired from channel 300 - 399. Sports - sports channels will include gatka, martial arts, and etc. These channels shall be aired from channel 400 - 499. Movies - The movie channels shall air sikhee related movies and trailers for upcoming movies. These channels shall be aired from channel 500 - 599 Music/Audio - This shall be all the kirtan channels, which shall include Raag, traditional, and western kirtan channels. Also 24 hours simran channels. These channels shall be aired from channel 600 - 699 Gurbanee - This shall include Akhand paath channels, Dasam banee channel, and other 24 hour Gurbanee channels. These channels shall be aired from channel 700 - 799 Live - This will include live event channels and also live video feeds from Gurdwara's around the world. These channels shall be aired from channel 800 - 899 Kids - This will have kids channels, with kids sikhee related cartoon channels and etc. These channels shall be aired from channel 900 - 999 Radio - We will have radio channels however we are going to set a limit of no more than 55 Radio channels on the system, the reason being this will free up space for visual TV channels. At the moment we are only accepting channels that have already got a channel, either online or on TV. Starting from the end of next month we shall start accepting people who would like to build there own channels using our platform.
