  1. I am not sure what is the matter but I can put you in contact with a person who might help you out. Will that help?

You can also try to get in touch with anyone who belongs to Badal party as both are good friends of Badal.

Can I contact you by PM. Are you located in US. I can pm you my number and then call you if that is ok. I actually am trying to contact them because they are located in USA. Mr. Didar Singh Bains is currently visiting India. I would be very grateful to you if you can help me out. I don't think i know anyone who knows anyone in the Badal party. My uncle is gurdwara pradhan in india but i dont think even he would be hand in glove with someone in the Badal party.

But any help will be highly appreciated and remembered and passed on.

  2. They are all Buzurgs. Mr. Didar Singh Bains is an eighty year old man whereas others are 70 year old. I don't expect them to be on facebook. I did try though. I didn't find them.

They are all politically active. I am sure there would be at least one Sikh Sangat reader who knows or can advise me how to contact them. Tried calling Yuba city gurdwara and Brookfield gurdwara. No one answered the phone.

I really expect some help man. This is very urgent.

  3. Hi Sikhsangat ji,

I would really be grateful to you if you could guide me as to how I can contact Mr. Darshan Singh Dhaliwal

and Mr. Deedar Singh Bains "Peach King" of California

    .

I would appreciate any help in this regard.

    This is very urgent.

    Thanks.

I misspelt the second name. Mr. Didar Singh Bains.

  4. Cos we are more pro Sikh than Sikhs in India and know a million times more than they do about 1984

What does Being proSikh have to do with Knowing the truth .

Being More pro sikh will only increase the chances of looking at things with a prejudiced outlook .

If organising pro - Khalistan movements is what you mean by being pro-sikh , then you must know that you are able to do this because the UK Constitution gives you the Freedom To do so . All the martyrs were born and bred in UK. It makes me laugh to see the way you quantify such things . Only a person who is evolved knows that he is not always right .

  5. It's such a huge shame you didn't see Salvation and feel Mast/Crazy in seeing Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaaj ....

All this has been romanticized by Bollywood movies For example Saif ali khan meets his paramour in a gurdwara in Love aaj Kal ,salman khan meets preity zinta in a gurdwara in Heroes-Lets get our Heroes Home , Bobby deol meets mehak in a gurdwara .

  6. So what does this all mean ? Should we stop marrying and take an oath of celibacy for the rest of our lives . Should we lay dust on the saying behind every successful man there is a woman .Should u stop expecting some one to share in your good times and motivate you when u r facing a tuf time . Comeon Guys. Bahut ho gaya .

  7. I was always told since childhood to be afraid of God. That doesn't meant to be a coward or start whimpering in fear when there was a clap of thunder in the sky, lol. Just respect His "bhaana" and do what you need to do in life.

I'm sure someone understands what I'm trying to say.

I grew up watching a lot of "Rocky " movies and others in which we are taught about the virtues of resolve , patience, honesty, standing up for truth and determination . When i grew up , i realized that children have to unlearn a lot of things that they learnt when they were small to survive in this world

  8. This is my own personal experience and I am sure most of you will agree to it :

People who have more faith on God than themselves are usually the ones who mostly don't go anywhere in life .. On the other hand , people who take it on their own shoulders and don't give credit or blame to God for their failing or success are usually the ones who are living PRACTICAL lives in my opinion . These days , I can't really care any more for what God wants me to do ! Relying on God has never helped me considerably so as to speak ! I am not a complete atheist , but the thing is that I am 21 and a half and in a couple of years I may find myself in a position where I will have to struggle real hard to find in a decent job and the ghar-grihasti thing starts from there on ... this is depressing to even think of ! Eyeroll.png Where will God be in all this picture ? Are you even getting what I am trying to say here ?

But , on the other hand , life without a higher being to look for you sounds depressing also !

Belief in God sounds like a means of escapism from challenges of life , whereas without god and spirituality in your life, it maybe become boring and tasteless !

    what should I do ?

PS : I am expecting practical replies please

This makes sense . I don't know how some people go to the extent of leaving matters of finding soul-mates to the divine .But people who dont go anywhere in life are the ones who blame God .People who have tried all that they could are the ones who are waiting for some miracle to Happen

PS However Practical you may try to be , Aspirations, dreams and desires are all supposed to be made of stuff that is unrealistic

  9. There is nothing as soulmate. Not at one but hundred places in bani guru ji mentions. you are alone no one will go or help you after death other then your actions.

How come that thing is called soul mate which will leave you as soon as your soul leaves your body ?

The only soul mate is gurbani and naam simren even daan puun seva sambhal ie karama will not go with you in next life forget about people.

I read in one of oshos books that goes by the name of "Courage" , in which He writes about how a king desirous of writing his name on a huge mountain in heaven as a token of glory spends his entire life winning battles and defeating other kings. On his deathbed he expresses his last wishes to his wives . He asks his wives to accompany him to heaven and see him attain glory by writing his name on the golden mountain . All his wives abandon him . Only his minister and his faithful dog agree to accompany him . At the gates of heaven his dog and his vizier are stopped from entering and sent back to earth . Only the kill enters the gates and asks to write his name on the golden mountain . The gatekeeper laughs at him and send him to the mountain . When the king sees the mountain from far , he realizes that there is no one to see him attain glory . Sorrowfully the king reaches the mountain and finds that there is space left to write his name in . The entire mountain is filled up. Then he realizes his folly and regrets that he spent his life running after something that is just a mirage .

  10. On a sidenote, painde khan wasnt a friend of GuruJi . He was the favorite soldier of guruji and GuruJi used to patronize him .GuruJi taught him sword fighting and archery . Painde Khan was a mercenary and he had sworn to Kill GuruJi .

  11. Where's the guy who posts in Panjabiglish? I'd love to hear his take on this situation.

    wheres _terichapedmaaran_ ?

    anyways way to go ?

Je aasi aiwe karan lap paye te baaki duniya ki karoogi ? My blood boils to see non sikhs coming to gurdwara to ogle at chicks

how can a paagi or pehenji tell u abt the chick ?

  12. In Punjabi, the word for brother is Bhaji ( not Paaji) . Sarbjeet S is right in that in Punjabi speech the word Paaji is generally used for father, or grandfather. It seems that people born in U.K, who mainly speak English, have difficulty in pronouncing Punjabi sound "Bh" correctly. They often pronounce the "Bh" sound as "P" sound. So they also tendto write it as they hear and pronounce it. Quite a few of them write "Bhaji" (Bhaaji) as "Paaji" and "Bhenji" (sister) as "penji".

Sometime back a linguist explained to me that Punjabi speech is aspirated and is tonal (one of the very few languages that are aspirate and tonal). But most other languages – English for example, are accentual. An English speaker is so used to accentuating the words that in so doing he finds it hard to slightly aspirate as well. When the words are accentuated, there is not enough time for aspirating the word.

So Sarbjeet S when someone from UK says Paaji and writes Paaji, he means "Bhaji"

and what about sikhs in India/Canada/Norway/Ausetc. Are sikhs in Uk different from sikhs in India or elsewhere !

  13. pleased to meet u as well , sir !

Don't wait for God or anything to offer you a job ... I say the earlier you break this stagnant inertia barrier , the better is it for you .

I am telling you from my experience , Trust me , you may one day regret you wasted so much thinking rather than actually going outside and getting a job !

My post was addressed to the Original Poster .Quoted ur post by Mistake

Another reason why i left the place was that i was getting the feeling that i was just another cog in the wheel who made no particular difference. Easily replaceable and given little innovative work.I am trying to change my industry instead of getting into the same crap again
