  1. To be honest... I got the books by mail today!!!

I just wanted to see if anyone had read it.

Anyway, i was looking to the pictures and I noticed something.

In the first part there is a picture of Sant Naranjan Singh Jee taking in a Sant meeting in 1975. On this photo stands Sant Kartar Singh Jee of Damdami Taksal. According to the book the father of Baba Jarnail Singh Jee Bhindranwale stands along them, and also Harchand Singh Longowal.

Altough i can see the father of Baba Jarnail Singh Jee i can't see Harchand Singh Longowal anywere!

    take a look..... :TH:

  2. Gurfateh!

    WJKF,

The problem is that many Sikhs also see him as a terrorist (thx to hindostan)

But everything he said was true. The Sikhs were and still are slaves of India. The thing was that not the whole Panth believed him, only after '84 their eyes opened. Sadly only for a few years because today many are sleeping again, really sadly.

The Khalsa Panth was fallen into a deep slumber and thx to Sant Bhindranwale many woke up.

In Gaddar they talk like a hindu is a sikh and a sikh is a hindu.

I dont know where in the movie but a person is saying "you can change into a hindu for him but he can not becom a muslim for you?"

also, on the end this so called Sikh gives up his Sikhi Dharm for the Islam but he can not cheat india for pakistan.

Well, what is more important for a Sikh? Being A GurSikh or being a Good Indian?

Did anyone see the old movie "Vegita" ? Its a very good movie about a Sardar who wants to be a soldier or something. His father is a fake Sikh will his mother is a Hindu. Very good story, links with the partition and the person who is playing the Sardar has a full beard and pug.

    A good movie.

First off al you if you want to "judge" Sant Jarnail Singh you musnt look at his fight at the Darbar Sahib first.

    Look what he did before.

He woke the sleeping Khalsa. A Khalsa that was living like a sheep under its shepherd. By Guru's kirpa he transform the sheep’s into lions.

India well knew that if the Khalsa would be awoken, no one can break them, no one.

So when Sant Ji was doing his seva for the Sikh Panth the sarkari of India was getting afraid that they would lose their "grip" on the Singhs.

They tried everything to demolish Sant Ji. They told so many lies! Why would believe a government that’s not even punishing people who killed thousands of Sikhs in Delhi? Why would you believe a government who is making constitution by calling us long haired Hindus?

Instead that we unity and fight against them we are trying to get idiots points to break our own leader who give everything for the Sikh Panth, for us.

When the Indian army entered Punjab they thought that Sant Ji and the Singhs would give their Kirpaans back and would stand or their knees waiting when the army would arrest them. But no, the Singhs fought so bravely like only the Fauj of Akaal Purkh can do!

Like A.R Darshi wrote in the Gallant Defender: "Numerical strength of the Sikh militants was also miserably insignificant in comparison of the Indian army. The Sikh fighters were not more than two hundred whereas the Army's numerical strength fighting them in the Complex was at least seven thousand. (..)

The Sikh fighters were totally cut of from the state, the country and the world. (..)

Supply of electricity and water was cut of. They had no reserves to reinforce their positions. They had nothing to eat but roasted grains, nothing to drink but their own sweat oozed from their bodies due the scorching heat. They could not sleep for seven days and seven nights. They were exhausted and weared out under these horrible conditions. On the other hand the Indian army had all sort of provisions, facilities, reserves and what not. Yet the Sikhs fought gallantly and demonstrated their remarkable valour, courage and fighting skill. Yet they held the well equipped army at bay for five days and gave it a bloody reply, the reply which the Army would remember forever.

Had the militants been equally armed, had their numerical strength been even on-tenths of the Indian Army, they would have pushed the Army up to Delhi or even beyond Jamuna."

  7. wow thank you so much everyone, this is more than i excepted!! lol. sure i can use those photos as sources. so from parts i just read ( i too will print out at college and read fully) i guess there was probably some censorship of what Bhindranwale what really like yeh? and the government prehaps made him out to be a terrorist? i have the book the gallant defender, but unfortunalty because it was written by Sikhs, the source would be consideed bias, and as part of my c/w task, i have to look at both sides of the argument. ... oh, also could anyone maybe give me a summary of yhe atmoshpere in India, Panjab during the time leading up to Operation Bluestar...i mean the hostility towards sikhs? and why this hostility occurred? thank you so much brothers and sisters, this helps me sooooo much  thumbs_up.gif

  8. fully agree with mr singh sahib,

hawaien has protrayed the true picture of that time and aslo higlighted the role of pakistan

pakistan did;t honestly supported the movement, their main intrest was in kashmir, they used punjab just to divert the attention of indian govenrmtn from kashmir to punjab

and aslo it is true fact that in those days way back in punjab , there were many gangs operating like gangsters in punjab,  these gangs were introduced by punjab police to manipulate the images of singhs , and to cut down the sympathy of coman mass from pro khalistani activitist. they were called cats

    86430[/snapback]

Yes some things are true. Those black cats were active.

But the film isnt quiet fare. The film begins after operation bluestar. the clean shaven Sikh actor is dancing around and chasing girls, nowhere you can feel or see something about operation bluestar.

then the pogroms begins and the sikhs go mad, killing inocent people, sardars wit pugs are criminals, sikhs kidnapping people, they even forget the police brutality.

Well if you really want to know his story you have to read articles, books etc. You must read the stories of both sides. But I can inform your that many articles are creating a negative image of Sant Bhindranwale.

    This is my opinion.

Is he a terrorist? I really don’t think so. Just look to the picture. In 1977 he became the head of Dam Dami Taksal and within 7 years he became India’s most wanted man.

Why was he so “wanted”? Because he killed hundreds op people? Because he created hate? Or a exodus among the Hindus in Punjab like many books say? He was a anti-nationalist?

The real thing is that the Sikhi was in a deep slumber. Many blame the Indian government for this but I think the problem was intern.

When India got its freedom the Sikhs were cheated after. Look when the Sikh leaders were fighting for Punjabi suba etc. there wasn’t much support among the Sikh masses, not like the 80s when Bhindranwale launched a couple of Morchas.

Noticing that the Sikhs were sleeping the Indian government took some sinister moves to silence the Sikhs forever by dubbing us to a “sect” within Hinduism . They changed the constitution, they were sponsoring fake Guru’s in Punjab and they divided Punjab, plus the fact that they got their support from the Punjabi Hindus who claimed that Hindi was their language and not Punjabi.

These things were going on in Punjab from the 50s until late 70s. Look the Indian government was successful. Inch by inch they took away the Sikh religion, its culture and its lands. I think most of the Sikhs didn’t feel attacked at all! Look who won the war for India against Pakistan?

I think that only the few GurSikhs left knew what the government were doing but what could they do? The Akali party was in hands of the government and plus they didn’t had the personality to awake the Sikhs.

It was Sant Bhindranwale who awake the Sikh people, it was he who transformed normal Sardars who where getting drunk in the night dancing Bhangra until the morning and were shouting Hindustan zindabad into True Khalsa’s of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Slowly the Sikhs were becoming more attached to Sikhi. Sant Bhindranwale travelled to many cities preaching the messages of the Guru’s. He didn’t create trouble at all. He told the Sikhs that they should live with pride in India and not as long haired Hindus like many people were calling the Sikhs.

He told them if they were united under the Nishaan no one could harm the Sikh nation, not even the Indian government.

The government well knew that if the Sikh nation would live in their finest way they could brake down any government who is trying to silence them.

It was in this situation that the government planned a attack against the Golden Complex with an excuse to capture Bhindranwale and his followers.

When they succeeded and Bhindranwale died, the media lied many things about him. So many things that nowadays many Sikhs also believe that he was a terrorist.

Most of the freedom fighters died in the struggle for justice so no one really can defend him.

Luckily as the time goes one people are writing new books about the true story behind Sant Bhindranwale.

Was he a terrorist? No he wasn’t. Time will tell when the whole world will know this fact.
