Spread the word to the 100s of Sikh Men and Women who have funded directly or indirectly the activities of this man. Tell them they have been conned and have effectively unknowingly been contributing to the undermining of Sikhi.

If the fad has not already worn off then we need the people to stop subscribing to his programs and stop buying his media.

    RSS backing Ramdev: Chidambaram

    Tribune News Service

    New Delhi, June 8

Home Minister P Chidambaram today conveyed a stern message to yoga guru Ramdev, virtually drawing a ‘Laxman Rekha’ on his proposed actions while ‘exposing’ his links with the radical right-wing outfit, the Rashtriya Swayam Sevaksangh (RSS).

The Home Minister, who has a no-nonsense image, responded to Ramdev’s alarming call to form an ‘armed force’ saying “by making that statement, he has exposed his true colours and true intentions. Let him do so and the law will deal with that”.

Joining in to condemn Ramdev, V Narayanswamy, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, said: “It is anti-national and we have to take action”.

The Congress joined the chorus and questioned not just Ramdev’s announcement of formation of an armed force, it also asked the BJP to explain if it supported the formation of the 11,000-strong force proposed by the yoga guru.

Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan said Ramdev’s statement was unconstitutional and questioned Sushma Swaraj for her presence at Haridwar at the time Ramdev made his announcement and asked her to explain whether they (BJP) were supporting the plan.

Even Anna Hazare’s team disassociated itself from this plan. We do not support this (Ramdev’s announcement of forming an armed wing). All protests have to be non-violent,” Arvind Kejriwal told reporters here.

In what could define the support, or the lack of it, to Ramdev in the future, the Home Minister gave a written backgrounder on the yoga guru’s links with the RSS saying, the government had taken note of the resolution passed by the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, a front organisation of the RSS, in March this year at Puttur, Karnataka.

The RSS announced the formation of an “anti-corruption front” with Ramdev as its patron and KN Govindacharya as its convenor. On May 12 the ABVP floated an organisation - “Youth Against Corruption” - to coordinate with Ramdev. On May 20, Suresh Joshi of the RSS issued a circular to all swayamsevaks to render all possible cooperation to Ramdev’s campaign. Similar instructions were issued on May 28 by Ashok Singhal of VHP.

“This is not an agitation by a yoga guru. This is a political agitation fully backed by the RSS. We will allow peaceful protests but we will not allow anything that will trigger a conflagration,” Chidambaram had told national broadcaster Doordarshan in an interview this afternoon.

He went on to dismiss suggestions that there were differences between the government and the Congress in dealing with Ramdev’s anti-corruption campaign. “We don’t have an Arun Jaitley-Sushma Swaraj dual act in our party and the government,” he said.

I was watching the video being played repeatedly on Sikh Channel last night and something doesn't seem right.

Any normal turban wearing Singh would have been extremely angry over having his turban removed. It was as though the whole thing was staged???

The turbaned policeman at the beginning of the clip said " pag na la-ee" so was that a cue to the non-turbaned officer to remove the turban? And the relative

ease with which the turban slipped off was a little odd, don't you think?

It looks awfully suspect considering that there is an international cricket match taking place where there will be International Press coverage. Is this an attempt

to stir up Sikhs in Punjab so that they can be labelled as trouble makers again??

Maybe Sikhs in Punjab should be on the watch out for further foul play that may put them into the International limelight! If any of you have got contacts there then please

    pass this on.

  3. no no i think u have misunderstood what i ask. My question was is a sant able to see ur future and past and how duki u are from just looking at u and just ur name? no date of birth nothing else.

and only give u bani to read then should one go back to them after they told u for certain period, but didnt say come back. should u go back yourselves?

It is possible for a sant to find out some info from your name only because they look at the letters and do some internal calculations (whilst reciting some bani in their head). If the sant has revealed something that only you know about yourself then yes go back and check out what else he/she can tell you. But the minute he starts adding strange twists into it or starts demanding money or other favours then step away.

  4. It is possible for a learned person (mystic) to use a name and date of birth to get key information about someone, but other tools have to be used to get a more accurate reading.

The mystic, if he is Gurmukh will have to either develop their psychic ability through Gurbani or be given the gift by a Mahapursh. In reality Everyone is born with psychic power but as we grow up and get trapped into the maya of the world we end up limiting ourselves.

There are people out there who have de-mystified Sikhi because they have read a few books and have listened to someone's opinion.

There are those people who say that a Gursikh shouldn't turn to anything other than Gurbani, however I am of the opinion that Gurbani alone would only work if the Gursikh is VERY PURE (KHALSA) and untouched by Kalyug. I am afraid to say that such Gursikhs are few and far between if non-existent.

  5. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Please do not understimate the power of the art of Jyotish. I think as Gursikhs we are told not to believe in superstitions (that is what Bhai Gurdaas Ji is alluding to). People often confuse superstition with astrology because those who make money out the art actually want to set confusion so that they get return business.

A form of Astrology is actually used by certain Gursikh Mahapursh who are genuinely helping humanity without making money from it. They usually have brahm gyan and with a few details about individual(s), i.e. DOB, name, place of birth, time of birth, they can focus their energy to find out more about the individual(s).

We must view Astrology as a very helpful TOOL that is actually very helpful in this dark age of Kalyug. If you are having problems in your life, e.g. marriage, kids, job etc, then, so long as the astrologer you visit has a high spiritual elevation and recommends Bani as part of the remedy, it can't be bad to seek assistance from them.

These people are few a far between.

I, being an Amritdhari Gursikh who believes in Guru Granth Sahib, Guru Panth and the 10 Living Gurus, have regular contact with such an elevated Gursikh par-aupkari and he has helped in a big way but not for a charge or anything in return. Even after taking Amrit I was having issues that one would normally think should not happen, but with a little help we were able to identfy that the root cause of the issues was as a result of past karams and that I still had a long stretch to go before my life would change for the better. I have been instructed to wear a rashi and to perform certain acts of charity and to recite certain Gurbani. I can tell you that this has worked for me. There is power in it.

Just like Yoga can be used as a TOOL to aid our physical existence so too can astrology help us to make greater sense of the happenings in our lives and the world around us. It has transformed my life for the better.
