I don't care whether what they're saying is true or not, the video overall promotes hatred and ignorance.

The two guys on there are talking from experience. One is a non Muslim who grew up in Saudi Arabia, and is one a non Muslim who was born in Luton and still lives there.

I don't disagree with your statement whatsoever. However, some Sikhs lack belief and are not very Philosophical. However, if you give them the hard historical facts then that alone will draw them to what Shabads the Gurus left us with, those Gurus who lead such Truthful, Courageous, Compassionate lives!!!

You need a balance of both.

Personally, I think history comes before shabad (unless, you're one of the lucky ones whose heart gets peirced by a shabad just on hearing it).

Only, I think if somebody knows even basic Sikh History (the History of the Gurus) then you know the shabad is going to mean something!!!

History isn’t belief or philosophy both of which are at the core of religion.

It seems to me that it's the Sikh Girls who lack knowledge of their Sikh History & Religion that fall prey to these predators!

So if a Girl can't 9 to 19yrs, who can't speak Punjabi (or speaks very basic punjabi), goes to the Gurdwara with her Parents on a Sunday morning, what will she understand about her religion or History? If it's only available in High level educated Punjabi?

Why isn't there Parchaar at the Gurdwara in English on a Sunday Morning?? As part of the Parchaar in English a few dozen Gurmukhi words could be translated every Sunday. That way each Sunday the english speaking Sikhs would walk away knowing more Gurmukhi words, each week, not to mention understand something too, before it's too late!!

Have you seen the Parchaar where a Gursikh/Giani reads a sentence of Paath, and then a 2nd Giani translates into in Punjabi. This keeps going on sentence after sentence! Wouldn't it be brilliant if the 1st Gursikh/Giani read the paath, and then 2nd Giani transalated it into Punjabi, and then a 3rd Giani translated the sentence into English!!!

Why is English excluded on a Sunday Morning from the Gurdwara, even though we know full well that the majority of British Born Sikhs can't understand the high level educated Punjabi the Gianis speak????????????????

The best way I have found is personally is educating girls on the present Sikh Struggle on 1984 , that gives them a sense of identity and security as long as you be direct on the threat from Hindustan and the need for freedom from Sikhs from there move on to the UK Threats Muslims,Hindus marrying our girls and using and abusing them once you do that they will understand how weak we are as a community and most realise the need to be pro Sikh and to stay in Sikhi ,girls who don't even want to know ,well what can we do ? Show them a few videos of Sikhs being slaughtered from 1984 to the present day make them aware of their separate identity ,make them proud of their shaheeds ,make them realise we are a fighting nation fighting for freedom.

For a start any Sikh who sees him as Holy man needs to go back a read our scripture and philopshy. We don’t deal with self styled holy men (which include bogus Babars), we have Gurus and God.

In my eyes Ramdev is not holy man, I see him as a fitness trainer and some who could help with certain illness or health. and that’s it.

The BBC doesn't always define the term 'Asian', so we become the prey of Hate crime.

When the BBC report Pakistani grooming gangs they always report them as “Asian” this is an injustice to us, Chinese, Thai people and everyone else who us asian.

When you challenge the BBC on the subject like in the letter below they struggle to give a real answer, but if we withdraw ourselves from the term Asian then they will have to be specific.

Dear Sir/Madam. I wish to make a complaint about your use/abuse of the descriptive term "Asian" to generalise anyone from the continent of Asia and the sub continent of India.

It would seem that your use of the term is typically one of negativity when a particular group is in the news for reasons other than socially and culturally conducive reasons.

Many people are upset at the generalised term "Asian" when most of the population of the minorities who do come from the continent of Asia and the Indian Sub continent do not use this term.

Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, Chinese, Vietnamese, Burmese are all Asian, they can all be described under the terms of Asian and it is in my opinion quite wrong to generalise such a diverse swathe of people in this broad, sweeping inaccurate term.

It is something I feel that is in danger of creating a broad distrust of minorities in general. If one community is in the news for criminal and public order issues then they should be described specifically.
