  1. What Changed Qazi Noor Mohammad's Mind?

Qazi Noor Mohammad's name is well known in Sikh history due to his eye witness account of Sikhs fighting Abdali and giving him crushing defeat in 1765. He came with Abdali from Afghanistan to India. He was a fanatic Muslim engrossed in religious animosity and bigotry. He hated all non-Muslims and spewed his hatred towards those who opposed the tyrant Muslim rule. He wrote about the Sikhs using most hateful and insulting words he could find in a language. Even then he couldn't keep away from mentioning Sikhs' bravery. He writes:

"When they take up a musket in hand at the time of battle, they come to the field fiercely springing and roaring like lions and immediately split many a breast and make they blood of many others spill in the dust. You may say that this musket was invented by these dogs (Sikhs). Though guns are possessed in large numbers by others, yet nobody knows them better. These bad-tempered people discharge hundreds of bullets on the enemy on the right and left and in front and on the back. If you disbelieve in what I say, enquire from the brave warriors who will tell you more than what I have said and would have nothing but praise for their art of war. The witness of my statement are those thirsty thousand heroes who fought with them."

In the above quotes, he calls Sikhs "dogs" and doesn't even consider them moral human beings. He calls them brave because only thirty Sikhs fought against thirty thousand Pathans yet he doesn't show any likeness towards the Sikhs. Then something happens and he writes:

"Do not call the Sikhs dogs, because they lions and are brave like lions in the battlefield. How can a hero of the battle who fights like a lion be a dog? If you cherish the desire to learn the art of war; come before them in the field. They will show you such wonderful feats of war. O, Swordsman! if you want to learn the modes of fighting, learn from them how to face the foe like a hero and how to come unscathed from the battle. You may be knew that their title is Singh and it is injustice to call them dogs. O, youth! If you are ignorant of the Hindi language (I can tell you that) the meaning of Singh is lion."

One wonders how all of the sudden, the Qazi is praising Sikhs and takes his insulting remarks back. It wasn't simply the bravery of the Sikhs which changed his perspective because he had already witnessed it when he first entered Punjab. What changed his mind was his personal experience with the Sikhs. It happened when the Afghan army was resting at a place and preparing to fight the Sikhs. Qazi Noor Mohammad was taking a walk and wandering just outside the circles of the pitched tents when he noticed that a small group of Sikhs appeared on the scene and were getting ready for a guerilla attack. Qazi Noor Mohammad quickly hid himself in the bushes and started observing the Sikhs. Shouting "Sat Sri Akal" Sikhs withdrew their swords and attacked the first tent. As soon as they entered, all of the Sikhs just froze with their swords still in the air. To their surprise they had entered the tent of Muslim women. All of the women (as described by Qazi) were most beautiful, wearing gold, diamonds and pearls. Qazi thought these "kafirs" (Sikhs) would not spare any woman and their dishonor was a sure thing. On the other hand, the Sikhs put the swords back in the sheaths and their jathedar said, "Khalsa Ji, this is the tent for women. Let's go from here and attack the army. No woman is to be touched." Saying this, the Sikhs exited the tent leaving women unharmed and attacked the next tent. In no time, they killed many of the Afghans and took away ammunitions and rations. By the time the rest of the army arrived the Sikhs had disappeared in thick jungle. Everyone was left dumbfounded.

Qazi Noor Mohammad was so impressed by the character and valor of the Sikhs that he showered words of praise about them in his work. He called them true Singhs not "dogs" and considered them the true rulers of Punjab. He is astonished by the fact that there is not a single thief in their group nor is there anyone who commits adultery and takes intoxicants. They have no greed for gold, diamonds and money. They are not appeased by worldly pleasures and they consider no one their "own" enemy. They respect all women alike. Every Sikh used to call a woman "buddhi" (old aged woman) regardless of her age. This shows why Sikhs were praised even by their worst enemy. It was their character, bravery, honesty and most important of all faithfulness to Gurmat (path of the Guru) that earned them the respect. As long as Sikhs live by the principles of Sikhi, they will be praised by the entire world and one day will establish true 'halemi raaj' and guide the humanity to the path of ultimate peace. May Guru Sahib be forever on their side. Guru Rakha

were did you get this info from

  2. bollywood pisses me off but these sikhs that we protesting these types of movies piss me off even more you watched the whole movie and the only thing you have a problem with is the fuckin beard <banned word filter activated> i feel like punching them when they say they have a problem with the movie then after the producers make the beard bigger (which degrades sikhi even more) we see the protesters shaking hands with the actors and directors

  3. Ha ha!

No one is going to take this blatant arse kissing seriously are they?

It's like some obnoxious kid in a playground trying hard to get liked by others by being bitchy about another kid. lol

On the plus side, maybe such pressure will make certain pendu elders think twice about getting over excited and using kirpans in Gurdwara conflicts.....

    ...actually I doubt it will...

sorry dal singh i acendently gave your post a -1 by mistake

  4. Khalsa raj is not facism. But the idea people have of it is; just to clarify I have met Sikhs who want to kill Hindus and Muslims to form a universal world dominated khalistan universal intercontinental state, having Punjab as the capital (basing hatred on more hatred- "blood for blood"). Not the state of a peaceful world with sarbat da pala in mind. And I am not against Khalistan, your responses indicates your own states of mind be it as it may. This whole idea of hate, raging anger, and intense ego just kills our own dharma. That being said within Sikhs themselves have the belief of world domination is not just isolated to this set of people (there are more pinkys out there from "pinky and the brain - cartoon"), we have Muslims who are speading hatred through the same message, so did as the Nazi (with anti-semiticism), now neo-nazi parties (http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Neo-Nazism) such as the BNP and skin heads have a facist idea.

Sikhs are not the first people to dream of a Utopia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utopia). Sikhism has left its mark on the world through ideas such as equality in hierarchy which came post-french revolution ("Raeni rahai soiee Sikh mera, ohu Sahib mai uska chera. He is a Sikh who follows the discipline/teachings, he is my master and I his slave."), additionally Guru Tegh Bahadurs martydom for the right to practice religion. These ideals now exist with basic Human rights.

So what I am saying is We are all Human, there are good and bad people in all religions all types of people everywhere, do not judge and sterotype people (http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Stereotype), just because a few people are nutters, this does not directly mean "there people" are all the same. Lets stop fuelling the fire of racism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racism). Separatism (http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Separatism) is an issue which can only be solved by social integration (http://www.ehow.com/...ntegration.html), so go make friends with all. Even though it is human nature to dismiss and hate what we do not understand, being knowledge and people; [which is another state of ego itself]. We all need more interfaith dialogue.

There are good Muslims, good Sikhs, good Hindus, good "White-Indigenous-British (according to Nick G.)" out there, stop living in a world of hate come into peaceful mindsets and live your chardi khala experience. Also the raj which was formed by Hari Singh Nalwa, Akali Phoola Singh is an excellent example of what secularist (http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Secularity) state should be like, giving equal places in power to Hindus, Muslims, even european gentlemens within the state, Punjab has always been a multi-ethnically, multi-racial, multi-linguistic, multi-religious society, which is what Britian has now evolved to become.

Just to define Fascism so you understand what it is...

      1. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.
      2. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government.
      3. Oppressive, dictatorial control.

Das does sarbhat da pala ardas, so bless everyone

You shouldn't paint all khalistanis with the same brush I am pro-khalistan but I still respect Islam and all of the khalistan shaheeds did too

  5. This Ron Banerjee guy is a lunatic no one takes him seriously hes also said no pilgrims were killed in bluestar , no innocents were killed in the delhi riots only terrorists by brave hindus ,that no innocents were killed in the the gujarat riots only muslim terrorists by brave hindus and also that no innocent christians were killed in india only fundamentalists and hes also said that India has the best human rights record on the planet

  6. Hindus in general are not the enemies of Khalistan stupid people like simranjit mann are trying to create hindu-sikh divide and play into the hands of pakistani govt isi to get support. a viable Khalistan can only happen with the support of Hindu's. And Sikh history is filled with alliances between Sikhs and Hindu's who worked together to fight the non-indigenous Islamic invading hordes.

There are 2 possibilities for a viable Khalistan.

    1) India union and Pakistan break up through revolutions and pre-1947 borders punjab along with other area's across northern india becomes part of khalistan with the backing of muslims, hindus and Sikhs.

    2) Vatican city style Khalistan state is formed within the Indian Union that is autonomous to run its own affairs but doesn't pose a security threat to the Indian Govt and furfils the promise of Nehru who had promised an area of north India where Sikhs could "experience the glow of freedom". This option is more doable and would be compromise win win situation for majority of Indian and Khalistan nationalists.

True Hindus are not the enemies of khalistan Brahmins are Simranjit Mann isnt stupid hes not trying to create a hindu-sikh divide show me one of his speeches where he incites hatred against hindus infact hes always respectfull to hindus and hinduism all he does is point out the injustices done to to the Sikhs and asks for self determination was Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale trying to create a hindu-sikh divide aswell??? Sikh history is filled with battles between Sikhs and Hindus who sold there daughters to non-indigenous Islamic invading hordes and Hindus have been betraying Sikhs for hundreds of years
