Vaahiguroo Ji Kee Fateh!
With the blessings and Agyaa of Siree Guroo Granth Sahib Ji and their beloved Sikhs,
Sevadaars of 1G UK are proud to announce the launch of their new website - www.1GUK.com.
This website will be a major milestone for the western born Sikh youth, as it will contain a database of English Katha and Talks, from parchaaraks all over the world. It will be the a source on the internet to find Talks related to Sikh History, Gurbani or topics in Sikhi.
It will also have a large collection of downloadable English Books/Pamphlets, so the western born youth can learn about our great history.
A national calendar of 1G events and other national events will also be able to see and export.
A Gurbani Santhiya Resource page has also been made, so those who are learning how to read Gurbani, can in one place find audio recordings of the alphabet, and improve their Panjabi through a English medium, other more detailed pothi sahibs such as Gurbani Paath Darpan will also be hosted, alongside helpful videos and articles explaining Gurbani.
With Guru Sahibs Grace, the summer is looking packed for 1G as we hope to hold events throughout the summer. The website will keep everyone updated with the latest news, and keep in contact with us through various mediums:

We need somebody in Midlands (postcode to collect from: NN10 0EQ) to pick up some glass cases for a upcoming seva project of showcasing a antique collection relating to Sikhism.
If the Bhen/Veer who picks it up, we could collect from them @ any upcoming smagam/prog or if any of the sevadaars are local area.

<div>To maintain respect of Gurbani (The Guru’s word) is the duty of every Sikh. We fail to do so, due to the lack of education. This short article highlights how to maintain respect of Gurbani in the form of Gutka Sahibs, Senchiaa or other Pothi Sahibs in our homes.</div>
<div>Key protocols on how to keep Gurbani at home with respect:</div>
<ul>
<li>
<div>A Gutka Sahib should be kept in the highest floor in a house, in a clean and comfortable environment.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Ensure that where the Gutkeh Sahib is kept is cleaned regularly, and dust or dirt is not allowed to build up.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Gutkeh Sahib should be always kept covered in a clean cloth or rumalla and these should be changed regularly.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>The Gutka Sahib should not be kept where there is a chance being disrespected, or where meat or intoxicants are consumed.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>You should not sit higher or on the same level as a Gutka sahib or somebody reading Gurbani, or put your feet in that direction.</div>
</li>
</ul>
<div>Whilst Reading Gurbani, key points to keep in mind:</div>
<ul>
<li>
<div>Before, ensure that nobody will be sitting higher than the reader who will be holding the Gutka Sahib</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>The area is clean, and is not where people consume meat or intoxicants.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>The reader should wash their hands, feet and face before touching the Gutka Sahib. Hands should be dried thoroughly.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>The reader should be wearing a “hazooriaa” a scarf, around there neck, to insure that if they need to touch anything, they should do so with the hazooria and not their hands which will touch the Gutka Sahib.</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Reading Gurbani correctly is also very important, therefore each person should make a effort to regularly to attend Gurbani Santhiya Classes and learn the correct pronunciation of the Guru Ji’s word.</div>
</li>
</ul>

With the Grace of Satuguru Siree Granth Sahib Jee Maharaaj,
Sevadaars of the True Guru have organised a Gurbani Satkaar Smagam, in order to raise awareness of recent beadbi (disrespect) of Guru Ji's Bani and in rememberance of the devasting attack on Bow Gurdwara in 2009, which resulted in 11 Saroops of Satguru Ji being burnt.
The Akhandh Paath Smagam will take place at, With Arambta on the 16th March, at 10.30am. Bhog Sunday 18th March (10.30am).

The First Talk - "Beadbi - Disrespect of the Guru's word" will be on 16th March @ 7.30pm
The talk will be at, Singh Sabha Gurdwara Barking, Essex 100 North Street, Barking, Essex, IG11 8JD.
Bhai Navreet Singh, a prominet english speaker will be delivering this talk.
Youth Keertan Darbaar on the 17th March, Keertan Seva by local youth. There will be English Talk on "Who is Your Guru?" @ 6.30pm at Mata Sahib Kaur Academy.
Pizzas will be included in the Langar
The Final Day we will have for a special Keertan Katha Darbaar,
With Keertan Seva by Bhai Jagpal Singh (TBC), and Katha in English by Bhai Sukhraj Singh (TBC).

The Youth of London have organised a Smagam in the loving memory of Siree Guroo Gobind Singh Jee Maharaaj's Prakash Divas and the great sacrifices of Baba Ajeet Singh Jee, Baba Jujhaar Singh Jee, Baba Zoravar Singh Jee and Baba Fateh Singh Jee and Mata Gujhar Kaur Jee.
The Smagam will take place at:
Guru Amardas Hall - Opposite Guru Amardas Gurdwara
There will Talks/Katha in English by various national youth speakers, and a special final diwan by Nirvair Khalsa Jatha on Bhog.
The LONDON PREMIER of the newly relesed animated film; 'Singh Soorme' will be shown on the 27th Dec, 6.30pm.
Langar Seva by Rockys
Youth Keertan Darbaar on the 28th Dec, Keertan Seva by; Bibi Gurbinder Kaur of Acapella Jatha, Bibi Darshan Kaur and Bhai Hari Singh and other Youth. Also Katha in English on Guru Gobind Singh Jee's Prakash.
During the day their will also be an Antiques Workshop, showing some rare images and pothee sahibs as well as shastars.
Pizzas will be included in the Langar
The Final Day we will have Bhai Harinder Singh and Nirvair Khalsa Jatha UK for a special Divan, Sangat TV will be recording the Bhog Divan
