If Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings come from God and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are the jyot of the ten Guru Jis then why are we asking this question?

If we are talking about the picture of Guru Ji that is still in the post then I strongly disagree. No one has the right to tell another Sikh whether or not he can have a pic of Guru Ji in their post. That is a picture of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji as some people believe they looked in human form. It has not been banned in any way and there are many oher pictures of the Gurus so please keep the picture.

As far as I am aware people used to have Nagar Kirtans where they simply sung kirtan through the pind and collected sewa at the same time and passed by on streets so people who didn't attend Gurdwara Sahib may also be fortuante to listen to kirtan.
