We sikhs are fighting for respect and honour for Turban, but we have black sheep in our community who are otherwise preaching for adopting sikh rituals , but in fact are exploiting the innocent people with religious overtones. They are minting money from abroad . In fact they are running religious trusts and expanding their activity in Education ,under this garb they are minting crores of rupees under the pretext of running the welfare of community. They are infact not concerned for religious Maryada. They on one hand are propagating religious rituals but themselves disregard the rituals and causing disrespect to Dastar. The students of Akal Academy Reeth Kheri, Patiala were also taken to Gurudwara Dukhnivran Sahib, at Patiala, on date - 02.05.11on the eve of gurparab , where students of many schools of Patiala were also invited, Students there recited path , Which I feel is very good thing to inculcate the habit of gurbani. I was shocked to learn that after the students returned to the school a senior teacher Smt. Gurmeet kaur ( Coordinator) , who is herself baptized sikh ,acted in a very absurd manner, showing disrespect to the sikh religious sentiments , she forcebly removed Dastar publically , of the 10 to 15 students of class VIII of this school in the presence of the whole class , as she wanted to check if some one had stolen some money from another Teachers purse. However nothing was recovered from the students . The students were pressurized not to report the matter to their parents. This caused embarrassment to the students as they were publically searched and disrespect was shown to the Dastar. Which is a integral part of our sikh rehat maryada. This is indeed a shameful act. Why the Principal failed to take action against the culprit teacher is a mystery. Either she had herself allowed to misadventure . I being a sikh, I am very much shocked and disturbed at the unethical practices being promoted . It seems the school is only exploiting the sentiments of religious people to build a big business. Infact ,the school ( Akal Academy) do not respect the sentiments and religion ,as well as education. This institution stresses on daily prayers and reciting Gurbani. But unfortunately at the same time it is practicing and promoting unethical means ,maligning the religious standards , the Sikh rituals have no value for teachers and school management , it should stop such practice of exploitation of the name of Gurbani or religion. The school is deceiving the students by creating wrong standards . Misuse of religion is a big crime and an act of blaspheme . If this does not stop the faith of all of sikh devotees will be shaken from the religious- educational institutions . Being a devoted sikh it is my foremost duty t o report this incidents to you. I urge to all religious minded people of Sikh community and your good self that this malpractice should be stopped , The institution should be stopped for playing with the Sentiments of people, with immediate effect, in the very name of Guru Granth Sahib to whom we all are subjected to seek strength and solace. It is also very serious matter if the name of Sikh religion is misused. It is the moral responsibility of the Institution, which has sought refuge in religious scriptures to avoid such activities. I hope you will condemn this act of the school and educational trust Kalgidhar Trust Baru Sahib , and force the trust to initiate action against those who are defaming and indulging in illegal activity. I had reported this matter to the Kalgidhar Trust Baru Sahib ,Secretary, Dr.Davinder Singh ,vide my email for about 30 times since 15th May 11. But the Trust seems to be involved and are not interested to take any action against the culprit Principal of Akal Academy ,Reeth Kheri, Patiala (Punjab). Rather they have developed a defensive attitude. Now the community needs to take a strong action against the defaulters to save the prestige of the Turban. I appeal to all sikh people and religious organisations to condemn such attitude of the Trust,as they are cheating exploiting and are a blot on the name of Sikh Maryada.Only a public pressure can stop them,They have grown financially because they are being supported from foreign brothers and institutions.
